Maybe Expedia was the Problem?
Booked thru Expedia and it appeared the agency was at the airport. After waiting a long time for the shuttle I contacted Hertz, but it was a chatbot and my never question was never answered. Eventually I had to Uber to Hertz (and back upon return), which was more expensive than the car rental. Once I got there, there was a long line and it took way longer than it should have. I did pre check in, which added no value. There were 5 employees working, but only one was at the register. Apparently one was in training, and the other 3 were assigned to vehicles, so they were just standing there waiting, as the representative locked herself out of the system and it was taking a long time. I had an hour drive to my appointment and barely made it. I should have been there an hour early. Hertz is off my list.

Very helpful and nice. The local Hertz 3444 W. Loop 289 Lubbock Tx. They helped me out one day with a rental car in a tight situation. I have used them now for several months and will continue. I did not go back to my old rental car company. They are great and work really hard to help their customers.

Picking up and returning the car was quick and seamless. The customer service was great and when I returned the car early and reported an issue with the car, concern was expressed in an appropriate manner.
