When we arrived at the Hertz board at…
When we arrived at the Hertz board at Logan Airport it said to speak with a representative. We checked and were told to wait for a car. The staff seemed very disorganized and unprofessional. There were a few representatives working but some seemed bored and didn’t take their job seriously. After waiting about 20 minutes a representative with some initiative finally was able to help us get a car. What was annoying is the car we ended up taking was sitting in the lot the entire time we were waiting. We could have immediately taken the car without waiting. The other issue was after driving away we got a check tire light. We had to go to a tire center to get the air pressure checked. All of the tires were at 31 and they should be at 34. This was the first time this has happened in all the trips we have taken. I would think that this would be reviewed prior to us renting the car.
Zero cars in president circle at…
Zero cars in president circle at arrival. Actual no cars in all classes
Told to get in a line and wait for cars to be delivered. President circle had no line advantage. Waited 15 minutes in line and when my turn came up i had to take the car delivered to me. It was a stripped doen kia midsize car ... a piece of crap. It took me ovet 30 minutes to get out of there and was stuck with what I got. I was late getting to a wedding. Worse car selection process evet in my 40 years renting hertz!
Well taken care of by staff.
Smooth
The whole process is smooth. Advanced checked in. Skip the line. Looking for your name on the board. And choose your car. Returning the car also is smooth. No lined up traffic. Great experience !
Presidents Circle member
Presidents Circle member. Upon picking up the car in Boston, I was surprised at the gate when the Belligerent attendant told me they needed an additional $200 "deposit" before letting me drive out. I've never had this happen before, Hertz has all my financial information and the credit card used has a $50,000 limit... WTF? Not using Hertz again. Done.
Pick-up and return processing was…
Pick-up and return processing was efficient. I had to clean the interior windshield to clearly see to drive.
Beware: Hertz will charge you for gas even when you fill the tank
The pick up went smooth but the drop off left me with such a sour taste in my mouth. We filled the suv to the top over 20 gallons 4 minutes from the airport. We left keys and headed to gate as the instructions said we could.
10 minutes later we received bill saying we did not fill the gas tank and added an extra 275 to bill. What a fraudulent business practice Hertz is doing. They are gonna end up in a lawsuit. Assuming that every car comes back empty or not full without having someone visually look at it and then charge the customer for that amount of fuel and make the customer prove that they filled it up is unconscionable. I had then spent over an hour on the phone with Hertz proving that I had filled the tank.
Bad experience with vehicle
Bad experience with vehicle. Constantly have to air up right rear tire. No washer fluid.
President status
President status, name on the board says see desk,15 people in line only one clerk,no one at gold desk, went outside for help 5 people standing around no one would help and asked the to go help girl at the counter reply was not my job, waited for almost an hour to be handed my keys and that was it
Hertz "damage" scam
Hertz suprise-charged me for damaging their car *after* I left the garage, so I was unable to inspect the alleged damage areas. Their "damage" is not visible to the naked eye, but evidently occurred in 5 different places on the car. Hertz's evidence of this damage is not ordinary photography, but some wavy lines. I did not damage the car, nor did I allow it to be damaged while it was in my care. I will see them in court before I pay this charge.
The car was fine
The car was fine. The people were OK the extra fees and taxes and required insurance besides our own insurance $200 fee in case of a scratch. All of these costs were ridiculous. You should be very upfront with the actual cost, including tax and all these add-on fees.

Car was very dirty inside (spilled coffee stains, food crumbles) and I needed to clean it by myself.
I booked and mid size SUV and were allowed to choose out of presidents circle. But only smaller cars were available for like 30 min. It felt like I didn’t get for what I was paying for. I almost chose a small car that I have one. Luckily they pulled out a Jeep after 30 mins.
My flight was delayed
My flight was delayed. I had a lengthy wait but that was understandable. However, I was first inconvenienced by having to call to dispute a 2 gallon fuel charge added to my bill despite filling thecar two blocks from the Logan return center to full.
Further, I was heading to RI and declined the daily Toll Covearge. It appears that the car was left with the box open and despite not signing up for the daily tolls I was billed for them.
I only croosed the Newport RI bridge both ways two times and waiting on a refund and a reply for those daily charges.
The check in ease was superb
The check in ease was superb. The honesty of the young man at the exit gate regarding toll roads was outstanding.

My name was not on the Gold member board upon arrival to pick up my car. Also, I switched my drop-off time from 10:00 to 10:30 am & was promptly charged $10! Luckily, I got the charge removed after going to customer service but that was really unnecessary for the co. to do that!
No cars available and long wait time
I was in the President's circle and the first can I sat in had a problem with the dash not displaying - even if I toggle the brightness up - it did not work. The 2nd car I tried had no key. the 3rd car I eventually took only had 1/2 tank of gas so I wondered if it was even clean. The checkout time took 30 mins. this was on a Thursday night about Midnight or 1 am Fri morning but still. the worker comped me a tank of gas but it was embarrasing for Hertz
Hertz at Boston-Logan airport makes…
Hertz at Boston-Logan airport makes renting a car so simple. I rent on the app. I walk straight to a pre assigned car, or have chosen a car once I get there in the past, and return it by driving in and leaving keys. No hassling with employees. We always have gotten very nice, clean, newer vehicles.
