It was a great rental car and pretty easy process going to it. My only major confusion was not really knowing where to go to get the car. There should be a clearer sign with instructions to a sections... See more

Tired of having to video tape my car when I pick it up and video tape the car upon return. If you don't do this you will be falsely accused of damage to the car.

The car was not exactly as big as a Camry, but it was still very much comfortable inside. It managed well and the fuel economy was excellent.
Imaginary parking fines that can’t be documented, shown or proven to even exist?
Rental was really good but Hertz has later charged me for two parking tickets that doesn’t seem to exist…
I rented a carin Manchester and during my 4-5 days i got a parking fine (70£) which was paid on the same day.
But Hertz suddenly made up two additional fines and charged me 2 x 102 £ but when asking their customer support they can’t document or provide any proof or info about these imaginary parking fines…
Daylight robbery!
Avoid LAX Marriot hotel location like the plague.
I booked and paid for a large SUV from the LAX Marriot Hotel location 5 months ago, after a 13 hour flight today I turned up at the rental location to be told 'nope, we haven't got any, all we've got are minivans or you can have a small SUV'.
When I suggested they check other Hertz locations nearby for a large SUV the answer was 'can't do that'.
No apology, no offer to try and fix their mistake, just take a minivan or nothing.
We then had to wait an hour for the soccer mom vehicle to turn up.
I'm now stuck with a crappy vehicle on a 2,000+ mile, 2.5 week vacation with my family - drove 80 miles from LA to our hotel tonight and the minivan is awful.
Been using Hertz for years for business and pleasure - this is the last time.
My advice - avoid the LAX Marriot Hotel location like the plague.

The Hertz counter at the San Jose (SJC) airport are real professionals. I love it when I arrive to the counter and everything is in order with the car waiting for me.

Left me stranded, then charged a no show fee
Booked a rental several months early. Go to pick up rental it's not there, in fact they were turning around everybody that day. Completely stranded in a city that I've never been before. Had to spend $$ to Uber to another rental agency and get a last minute booking for even more $$$.
Soon after they charged me a "no show fee".

I was referred by Lincoln Pines to the Hertz location at Pines Ford to pick up a rental vehicle while my car was being serviced.
I have used this Hertz location several times before. Each time, I paid the security deposit with my debit card and was told the funds would be released within 5–7 days, which is exactly what happened in the past.
This time was completely different.
After 7 days, I still had not received my money back. I contacted Hertz and was then told it would actually take 10 days. That was the first sign of poor communication, since this had never been the case before.
I waited 10 days, still nothing.
After 13 business days, I called again. The representative simply kept repeating what sounded like a scripted response instead of looking into the issue. I asked to speak with a supervisor, who asked whether I had used a credit or debit card. Once I explained that I had used a debit card, I was suddenly told it could take up to 30 days for the deposit to be returned.
I repeatedly explained that this had never been the standard process in my previous rentals and asked why this time was different. Instead of investigating, they just kept repeating the same response over and over like robots.
Now I'm left waiting to see whether I actually receive my money back within 30 days or whether I'll have to pursue other options.
And one final point: the rental cars at this Hertz location are consistently dirty, have unpleasant odors, the customer service is slow and unprofessional, and the entire experience is frustrating.
Easy check-in and rental pick-up
Easy check-in and rental pick-up - Drop off in Malaga was a little complicated
Expected Gold and got Silver
While the car we had was fine, we paid for a midsize SUV, and when we got to the Gold lot, all the SUVs were gone. When I'm driving in a new area, I like sitting higher up so I can see the road better.
One of the lot attendants noticed us and we explained the problem. I went to get in line, and he came back with a compact SUV — better than a regular car, but still not what I paid for.
I understand the Gold "take any vehicle you want" concept, but if I'm scheduled for a midsize SUV and the inventory shows none left, Hertz should either bring more onto the lot or offer some money back. I could have stood in a 45-minute-to-1-hour line and eventually gotten what I paid for, or better — but the difference between a compact and a midsize SUV wasn't worth that kind of delay.
I've always used Hertz Gold in the past, and this is the first time there wasn't a single vehicle available in the class I paid for.

I hired from Hertz in Béziers In France. Newish car with no problems. I returned it when the office was closed and put the keys in the drop box. Shortly afterwards, I received an email from Hertz claiming the car was damaged They demanded €350 to repair it. They failed to supply evidence and, only after I submitted photographs taken before and after the hire period did they back down. The claim was fraudulent.
It is up to the claimant to provide proof of damage not the hirer to defend himself.
ALWAYS TAKE PHOTOS BEFORE AND AFTER. CROOKED OUTFIT.
Helpful staff, even when busy
The staff at Green Bay road were very pleasant and helpful to customers but you can tell they are not happy with the company. Management needs to do something about that.
Left stranded
Left stranded. Broken promises and zero customer service.
Absolute nightmare experience. My flight was delayed, so I proactively called Hertz to let them know. The agent explicitly confirmed they were tracking my flight and promised someone would be at the desk for 30 minutes after my plane landed. When I arrived, the counter was completely abandoned. No staff, no note, and absolutely no way to get my keys. They completely broke their promise and left me stranded at the airport after a stressful flight. Utterly unprofessional and zero accountability. Avoid this company at all costs.
70 Euro car upgrade ended in 210 Euro…
70 Euro car upgrade ended in 210 Euro extra cost
My experience with the Hertz rental desk at Palma de Mallorca Airport was extremely disappointing.
I booked my rental through DiscoverCars. At the Hertz desk, I was offered an upgrade to a larger 7-seat vehicle for €7 per day (around €70 total). That was the only additional cost that was explained to me, and I agreed to the upgrade.
I was then asked to authorise the security deposit with my Mastercard. Only afterwards was I presented with the rental contract, where I discovered additional charges, including an extra driver fee and taxes that had never been mentioned.
When I questioned these unexpected charges, the Hertz employee told me they could not see the final price until the contract was printed. I was also told that, because I had already authorised the deposit, I could not cancel the upgrade or return to my original booking through DiscoverCars. I therefore felt I had no realistic option but to continue with the rental.
Immediately after the rental, I contacted both the local Hertz Palma de Mallorca Airport office and DiscoverCars by email to dispute the additional charges. DiscoverCars responded and attempted to assist, but I never received any reply from Hertz. Instead, a few days after the rental ended, Hertz simply charged the disputed amount to my Mastercard without ever responding to my complaint.
In my opinion, this process is not transparent. Customers should be able to see and review the complete rental agreement, including all charges, before being asked to authorise a deposit or commit to the rental. I also believe customers should receive a response when they formally dispute unexpected charges, rather than having the disputed amount collected without any explanation.
Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend renting from the Hertz rental desk at Palma de Mallorca Airport. I would strongly encourage anyone renting there to insist on seeing the full contract and every charge before authorising any payment or deposit.
On Monday night around 10:30PM
On Monday night around 10:30PM, Lady was very rude. Other staff member was dealing with us and got up from her seat and started rude talking, very unfriendly location.
Great All Around
Great office, great staff, clean cars. All Hertz locations should strive to be as professional as the Gardena location.
Booked a van Hertz 24hr
Booked a van, used for 3 hours and paid. Simple, quick service all via mobile Hertz 24.
1 month later receive an invoice of traffic violation, a bridge the van crossed and didnt pay. Money was taken from my account without any prior notice or chance to dispute.
A)I never went over this bridge
B)On closer inspection of the fine, the crossing was on a completely different date to my rental
The company are impossible to get through to and dispite email, using chat bot, you get nowhere.
Avoid !

We were able to get the vehicle we needed for the amount of time we needed it. They worked with us to accommodate the holiday weekend. Overall good experience.
The wait time was ridiculous
The wait time was ridiculous. You offer a pre-check in, free from going to the desk but it wasn't available. This is the second time I have waited in line for over an hour and a half to pickup a vehicle.
