I’ve given this location—the closest one to my home—multiple chances, but the service is consistently terrible. Despite being a Five Star Elite member, my status is completely ignored every time I walk through the door.
Almost every visit starts with staff claiming they don't have any cars available, only for them to magically "find" one after I literally point out the rows of vehicles sitting right outside on the lot. Even then, I am never given the car class or vehicle type I actually reserved and paid for.
To make matters worse, they repeatedly fail to link my Hertz Five star Gold Plus Rewards account to my reservations. This creates an administrative nightmare during the rental, causes massive headaches after returning the vehicle, and deprives me of the reward points I’m owed. On one rental, I returned the car and 3 days later get a text saying I still had the car!
I had to call corporate and an hour of my time.
It is a frustrating, mismanaged, and overall horrible experience. Save yourself the stress and rent from a different location.

Nice vehicle and customer service at Clearwater location. Very disappointed at business policies. I paid in advance and having problems getting 2 day refund for retuning early due to family emergency. I’m a gold member and feel like this policy should be amended. The vehicle did not have washer fluid in it which was poor quality preparation on the business side for renting out a vehicle.
