The rental went very well ... Until an unjustified toll bill came through
The rental went very well ... until I received a blll for tolls AFTER using my own EZ Pass toll tag and paying all my tolls already with my tag. The EZ Pass tag in the rental was safely tucked away in its own sealed box. This should NOT have happened. Now I have to go through the hassle of appealing this to Hertz in order to get them to reimburse the $230.93 they just debited to my credit card. How does this happen? I even called Hertz ahead of time to make sure it was okay to use my own EZ Pass tag. It was fine and the rental agency also told me I could use my own tag. So WHY does this happen?? Even after contacting Hertz and presenting my own EZPass statement, per their request, for the time I drove the rental they still refuse to reimburse my credit card even though the toll statement they sent to me does not correlate at all with my travel itinerary. Very frustrating.
