First time I leave an online review like this. I have been a customer since somewhere around 2006/2007. It’s always been a joy to order from hhv with excellent service both through discogs and their site. I always visit the physical store when I visit Berlin. Fast shipping and great products. Call me a fanboy if you want. Only once before did I contact hhv with a problem (a faulty needle) and it was resolved quickly.

I made an order in the beginning of December. Both records and clothing. For the first time I bought two used records from hhv. Upon arrival (10th of December) I noticed that one of the two used records were a much cheaper reissue instead of the advertised original pressing and the other was completely wrong - a really uninteresting cheap 12” instead of a rare one. Both were housed in plastic sleeves with hhvs own labels with barcodes from the original records I bought. (I can see why there was a mistake since it probably looked correct in the system when they scanned them if they were in a rush.) Everything else of my 400-ish € order looked good.

I contacted customer service straight away through telephone but was referred to email. I got a quick answer suggesting 50% refund. I replied that I didn’t understand and that I wanted a full refund (ca 114€) for the records I didn’t get and that I’m happy to return the two records I didn’t order to hhv if they pay for shipping. I got no answer for a week, so emailed again. Then got replies from two different employees giving me alternatives for a solution. I answer I want my money back. Some days later I get a reply with a question of what amount I want back. I answer again but with the exact amount. Next reply from hhv almost two weeks later (it’s Christmas so fair enough if it takes some time) - now I’m asked if I want a return label. I reply ”sure I happily ship the faulty records back - but I also want my money). This was the 6th of January and as of today no answer.

I just find the faulty records and the communication, now well over a month so confusing, complicated and surprising for hhv which seems like such a solid company. I don’t know what to do to move forward. Hhv is a company with good rep in my world so I’m very surprised.

Communication has been very friendly from hhv I want to add.

Update:
After I wrote this I got sent return labels. My money was returned the day after HHV received the faulty records. All in all I’m happy about the outcome but it took nearly 45 days from my first contact. And the process was also time consuming. Will buy again and hope everything is good then since their stock is unmatched in the EU-zone. Probably won’t buy used records again though.

I paid for a pre-order on August 2024. They shipped my vynil last 17th of December. So far, I have not received anything and they are not even replying my emails anymore. I paid almost 80€ for a vynil that it's probably lost.

I am so done with HHV, they customer service is terrible.

Bought a used vinyl album in supposed "NM" condition. The album came without hype sticker on outside protective sleeve, and it was a 20BS album, so they always come with a hype sticker on the plastic protective sleeve. But apparently not this one!

And the vinyl itself had visible marks and on it, nothing deep but it sure wasn't in "NM" condition.

Would not recommend this seller to anyone, scammers is what they are!

I placed an order with them via discogs order #181681-464447 over the holidays. I placed about 15 other orders and I thought I had paid them all and I unfortunately forgot the one I placed with HHV.de and they never reached out to me, instead just left me negative feedback after 5days of the order being placed. I messaged them several times wanting to pay and remedy this. I got zero response after over a week. I then emailed them through their website and again no reply. I’m new to discogs and their negative feedback hurts my reputation as a new user and they have ZERO customer service and seemingly want to destroy others with their lack of communications. I also got engaged during the time of the order and had family in my midst, god forbid I forgot to pay them over this period. If they had just reached out with a reminder I could’ve paid right away. I have paid for all my orders and pride myself to have good business practices. I did forget and that is on me but for a company as big as HHV.De is they should be able to reply to its customer base. I will NEVER purchase from them and will let everyone know how terrible they are. I wish them all the luck with their lack of service as they have forgotten that customer service goes a long way.

I ordered some limited edition records from HHV. For 10 consecutive months, I received a notification "order has been delayed - new shipping date is next month". I thought, some of the smaller labels may face challenges once in a while, and that's ok. I do not mind waiting. After 11 months I thought, I might just look into this. I can see on discogs that the record is out for a while so it clearly was not a production delay. I contact HHV and they basically say "not our problem - we cannot say when or if we will be able to ship this item. Do you want to cancel that item? Or maybe split the order in two and pay an extra shipment fee?". I mean, the f*** nerve. They sit on my money for close to a year and do not offer any sort of compensation or anything. I am not responsible for being on top of their supply chain. We made a deal that you have not been able to honor. I have been very patient and overbearing but I end up being the only one losing out when they cannot deliver what they sold. What they took my money for. Piss poor customer service. I cancelled the order and got the items from other shops without issue. Not shopping there again.

i ordered a product on November 15th and was told it would arrive on the 23rd, and it has been constantly delayed with little to no communication. This service is a scam, order from anywhere else, under no circumstances should you trust this company.

Disgusting attitude towards clients. They sent my order, but later it returned to them. After several letters they answered only 1 and said that “they couldn’t find the address and couldn’t send this”. But I don’t know who is “they”. Also they gave no info about the future of the purchase. After additional 5 letters they remained silent and then cancelled my order without any explanation. Fraud

I really hope this company is legit. Made a purchase last week, but have not received any order confirmation. I can imagine it can get busy around this time of the year, but currently the customer service has been non existent.

Unredeemable vouchers. I was going to make a purchase on their site because I remembered they sent me a voucher for 25% off my next purchase, but when I went to activate it - it was invalid because the date had expired! Pointless to have an expiry date on a personal code, seems like it’s just an advertising method to increase sales in slow periods rather than encouraging customer loyalty. Won’t be purchasing from them again in the future.

For a very long time, they ignored my question regarding the refund for a defective product. It made me nervous. But in the end they made a refund, so the guys did well, since they value their reputation. You can deal with them.
They also ship goods quickly, which is undoubtedly a plus. I think I will contact you again.

I’ve received my vinyl damaged and want to return it. Because there is no automated international return process, you are directed to the customer services email address. I’ve written five days ago and haven’t received an answer. Contact via social media is unresponsive as well, as is the phone number (you get an auto message). I can’t understand you treat your customers like that in case of a defect. Just unacceptable.
