This review relates to a job…

This review relates to a job application process with Hibernia College, not to any of their courses or programmes.

I was approached by a recruiter on LinkedIn for a role within their team and progressed through a five-stage interview process, including a final in-person presentation. I invested a significant amount of time preparing for each stage.

After the final round, I received no communication whatsoever. No call, no email, and no update to confirm the outcome.

To put a candidate through five stages and then fail to provide even a basic response is extremely unprofessional and shows a lack of respect for the time and effort involved.

A simple follow-up would have taken minutes. Instead, I was left with no closure after a lengthy and demanding process.

Based on my experience, the recruitment process is poorly managed and lacks basic communication standards.

Hibernia College Dublin

I started this course unsure to be honest. I fell unwell during the course however with mental health so I talked with the director about going away and coming back to finish it at a later date (under doctors recommendations). They would not allow this and insisted I pay the 10 grand again. In the end I had to drop out for health reasons and the was no recompense. It wouldn't have cost them anything to let me finish the course out and return to it at a reduced rate in the future but they were non compliant to any suggestions or offerings. So for me, it was a complete waste of money, time and effort. I am better now and on good medecine regularly and probably will be for the rest of my life but I cannot afford to spend another 10,000 which is a lot of money when you cannot work on top of that and have to fund yourself for the two years so it was a complete loss for me except for two insignificant certificates that I was awarded at the time for my effort up to then. I would not recommend it and I always got the feeling that it is a money making entreprise.
