High Grassings country house.
Been visiting The Lakes for 50 years and recently had a weekend stay here at High Grassings. This is a beautiful house with stunning views situated in an area where you can hear only the wind and birds as very little traffic impacts it. The owner, Dave and his wife, Kath are very warm, welcoming and helpful hosts and Dave is a great source of information on the area having been there for many years. The food is first class and we would highly recommend this if you want an adults only, no dogs, peaceful stay. We love kids and dogs, but sometimes, you need a break. After a day walking when the evening temperature drops, it's great to sit and chat in the spacious lounge in front of a log burning fire. Total chillout experience. 10 out of 10.
