The car is stripped of parts. Not a single thing on the car is complete.
Avoid the company!

In March this year, I came across a for sale advert for a Jaguar E Type Roadster from Hilltop Auto which was advertised on eBay. The title stated here we have our turnkey vehicle, which means involving the provision of a complete product that is ready for immediate use. The car drives stops and goes through the gears. The vehicle will require a new interior and some surface bodywork paint, this I was informed about after speaking with Ray Crook the owner. Now the main problem with these vehicles is rust which is the killer so I spoke with Ray in depth about it and asked him to inspect it for me. Later I was informed it was a solid car. After paying the 40k it arrives back in the UK at the docks and I could not believe the state of it. The vehicle was sitting at the docks with cargo straps holding the doors and the bonnet closed because of not closing shut and no locks present. The windscreen was found to be cracked and missing all the chrome trim covers, and the side glass window missing and the other would not roll up without excessive force. The boot could not be opened without pushing up and down on top of it. Then inside the boot, a plastic petrol can be laying on the boot floor, supplying fuel instead of the main petrol tank which had been disconnected. By then fuel had leaked out of the plastic can onto the floor area. The two seats in the car were unbolted from the floor and just placed at a wedged angle.No water in the header radiator tank and hoses all split and various engine components missing. In the footwell was an old plastic box full of nuts and bolts and repair manuals.

Here is the biggest killer because the carpets were beyond salvageable as I was informed. You could see rust and holes which were visible across the floor and stopped up with nasty car body filler compound. The outside of the car body also had deep filler compound present in most of the panels which were starting to fall away.

I guess whoever reads this will now know what I am about to say that's right the vehicle would not start and no it's not the battery, still being worked on.

After chasing up these individuals and being ignored and then lied to about compensation I have now had to revert to this to warn other decent honest people so hopefully, they will not fall into the same trap. I am now in the process of reporting this company to the Massachusetts Auto dealer licensing body about their conduct and advertising practices.

Please if you see an advert for Hilltop Auto Norwell look elsewhere unless you wish to throw your money away.
