Typical Money-Grubbing
Thought they were fine until it came to cancelling. Forgot I had 2 policies so only requested one to be cancelled.
Rather than understanding my mistake and acknowledging that I'd been with Hiscox for years and years, they wanted me to call in to pay a final ~£10 amount to cover the contracted cancellation period.
Technically correct of course and it's not a lot, but it left a bit of a sour taste after nearly 14 years.
Ah well, should've known that loyalty only ever goes one way...

Securing a quote on line can be a laborious process. The website is slow and can hang without giving a coherent reason. The site even hangs on some addresses that it finds through its own post code search, eg if a flat name string is too long for it. Also it will hang unless a postcode is entered with no spaces, which is an incorrect format for postcodes.

On 7 January, Hiscox publicly responded to my earlier review, stating they would investigate and asked me to email them with further details. I did so promptly. It has now been over six weeks and I have received no acknowledgement or response. This continued lack of follow-up does not reflect a proactive approach to resolving customer concerns.
