I would strongly advise avoiding Hitched as a supplier. Over the past year, I’ve seen a 31% drop in storefront impressions and a 35% reduction in leads, despite being told that doubling my territories would noticeably improve reach, enquiries, and bookings. This hasn’t happened, and I feel I was misled into a contract I was hesitant to renew in the first place.
The cost per conversion is now around £475 and climbing, with a booking rate of just 3% — and falling. For context, I achieve far better results through other wedding directories and paid marketing channels such as social media.
Customer service has also been disappointing — slow to respond, and uninterested in performance once you’re locked into a 12-month contract.
Update: I was gifted their silver package in my home county for the remainder of my term. Despite being boosted further up the page, I have still seen abysmal reach and performance from the Hitched listing. Other marketing channels are proving far more successful and resonating with an audience. The directory is still seeing poor performance in terms of engagement and qualified leads.
My genuine review as a wedding photographer is don't bother listing on hitched as it is just a waste of money. They promise you the world, but deliver poor leads.
Now I have got to soak up a £850 loss on marketing from the directory. I asked for a cancellation in the contract just to dampen the pain; however, the hitched team couldn't care less.

Hitched is a brilliant website for all things weddings. I used Hitched to narrow down venues and then select my chosen venue and to seek answers to various questions throughout the wedding planning process.

My fiancé and I have been using Hitched to research venues and suppliers for our wedding, couldn’t recommend it more! We found Google overwhelming, and Hitched is a really clear and easy way to build our shortlist. Thank you!

Really useful website to organise a wedding. Only downside you can’t input vendors outside of the choices available.

I did a lot of diy things for my wedding, I didn’t want to spend a fortune on invites and Hitched allowed me to do this for free - granted I didn’t have a physical invite but that didn’t bother me. Hitched tracked all of the meal preferences and guest list information which took a lot of organization off my plate. I also wouldn’t have found my venue, if it were not for Hitched. Super happy with Hitched.
If there were any negative, I would say that it’s the association with Wedshoots. I created an album and then changed my mind but I couldn’t delete the album without deleting my account. But deleting the account would mean all of my Hitched information would be deleted as well.

I booked hair and make up for my wedding with Gemma from Just About Weddings, a connection via Hitched and paid a large deposit. Gemma set herself up as local on bridal site Hitched but after I’d paid I found she would be travelling 300 miles (each way) for our wedding. When she subsequently left Just About Weddings I wasn’t contacted by her or Just About Weddings and my call to them wasn’t returned. I turned to Hitched for help but they’ve just said the arrangement has nothing to do with them and sorry and gosh how dreadful. A platform like this should be able to leverage its relationship with its vendors when required to support buyers otherwise how can any buyer trust it? Well, the answer for Hitched is you can’t trust them and they won’t help you. My advice is go local and do your homework before you commit financially.

Hello
I left a review a month ago or so - hitched asked me for my details to "resolve my issues and look in to a further" - i responded and then they never did anything about it nor ever reached out to me.
Just wanted to leave this review to highlight this as its a common theme and i think they are only leaving these comments on negative feedback to appear as if they are doing something about peoples unhappiness and it couldnt be further from the truth

Why is this company still allowed to operate? The positive reviews seem fake and mainly photographers ??
The response to bad reviews is a template thank you to the suppliers who have shared their experiences on here.
Having been in the wedding business for 30 years I'm shocked and angry with how this company operates.
I'm going to contact trading standards about this company as it masquerading as a legitimate company . Hitched your days are numbered.

Absolutley shocking as a supplier.
Sent several tickets and contact forms about my account and recieved absolutely no response, even the last one asking to delete my account as there is no way of doing it yourself...
Suppliers, go elsewhere, there's loads of other websites out there that actually have a customer service...

I use hitched, and am currently paying them. They are fully aware they lie about traffic, seems they are active and complicit in the bots, and wont do anything to stop them. Do not use hitched, stay clear of them. Maybe make a profile, but dont give them a penny. They are not friendly to the user or the customer.
It really is this simple, add a captcha for any and all people who wish to use the site. That stops bots, it has stopped them for YEARS. It takes two clicks as an admin to add btw, I have my own site and have it on myself. Will they do it? NO! Because the bots are allowing them to inflate how many people use the site, how much interest some businesses get and so on. The bots trick not-so-bright companies into thinking there is real use, and some of the bots seem specifically designed to reply, I would love to say hitched dont have a hand in this, but evidence is suggesting otherwise (too many coincidences).
Hitched are completely complicit and fully aware.
Even if you pay, they do not favour you! Their system allows the potential customer to blind fire and shotgun several other vendors, vendors who dont pay and some who do, it is random and done as a complete shotgun, it just offers more and more at the click of a button with the most basic flavour text I have ever seen. Basically just blind fires 10 on average people. Now the person who used the site starts receiving phonecalls unprompted by half of them at least, messages on top, a half tonne of questions from each person, likely the same questions, just overwhelming them in one go. No control for them, just a barrage. And now they are drained and uninterested, does it show them who they messaged first? no.
Yes I told Hitched that they are the only site offering this lack of control and info, they dont care.
How many hires have I got? So far, about 20, not on hitched though. I have landed 20 hires on another site in the exact same time, a site I dont pay. On hitched? 0. Literally 0. I have landed so many gigs completely elsewhere, as those sites are far better managed and far more customer friendly. This one is just... bad. There is no other way to put it.
Difference is, from tricking people into money, they have the money to keep their name up there and keep doing it. Just a cycle of bad. They will try make every claim in the book as to why it may not work out for YOU, but the consistant landing of gigs elsewhere is proving otherwise on a daily basis.

We had the best time working with Zoe and the team on this photoshoot. The atmosphere was great & it was so fun to be a part of. We're obsessed with the final product & loved being part of the Hitched team for the day!

I’m a Photographer that joined Hitched a year ago and they have been nothing but amazing.
I have gained 3/4 of my work through the platform from all the lovely couples who use it for their own individual wedding planning.
The staff who look after me are extremely professional and lovely in guiding me through the process, enabling me to gain new bookings with my wonderful couples.

It’s a scam. I’ve repeatedly tried to leave honest feedback about a supplier, Social Sisters, but my reviews keep getting removed without explanation. When I reached out to ask why, I received no response. It seems clear that Hitched priorities paid listings from suppliers over genuine experiences from real brides. I strongly advise other brides to avoid using Hitched if they want honest reviews and the best chance at finding trustworthy suppliers.
Additional edit after Hitched response: I held my wedding at the Landmark Hotel in London in March 2025 and used the supplier in question. If Hitched had any concerns about the authenticity of my review, they could have easily contacted me for verification. Their response only highlights the fact that they selectively allow certain feedback for suppliers

My experience with the Hitched team (particularly Zoe and Lucy!) whilst working alongside them on a styled shoot was great. The communication, creativity and trust in my work to bring their vision to life was exceptional. Organisation of the shoot was brilliant and the information provided upfront was spot on. Thanks for a fun shoot guys!

If could give it 0 stars I would..
Please dont waste your money using Hitched!
Lots of waste of time enquiries which just come from a click of a button (questioning whether they are actually real people or bots!)
When ive complained about this and the service they spouted out how any clicks to my website there have been and to my socials and that these would have generated leads, basically saying that any bookings made from my website could be down to being listed on Hitched!
Now im being threatened with debt collectors due to refusing to pay a few months because of the awful service! Lovely company!

They sent messages to suppliers as if they were from me, saying I was interested in venues and services I had no interest in. I was getting nonstop emails from the said suppliers (not their fault). I turned off all email notifications, but they continued to email me against my wishes.
Deleted after a day, absolutely horrible app.

I was aggressively cold-called by Hitched and pressured into signing a 12-month contract shortly after launching my business. They made bold claims about the number of leads and exposure I’d get — but I didn’t receive a single booking from their platform.
When I couldn’t afford the payments due to lack of results and being a new business, my account was automatically cancelled. I assumed that was the end of it, but months later I started getting chased by debt collectors for the remaining payments — even after cancellation.
It’s incredibly disappointing how quickly they drop support and switch to aggressive collection tactics. No flexibility, no empathy, just pressure — first to sign up, and later to pay up.
I wouldn’t recommend Hitched to any small or new business. The service didn’t deliver, the contract was inflexible, and the experience has been unnecessarily stressful.

I advertise my business on Hitched. They have been helpful and supportive and I have been pleasantly surprised at the number of enquiries my Wedding Illustration business receives on a regular basis via them.

Hitched make their money promising wedding suppliers (who are always worried about how they’re going to pay their next months bills) the world and delivering nothing.
The “leads” are generic and honestly could come from anywhere, 99% of what you spend your previous time responding to will never even get seen much less responded to.
It’s a really disgusting way to treat wedding suppliers. What I’ve learnt having payed over £100 a month for nothing is that there is no magic fix so if you’re reading this, you’re better off sinking your money into an ad that’s going to get seen by more people and the right people. If the leads on hitched are real then these are certainly not the type of people you want to work with. The inability to take the time to find a supplier that you actually like but send a generic message to find the cheapest person is a huge red flag.
Hope this saves someone the heartache of watching your hard earned money leave your account for absolutely nothing.

SCAM ALERT
This company is a joke, avoid them completely unless youve lost your mind. They promise the earth and deliver nothing. The amount of negative reviews tell you everything you need to know so take note. I personally would have put zero if I could....
Message for Hitched: Stop saying your team will look into everything blah blah blah we both know thats a lie and all youre interested in is money for YOU...
Bots, fake leads, lots of BS from your sales team of con artists. I cant believe you are STILL getting away with this scam...
