HOBART GLASSWASHER

HOBART GLASSWASHER

On the 10th September 2022, Our glasswasher was showing the error code 065 so we got hold of our rep who'd instructed us to buy the machine through ecomax-catering. He suggested we got hold of Hobart via email and copy him in with photo evidence of the error code showing up on our machine (photo 1 is the original error code on 10/9/22).

After reporting the issue, we were told that they didn’t have any parts available for fixing our machine and that they struggling to get the part and couldn’t give us a date to when the part would arrive. On 7th November 2022 we received an email giving us a suggested eta of the end of November, beginning of December (photo 2 is the email confirming the eta).

After receiving this email, we didn’t try and contact Hobart until the 13th December 2022 via email, requesting for an update on the parts for our glasswasher as we hadn’t heard anything, and the eta of the parts had passed (please see photo 3 for the email we sent).

I never received a response from the email, however I received a phone call on 15th December 2022 telling me that an engineer was going to come to our site on the 16th December 2022 to fix our machine.

On the 16th December 2022, the engineer came and ‘fixed’ the glasswasher, however when we opened for service at 6:30pm on 16th December 2022, the machine instantly showed the same error code ‘065’. (Photo 4 is evidence of the error code back after the machine had apparently just been fixed). We also found a box with parts for the glasswasher just left in our premises. We immediately emailed hobart explaining that someone had been out but the error code was still showing and asked for information to what and why the box was left at our site (photo 5 is a screenshot of the email).

Again, we never received a response from Hobart so on the 9th January 2023 I rang them. I spoke to a lady who told me that they did receive my email and that it had been logged down, however they were struggling to get the parts again and couldn’t give me an eta. I asked why no one had gotten back to me via email or phone call. I then requested for an email confirming that someone had received my previous email and that it had been logged down to be fixed again and the lady confirmed, however I never received any email of confirmation.

On the 20th January 2023, we got a phone call from our supervisor telling us that an engineer had turned up to our site to see what part was broken/see what part the machine needs. The engineer apologised for the box of rubbish/parts being left at our site and removed them. The engineer took the machine apart and commented that, in his opinion, "these machines are useless". When the engineer left the site, he never told our supervisor or updated him with what was going on/needed to happen next, nether did the company, they haven’t yet contacted us to update us with what’s going on. Since the engineer has been and took the machine apart, there is a white plastic ring that constantly falls down from the roof of the glasswasher.

On Friday 3rd February 2022, after service, we turned our glasswasher onto hygiene and we noticed that it was massively leaking from the left side (see videos of the leak).
