Horrible company avoid

Horrible company. Now we did make a small error on our booking but HA refused to help at all leaving us stranded in a foreign country with no travel and no solution other than to charge us again. Terrible customer service, will never use them again. Even the rental company said they hadn’t been paid yet so the booking could easily have been moved.

Very poor customer service

I have had a poor experience with this company. I have tried to get in touch with their customer service team and was advised a response would be given in 67 hours. It has now been a week. I would not use this company again

Misleading Pricing

Holiday Autos didn't advise us of additional fees for taking our hire car out of the country, which increased the price by 50% at pickup. They also listed an incorrect pickup address and refused to share my basic contact information with the rental company, which delayed the process. We also received a car substantially worse than what we booked.

Absolutely shocking experience

Absolutely shocking experience. When arrived at desk we were charged in excess of €400 more than advertised. Customer service said they could do nothing. This is a scam company who steal money from its clients. Shocking in the day and age - totally disgusted by the whole thing

Do not trust this company

Do not trust this company. I booked a car using their service and also paid for additional money for their advertised insurance partner alliance. When I collected the vehicle from Europcar, they would not accept the insurance and insisted I used theirs at an additional $50 per day. I booked the car from Manchester Airport with Drop off at Lincoln Town - this was clear on the booking - there were no disclaimers in the small print. When I dropped the car off I was charged an additional fee for premium pick up at Manchester and a huge charge for dropping off at a different locations. Additional fees were $600. In total 4 days car hire went from less than $400 to +$1000 (small car). When I contacted Holiday Autos for assistance they basically say hard luck. Don't go near them. Would have give no stars but the system does not allow this

DO NOT USE IF AMEX

This company do not state anywhere that the companies they broker for do not take Amex credit cards! Beware of this, we are now €150 out of pocket because of this company. I would never use them again

reserved an automatic but gave me a manual

I had reserved an automatic car on Lanzarote and as I arrived to TopCar in lanzarote the company didn't have automatic car and gave me a manual car. worst then that I was charged fully for not being able to rent the car.
I called the Autoholidays, they said they can’t refund it to me.
They have robbed my money and don't care. I would say never to "rent" a car with this scam. The website is lying and tricks people. Never never use this company for ever.

This is a totally awful company

They contact with un reputable companies who try and rip you off at the pick up desk quoting ridiculous terms and conditions and then saying to “fix” the problem they will charge you €175

Really disappointing what they did to…

Really disappointing what they did to me. I could understand that they get their commission but putting all the money in their pocket I believe is unfair because they haven't done anything to make that money so they take the commission plus what was for the rental company,. I don't care what they wrote on a contract... still theft...a bunch of thugs

Was robbed by Holiday Auto

I had reserved a car on Aqaba and as I arrived to Avis in Aqaba the company didn't have any car available and worst than that I was charged fully for not being able to rent the car.

Now they are for more than a month analyzing to give my refund and doesn't seem that they will do anything.

They have robbed my money and don't care. I would say never to "rent" a car with this scam.

Holiday Autos are Sneaky.
I would recommend you to stay away from them. They cover themselves legally by adding costs on the terms and conditions and advertise cheap prices.
I completed my transaction online paying roughly £56, with a remaining of £23 left to pay at desk. The website says that the price includes the young driver charge with no indication that additional costs would be incurred.
Ofcourse naturally I accepted to the terms and conditions- which I did not read at the time unfortunately (lesson learnt), but it mentioned that extra charges are payable. I should have read the terms and conditions and advise everyone to do so. I had to pay an additional £136, which is significantly higher than the advertised price. The point of this is, this was sneaky and not advertised clearly. Therefore I advise customers to avoid them, although they may advertise low prices, I would recommend going through with the actual company like sixt, enterprise etc.

My experience with the company went…

My experience with the company went from great to the most appalling customer experience, few days ago I made reservations on a car with unlimited millage and paid insurance upon reserving the car, since my family and I were going to be travelling far, a day before pick date I received an email from Holidayauto saying the selected supply has informed them they were sold out on the vehicle I requested. However they have done their best to find alternative vehicle, with limited millage and more expensive compared to what I had reserved earlier. REALLY HOW PATHETIC ????!!! My suggestion to anyone wanting to try them out stay far away from them if you don't want last minute disappointments!

Bad customers service

I've rented a car in CDG airport via Holidayauto company. In the airport I got the car with manual transmission instead of auto transmission, as it was ordered and paid. At the end end of August I opened a service case at Holidayautos, but till now didn't get acceptable response from them. All I get is "wait, we are investigating". Unacceptable service!

Watch for hidden charges

Booked a car with budget at Munich Airport trough Holidayautos but no sign of extra charges till I opened the booking Voucher and they added 59 euro for winter tyres - I have since found out winter tyres are a legal requirement to validate all insurance in Germany and I absolutely resent the sly way this was not evident till the booking voucher was opened . We have an annual holiday in Munich at this time
Every year and have never been charged extra for winter tyres . PS , on a Saturday afternoon the queue was 2 hrs long to collect the car !!
