Fobbed off and lied to
I ordered a pair of speakers from homeavdirect's ebay shop last weekend, making use of a 20% voucher. Delivery was stated as being by-Wednesday, but it's now 4pm on Thursday and they still haven't even been dispatched.
It was vital I have them by Saturday, so chased them a couple of times, but just keep getting fobbed off and given more failed delivery days. They've now ceased responding altogether. I've had to order the speakers elsewhere now, on a guaranteed next day service, so will cancel the homeavdirect order, but it will cost me money, as I could have used the voucher elsewhere.
Overall, extremely disappointing, and I can only recommend avoiding them.

New Speaker/Amp Combo Purchase
I’ve had a reasonable set of speakers, bought some five years ago, that, along with a very good SMSL Digital Amplifier, served as a replacement for a very dodgy soundbar. Having recently got back into listening to music for pleasure, as opposed to just having music on as background for other activities, I felt that the speaker/amp combo could be much improved without too much expense.
Having undertaken a not inconsiderable amount of research, I was initially disappointed at the high costs of the equipment I was looking at. However, while looking around for a good deal, I came across Home AV Direct, which immediately ticked all the boxes: they’re relatively local to where I live, and they had a sale on with the gear that was on my list of possibles at a very, very reasonable price.
Bought the gear and, within the fullness of time, it was delivered.
Unfortunately, one of the speakers was broken—a rattly drive unit! After overcoming the initial episode of cursing the planet, I emailed HAV and let them know what was up. They responded very quickly (one working day) with an apology for the initial issue and an apology that they had sold out of the particular speaker. They had already ordered a replacement, however, which was already on the way.
The new unit duly arrived, and the courier also took the old, broken unit off my hands at the same time.
In summary, then, I bought some great gear at a great price, and it was delivered quickly. There was a problem, certainly not of HAV’s creation, that they subsequently resolved quickly and efficiently with very little fuss.

When issues arise, especially those beyond the supplier's control, what truly sets a business apart is the speed and efficiency with which it resolves the problem. This responsiveness demonstrates a commitment to customer satisfaction and builds trust, reinforcing the company's reputation for reliability and care. Fantastic service. Ordered just before 3pm yesterday and have just taken receipt from DPD this afternoon. The BOSE Sub 1 I bought was also the best price by far on Home AV Direct website so I will be sure to use them again in future. Very happy customer indeed!

I have placed half a dozen or so orders over the course of two or three years with this company.
The service I have received has been genuinely exemplary. Nothing is too much trouble and commitments are always met.
I offer an unreserved recommendation. If the item I require is available via Homeavdirect, I would not consider buying anywhere else.

What amazing customer service I received from Home AV Direct . My order, which arrived next day, had been unfortunately damaged in transit. I expected a lengthy process to get a replacement but Vee at customer support got back to me within 2 hours and informed me that another turntable had been ordered and this was delivered and the damaged unit collected within a week. I would have no hesitation in buying any other products from Home AV Direct in the future . Highly recommended and thank you again .

I have been blown away by the amazing customer service that homeavdirect provides. I bought a record player a while back, mainly due to the price offered. Usually when you buy from sites that are cheaper than others you don't expect too much in terms of customer service. I was very wrong. There was a tiny chip in the lid - instantly replaced. After a year the motor failed - fixed and returned to me. I am so incredibly happy with the ongoing support that homeavdirect has provided. My support for over a year has been down to Vee and I would love to thank them for how amazing their support has been! Thanks so much.
