Has this company gone bust / does it…

Has this company gone bust / does it exist still?
There is no chat facility on the website to speak to an advisor and you don't hear back from emails. You can also not take out policies any longer on the website? Whats going on? We thought being back by Admiral (a trusted UK brand) it was a safe insurance to take out but now I am wondering what has happened and can't get a response from them... I would recommend anyone avoids this company

This company has gone to the dogs

This company has gone to the dogs. Used them a few years ago no problem. This time, oh dear. Their 'direct debit' was actually just taking a card payment, and when my card expired I received no warning just random letters that my insurance would end and I owed... with no link to pay??! When they did send the link, it led to a bad gateway page! Three different times!! So I called them at 10h30 to receive a message 'the office is closed as we open at 9'. Ummm...??!! So yes ZERO confidence. Let's hope that I don't need them to actually reimburse anything. Going to cancel and find someone else.

Customer service is HORRIBLE

Customer service is HORRIBLE. I have been trying to contact someone. I emailed several times regarding cancellation and refund. No one answers emails and forget about calling. You aree lead on a wild goose chase through their call center and finally lead back to a message that says email Customer service. I just want my money back. I am Sorry that I ever bought into their services. If I do not hear from someone within the next two days I WILL consult legal representation.

User friendly with English translation

User friendly with English translation, flexible cancellation clause.
Cons : the quotation goes up the next day I visited the website with the same information. Luckily, I can retrieve the quotation before at a cheaper price.

voleurs, escrocs Thieves and Con men

Inscription et paiement faciles. MAIS si vous avez besoin de faire une réclamation, Hombrella disparaît. Le service clientèle est HORRIBLE et renvoie les clients à appeler les réclamations et les réclamations demandent au client d'envoyer un e-mail et ils ne répondent jamais Cette société est préoccupée par le paiement de votre politique. Les représentants de Hombrella sont une blague. Hombrella n'a jamais l'intention de converser sur une réclamation ou de payer sur une réclamation.

Easy Signup and payment. BUT if you need to make a claim Hombrella disappears. Customer service HORRIBLE and will refer clients to call claims and claims will ask client to send email and they never respond This company is concerned about your policy payment. Hombrella representatives are a joke. Hombrella never intends converse about a claim or to payout on a claim.

Charged late payment fee even though I have paid in time

My auto-payment failed and I paid the insurance premium manually afterwards. However, I still kept receiving reminders about a late payment, therefore I contacted their customer service through the online chat. I was told that my payment has been accepted and the reminders were sent by error. A few days later, I received a letter charging me a late payment fee, even though I have already paid the insurance premium.

Update: Despite the customer service repeatly ensured that it was an error in the system and the issue will be fixed, I just received an email saying that my contract is cancelled due to non-payment. This is ridiculous.

Get your home insurance elsewhere

Subscrubing is sure very easy, but getting anything done after is practically impossible!

I needed to do a claim and reported it immediately after the incident happened. It takes me multiple phone calls (where the response is either "we are handling the matter" or even "we cannot help you" depending on who answered), non-answered e-mails and chats to finally receive the simple answer that I need a quote from a repairman to get my claim processed.

Why was this not told on my first call? Why did I have to contact homebrella multiple times to get this answer is over my understanding. This added to the fact that in the phone calls their response was arrogantly toned and that the process is not transparent or professional has lost my trust to them.

They advertise that their advisors speak fluent English and that they are expact & student friendly. The English I faced was below average or even as one of them answered my question if they speak english: "non, pas du tout madame". By my experience it seems like they hide behind the young and "cool" appearance to take advantage of young or foreign renters who might not know better...

Really poor service. Avoid.

So far so good. Easy purchase experience and for someone just relocating to France it's a perfect choice. No need for a French bank account, payable online by card.

Excellent service for expats

Great service, easy to manage. The English version was really helpful for someone new to France. The same hoes for the option to pay via credit card, everywhere else I looked a French bank account was mandatory.
