I cannot give it zero stars

I cannot give it zero stars. Worst company around! Please save your money and get something better, we did and giving them money to not use them was the best financial decision I’ve made this year. It will cost you 400 bucks to send the router back and some people just cannot afford it. They basically claim to defer the cost of equipment as long as you use it. It’s definitely on the line of a scam. Please beware.

OMG- HORRIBLE COMPANY

OMG. AVOID at all cost !
They promote ALL carriers, not true. Verizon for one not accessible. They have NO SERVICE DEPT or phone #, wonder why? Avoid us the unsatisfied consumer. I sent my router (ha. this is mostly unusable in most of Texas) with pictures kept. They deducted $130 for minor scratches. A lie. AGAIN- no one to complain too. SHUT THIS COMPANY DOWN. Going to our AG offic next.

They should not be allowed to do what…

They should not be allowed to do what they do where I live we hardly have any kind of Internet so after hearing about home by, I thought I’d give it a try with the moneyback guarantee there is the first lie. me and my wife read some of the bad reviews some of the good reviews we took that with a grain of salt thinking he will give it a shot. It’s moneyback guarantee worst Internet I’ve ever had within minutes. We knew we did not want this. It was not worth the money and her moneyback guarantee is the biggest lie. We paid $100 to get the best router we could so hopefully get the best signal we could when it didn’t work we shipped it back after talking to a sales rep. They guarantee us in assured us we would be getting our money back within a matter of days two weeks later we did get a refund after paying over $100. We got $55 back I accept the fact that we would have to pay the shipping in Hanley that was $20 not sure how $55 covers $100 and $20 in shipping. We should at least got $80 back but we got $55 back and don’t even try to get in touch with them they make sure it is almost impossible to contact them and speak to someone. This is the worst company I have ever seen. Do not waste your time. Do not waste your money believe me when I say there are a lot better Internet services out there it don’t matter where you live. This is the worst and poor very poor customer service.

Horrible service

Horrible service. It's great until they get your money. Then it does not exist anymore. WAY overpriced 4G junk. Speeds "WHEN" worked were 2-6Mbps for $120+ a month.... No thanks. We eventually sent it back and continued for 3 months to get charged. And 0 customer service so they do not remedy it. They instead hide behind scripted emails. We finally switched. We got a company called Steadfast Communications GC. Game changer 30x the speeds, 1/3rd the bill. Do your research. But avoid HomeFi - TravlFi. Same company to try to split up pissed off customers.

Horrible company to do business with

Horrible company to do business with. Cannot get in touch with anyone.
I cancelled service months ago but they keep billing my card for random fees.
I bought the equipment for $150 and despite canceling it, I still had to send equipment back! Then they didn’t refund my $150! Instead they charged me another $25 restocking fee.
By my math, they owe me $125!
And their service was supposed to be $80 a month but they billed me $125 a month!!!!
Horrible company that will be reported to the BBB and state attorney general.

This has been the absolute worst piece…

This has been the absolute worst piece of technology I have ever owned
It doesn’t stay connected
When it actually does connect it’s barley passable and I’ve used it in multiple states
With the same subpar results
You have to constantly turn it off and back on
Customer service is non existent
Avoid completely
Also when you get ready to cancel I suggest you change your card number as they will billing you after the fact

My Experience with HomeFi Internet…

My Experience with HomeFi Internet Service - A Warning

I was a HomeFi customer for approximately six months, during which the service initially performed adequately. However, significant issues arose in February when my service was abruptly terminated within 30 seconds of my monthly payment being processed.

Upon contacting customer service (which proved to be a challenging process), I was informed that I needed to upgrade my service because an LTE router would supposedly work better in my "rural area." This explanation was particularly concerning given that I reside in Los Angeles, one of the largest metropolitan areas in the United States.

When I requested a refund for February's service charge, as I had received no service despite payment, the customer service representatives were unprofessional and dismissive, refusing to process the refund. Their response was inappropriate and demonstrated poor business practices.

Key issues encountered:

Immediate service termination after payment processing
Misleading technical explanations
Poor customer service response
Refusal to refund for undelivered services

This experience raises significant concerns about the company's business practices and customer service standards.

Unreliable and Dishonest

Unreliable and untrustworthy. I had my device (hotspot puck) for less than two weeks. It never got to high speeds as advertised. The download rate was 8mbps, upload topped out at 2.4mbps. When I brought this up to technical support they said “that’s average” because it’s not wired. First of all no it’s not, but even on their OWN WEBSITE they said average speeds are 20-35Mbps to download and 10-20Mbps to upload, this thing isn’t reaching even half of the lowest speeds they advertise. They also claim is has a 20 hour battery life when fully charged and unplugged. That is also a lie, if I unplug mine it dies immediately.

I asked for a refund because the device is defective and the speeds are not as advertised. They said I can send the device back but they refuse to refund me. I was fully willing to allow them to prorate for the 70.9gb I used out of the 800gb I paid for but they wanted to be greedy, So I’m having to dispute the charge with my bank and let them figure it out. No way I’m paying for false advertising and broken equipment.

Avoid this company

First of all, their "free trial" is a total scam. By the time they've finished deducting their hidden fees and excluding secretly non-refundable costs, you will have paid them $45 for *a week* of absolutely terrible internet service.
Secondly, they're just repackaging other companies' services at double the cost. I was sent a certain brand router, looked it up, and found that I could go directly to that other company and get the same exact service for almost half the price HomeFi was charging. Yes, I'd have to buy the device up front from that company, at the cost of about a year of "rental fees" charged by HomeFi. So if I had stuck with HomeFi for a year, I would have spent fully twice as much on internet service, plus paid them the price of the router, but they would still own the router and I'd have to continue paying to rent it.
Nothing about dealing with this company was pleasant, and their policies are blatantly sleazy. Avoid them.
