Do NOT use Home Run Fence and Deck
Do not use Home Run Fence & Deck for your fence. Please take the time to read this full review. We had Homerun Fence & Deck give us a quote for a 5' aluminum fence for a home we were about to move into. Andrew met us at the house we were about to close on & did some measurements. We have woods in our backyard where I explained we would like the fence to be. Rather than going into the woods & getting an accurate measurement, he made the decision to guess. On August 3rd Andrew's 'crew' showed up & they started. Andrew was not there for 90% of the install to oversee anything. Eventually, Andrew came to my door & said there was a problem. He had measured incorrectly & was short 2 or 3 panels of fencing. He asked if we could change where we wanted the fence, & I said no. We wanted it where we said we did originally. We also couldn't change it because HOA would have to be notified of any changes to what we submitted to them originally. He said OK, & that he would call around to see if he could find someone that had 2 or 3 panels. I texted to reiterate that we did NOT want to deviate away from the original plan of where the fence needed to be. He replied back with 'We are keeping it the same. Sorry for the confusion!'
I get back home & the fence is nowhere near where we agreed. Andrew made the decision to go against everything I told him, everything we wanted, & everything we agreed to originally. He said he was sorry & admitted he should have gotten into the woods to get a more accurate measurement. He then promised to 'make it right' and wanted to make sure 'we were happy'. So, we assumed Andrew would be fixing his mistake at his cost, since we paid for a job in full that was not done the way we agreed to. We only asked Andrew to finish the job & make it right. However, Andrew refused to fix his mistake or pay for any new materials that should have been there to begin with. Although he admitted to his mistake, he was not willing to fix it. He would only fix it if we paid for him to take up the fence and posts that were placed incorrectly on top of paying for labor and materials again. Andrew refused to do anything to help us.
We tried going through the BBB and the Attorney General, but Andrew still refused to do the right thing and refused to fix it. He ignored the AG altogether. We had to take him to small claims court and he has refused to pay what the court ordered him to.
Other things of note about the nightmare from Home Run Fence and Deck:
-They busted TWO pipes of our sprinkler system.
-There was trash & food everywhere throughout our yard left behind from his 'crew'. Chicken bones, bottles, caps, wrappers, limes, etc. We have dogs & they could have eaten these chicken bones that were scattered everywhere.
-They spilled a whole 40lb bag of concrete mix in our driveway & proceeded to broom half of it into our landscaping rocks, while just leaving the rest.
-There was concrete mix all over our backyard in random spots.
-Andrew's 'crew' placed 6 or 7 posts in the wrong location which were removed. They left big holes from the posts & did not fill them back in creating hazards for us walking.
-His 'crew' consisted of 7 guys. Not at any time were there more than 2 of the 7 actually working or doing something. Most of them sat around in the woods or on our back patio blaring music & playing on their phones.
-The communication with Andrew was AWFUL. We would ask questions & either never get a reply or he'd reply but never answer any questions we asked him. He always bounced around answering anything we asked. His communication skills are very poor.
