Established in 1992, Hopes Grove Nurseries are hedging plants specialists with a 125 acre nursery and over 1 million home grown plants situated in the Weald of Kent. Our skilled nursery staff have over 200 years of growing experience between them so our plants are given the best possible start.
We only sell our hedging plants to the end user (not to Garden Centres or other nurseries) so you can be assured of direct from the nursery pricing that you will find very hard to beat. We deliver nationwide with plants coming directly from their growing beds to guarantee they are fresh and top quality.

In a nutshell, it’s a way of proving that we will always do the right thing in preventing the spread of harmful plant pests and diseases. The Plant Healthy Management Standard is a voluntary initiative that sets out requirements for implementing effective plant biosecurity systems that can be adopted by horticultural businesses. Hopes Grove Nurseries chose to be part of the scheme earlier this year, after a lot of preparation we received our independent audit in October 2025 and passed with flying colours!

Just a shame order not delivered on the specified day. However all the plants were in excellent condition

Bare root not very good
I bought 30 blackthorn and when they were delivered I could see that only 10 were any good. I did everything right planting them that day of delivery. A few weeks later I could see that only 10 was any good so I reported it to you I sent pictures, then Sara said to do a scrap test which I did and gave it a bit longer unfortunately the 10 I said were good are going well but the other 20 are no better than the first day of delivery.

Never ordered from this nursery before and I was very impressed. Delivered quickly , efficiently , the plants were in fantastic condition , all the same size and they are looking fabulous now they are in the ground .Natasha who I made the order with was incredibly helpful and very professional, brilliant.

Poor customer support
Have ordered hedging from this company every year for twenty years. Have had the odd plant die in the past but this year nearly all the beech and yew have died. Sent photos but they refused to accept any responsibility because their T&Cs state that the dead plants must be photographed in the ground.I believe the plants were not delivered quickly enough after being dug up and sent. Customer loyalty didn’t count for anything in my case.
