WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE
I purchased a HORL3 on the 27th Nov 25 and at the second time of using a section of the rubber on the block came away,contacted customer service and was asked to return defective item which I promptly did and that was the last heard. I know item was received as have checked parcel tracking.
I am not the proud owner of half an expensive knife sharpener sat in the cupboard.

Absolutely HORL-ible experience
I waited almost a month for a replacement after I sent back a faulty product that broke after first use, and eventually I received the angled magnetic block only with no sharpener, I’m at a complete loss of words to describe the level of incompetence that led to this. Needless to say, I will never buy another product from this company so long as I breathe, and I will use every last breath to discourage anyone from parting with their hard earned money in exchange for anything this absolute joke of a company has to offer. AVOID AT ALL COST! Buy the knockoff version if you have to - I can guarantee that your experience can be any worse than what I’ve endured with this circus.

Having read a few reviews here I was worried that I would not get a resolution to a damaged on delivery problem. The dispatch and shipment of my Horl 3 order was extremely fast, but when I got the delivery DPD had 'repacked with care' (so it said on the tape on the box). This means that DPD take away all the careful packaging that Horl have designed and just throw the contents in a much bigger box. The result is the contents get so damaged you cannot use them. I contacted customer service via the Horl website and the next day they were in touch and dispatched a replacement and provided a prepaid label to return the damaged shipment. Couldn't ask better customer service.

I got my sharpner. I did message them before they dispatched, as I realised I wanted to make an upgrade and would happily pay the difference.
They ignored my email and dispatched, I've waited patiently for over two weeks for a response and not one single response...
Seems like a nice product, but absolutely awful and dreadful after care service. Horl, if you are reading, service like this will be the demise of your business, people will not want to spend over £100 on a knife sharpner, with no aftercare service.
Very disappointed with the lack of communication and to see the consistency of that in your very negative reviews.
Appalling, non-existent service
Unlike others, I did receive my Horl within 4 days of ordering. However, the magnet I received is peeling after one use and customer services have completely ignored my emails. I did receive an auto-response saying due to unprecedented emails blah blah blah. So I’m stuck with something that is defective and no way of getting a replacement. Looks as if all the budget went on their glossy webpage without any thought of supporting their customers and replacing defective goods. Avoid.
Poor customer service
I ordered a horl cruise 3 at the start of January. After I received an email saying I will receive the product in 12-14 days. It's been 22 and I've only just today got an invoice for the product. I've sent 3 emails, messaged them on Facebook and Facebook messenger to which I have not had a reply from the team. I just want to know how long it will be until I get the product. It's been quite disappointing.

Product ordered December 8, now January 2, sharpener never delivered. Repeated emails for refund all ignored. Worse customer service imaginable.
Incredibly poor customer 'service'
Incredibly poor customer 'service'. Ordered well within their cut off for delivery before Christmas - and 'in stock'. (Would have chosen a different one - but it was out of stock). Heard nothing. Until I chased them. Then said "unforeseen delays" won't be with you before Christmas, thank you for understanding. Well, I didn't, and cancelled. Refunded - but not even the courtesy of an email to say they had. And certainly no apology. Such a shame - could have easily been recovered.
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. They’re selling products that are blatantly out of stock and saying they’ll arrive before Christmas when they won’t. Ordered in plenty of time. No solutions or easy offer of a refund. They’re saying it was unforeseen delays but they’re still selling other products that can be delivered before Christmas. They wanted me to buy their product from another retailer then wait for the one I ordered to show up to then send it back for a refund when it hadn’t even been shipped rather than offering a refund to start off with!!
POOR PRODUCT WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE
Buy a copy from the Internet as the customer service is DIABOLICAL! We bought one (foolishly) for £150+, had it 5 months, were a normal household probably use it once a week and now it's barely sharpening. Contacted their so called customer service send me a picture they said and not heard a peep. Company's complain about their products being copied. Some companies deserve it! DONT WAST YOUR MONEY
Excellent when used with 3000/6000 whetstone and strop
Knives used:- 6 Global knives and 4 cheap everyday knives.
I have the Horl 2 sharpener and have also bought the 3000/6000 whetstone and leather strop.
At first, with the standard Horl 2 diamond disc and honing disc I was a tad disappointed as I had high expectations of razor sharp blades. Sadly this wasn’t the case. Don’t get me wrong, there was an improvement but not impressively sharp. It wasn’t until I took the plunge and purchased the 3000/6000 whetstone and leather strop did it really come into its own. Wow, my blades are now ridiculously sharp!! Like, stupidly sharp… so if you’re going to buy one of these, I highly recommend buying the additional discs and strop.
Also, when it comes to resharpening, it’s rapid. I’ve done all 10 of my knives in less than 30 mins. That’s pretty quick really.
I’m chuffed with the Horl 2, but as I say, only when used with the extra discs and strop.

Works very well, although takes time to get the blade angle if knife has already got a bad edge. Once sharpened it's very quick and easy to maintain a sharp edge. Been using it for 7 months without any problems.
Buyer beware
Bought and paid for my sharpener exactly 1 week today, tracking details show that Evri are still expecting my item leading me to believe it hasn’t even left the Horl distribution point. I emailed Horl who advised I needed to wait another 5 days then contact them again, I requested they chase with the courier but they said they can’t, I asked to cancel my order and provide a full refund they said they can’t cos it’s in transit but according to the courier details it isn’t.

May be an excellent sharpener if they could sort out delivery. For some reason they think it's a good idea to ship their very expensive knife sharpener with the worst courier EVRI. 2 failed deliveries and still no sign of it. I will be raising a dispute with my bank as still no refund received.

I contacted the company to ask if I was doing something wrong etc and they weren’t any help at all really they just repeated what was in their website.
