This is a scam

This is a scam. You believe that you are dealing with a hotel directly , once you make a reservation, they'llask for a refundable deposit, once they charge tour card, it becomes non refundable as they are not associated with anyone. BEWARE!!!!

Absolutely horrible

Absolutely horrible. They seem to have intercepted my reservation for a hotel, then charged me the full amount for having had to cancel it. I couldn't get AMEX to help either. A nightmare. Avoid at all cost. When I tried to reach out, they were unlisted, no working phone, a complete scam. ALSO how come it says 3 stars? No on has given it more than one star.

Be carful with this company

HotelReservation.com Complaint
Be careful who you are booking your hotel reservations through...

This is my 2nd run-in with this crappy company. They are nothing but a liason between you & the hotel & charge $30 for this [lack of] "service". Their rates are not even that much better than what the actual hotel charges. You have to check a box stating that you have read the terms/conditions, where there is no mention of the $30 charge).

My receipt actually mentioned the $30 charge & says & I quote, "If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.

So I Google search the name of the hotel & find a link to make reservations. I click on the link, which is created to look like the hotel's site, but it is not. There is also no place where they make you aware of the $30 until the end in the confirmation email that advises you can get money back is reservation is cancelled 2 days prior to reservation.

When I email hotelreservation.com a man named ****** advises me the following: "This is a separate fee to the reservation total which covers the costs incurred by Hotelreservation.com in servicing your travel reservation and is non-refundable unless the cancellation is due to a fault of hotelreservation.com. This is also clearly stated on our website."

Please do not hesitate to contact us should you require further assistance.

Warmest regards,
