This agent left us high and dry

This agent left us high and dry. Having booked our stay with Hotelsclick we arrived at the hotel to be told be reception that our booking had been been cancelled. After showing the hotel our confirmation and proof of payment it transpired that hotels click had made the booking, taken our payment but were then unable to obtain the price with the hotel. They then cancelled the booking with the hotel but did not tell us. When we telephoned them they offered us no assistance in getting another hotel and simply said we could have a 5% discount on our next booking. This is the second time we have had a problem with them, although the first was not as bad as this. We will never use this agent again.

The response from Hotelsclick is untrue as I have a copy of the email confirmation sent to me on the 15th February. No cancellation email was sent by them. I can prove this, as my email service provider has shown me the full email logs for this period and no email was ever sent or received.

We kindly inform you the offer you booked was an On Request one. This means that we sold all our allocations but a booking request could be sent to the hotel to verfiy the possibility to confirm another room at the price listed in our website. Unfortunately the reservation was declined due to a lack of availability.

Please note that a confirmation e-mail has never been sent to you and as the amount was already released back to the credit card used, we could not book any other option.

Even if they replied to me here

Even if they replied to me here, the reply is a lie. They asked me my documents to complete the booking. My documents were correct, ID and credit card used under my name. Than after receiving the documents they proceed charging my credit card (and not before). After charging my credit card i didn't have any other information from them. If i go to the booking details it still says "waiting confirmation"... no money back until now. My question is: if, as they say, my documents were not correct, what's the point of the day after they decide do charge my credit card?? Why was that?

It is also very sad to know that your booking was canceled (and the reason why), in trustpilot... not even a single email from them.

Until further notice NO REFUND WAS MADE, and no hotel booking (wich is for tomorrow!).

Stay away form this website.

We kindly inform you that when the charge or the refund is reflecting on your credit card statement is based on bank timing and does not depend on HotelsClick.com.
As per conversation with the customer service department the refund has been made when the booking was invalidated.

Run away!

I don't understand the meaning of this website. I booked a hotel 2 days ago, they sent me an email asking my id and credit card picture. I did it 10 minutes after. They stop replying... today they charged my card so i called the costumer service and she said: oh your booking is canceled! Why? I don't have that information sir...
If my booking was canceled, and i still dont know why, why this morning you decide to charge my card? And why i didnt recieve any cancelation by email? I have to call to know if it is canceled?

Now i dont have the money and not the hotel, and my trip is in 2 days! Run away from this guys...

Please note that the verification e-mail is sent randomly, to ensure to all the parties involved a secure experience with the booking online.

We kindly inform you that, according to our operative department, the documents provided were not sufficient to unblock the reservation, that is why the booking request was invalidated as explained by phone.
As all our reservations are prepaid, the amount is obviously charged in full at the time of the booking procedure, but we would like to point out the payment was immediately deleted as soon as the booking was cancelled.

Phone Customer service is terrible

Customer service is terrible , I called the number in Italy to ask why my reservation was canceled and the lady was very unpleasant and didn’t give me an explanation how to fix the problem .

Paid and booked the hotel, yet to be canceled.

Coming from work, looking for hotels and comparing sites, I finally landed on HotelsClick.com.
I booked my accommodation and paid for it, sorted my information out on my account page on the site, downloaded the app etc etc..
Still no e-mail regarding my "confirmation". So I went to sleep and went to work, came back home to find out that the so called "12 hours to send a confirmation since the booking" has passed. Well guess what, nobody carries around their passport when walking around, neither do I.
So I sent photos of my passport and visa card anyways, with the explanation that I possibly couldn't reply with the information that was given within the timeline.
The reply I got was "sorry unfortunately the time has passed".

Also I should not forget to add this!
THE E-MAIL I WAS SUPPOSED TO REPLY TO WAS SENT TO ME 2 HOURS AND 45 MINUTES AFTER I PAID FOR MY BOOKING!
Its ridiculous that I even get that e-mail that late in the first place, should have got it instantly. If you had given me those 3 hours = 15 hours instead of 12, you'd had a customer by now, but now you've lost a customer and somebody else (TravelRepublic) has gained a customer.
Due to your own fault and lack of service.

Hotelsclick- questionable company!

So..... booked a hotel through trivago for Hotelsclick.com at 9:15pm. Confirmed details through activation email and showed as processing. Next Morning whilst at work, I check my emails to find one sent at 11pm from Hotelsclick asking for me to send a picture of my passport & card used to book. It was a random security check. Still, I felt very uneasy sending pictures and have never had to with Expedia or booking.com. I tried to call but after holding, the line went quiet like someone had picked up but wasn’t speaking. Used their online chat and after giving the reference number, I’m told that I left it too long so my reservation has been cancelled. Re-checking the email, it states I only had 12 hours in order to do as they requested. This went from my booking the hotel not when they actually asked for ID as my online chat was at 10:45 am. Unsurprisingly to many, I was asleep at 11pm when the email came through. Just pleased that they’ve cancelled so I can use a trustworthy company instead.

HotelsClick offered better prices and excellent service.

HotelsClick offered a better price than other websites for the same hotel. While I was nervous that they could not confirm a bed type for the reservation, they conveyed the request to the hotel and I received my request. Well done, HotelsClick. Thank you.

Never use this website to book a hotel..They are shady

Never use this website to book a hotel.. it's a scam.. I booked a room through them to stay in San Francisco when I book it the room said it was a double room.. meaning two beds when I called inquirying about thw voucher for breakfast I received they told me I booked a room for two people sleeping in one bed. That double meant two people not two beds. I asked the rep if they could change my room for a double bed and she said there were no more rooms with two beds available when their website was showing it available and I contacted the hotel directly and they did in fact had 2 beds rooms available. I REQUESTEd to cancel my existing reservation so I can book a new one with two beds through the website and they said I couldn't cancel the reservation.. this was 10 days before the day of check in.. I never went to the hotel and now they are charging me for the full 3 nights. Please do yourself a favor and never use this website. It's a scam.

We would like to remind you that you booked a double room under non refundable condition, indeed the cancellation deadline was clearly stated as prior to the creation date at the time of the booking.
For this reason, in case of cancellation we are not able to proceed with any refund.

As per our terms and conditions "double room" means one room with 1 matrimonial bed for 2 people, if you wished to have 2 beds you would had to book a "twin room".

For any doubt or question please don't hesitate to contact our customer care department before finalize the booking.

Compromised sensitive data

Even though I provided a credit card for this company, to book a hotel in Mexico, and they charged me immediately - they refused to confirm my booking with them unless I sent them photos of my credit card and government ID (driver's license or passport) through unsecured email. FORGET that! Now they have $2000 of mine and say it may take up to a month to get reimbursed - very bad business practices at work here.

AVOID THIS COMPANY COMPLETELY unless you are OK with sensitive data being compromised.

Please note that the verification procedure, is necessary for the new guests, when the payment system is detecting a transaction as possible high risk.

We would like to remind you that you asked for the cancellation of the booking request, as you did not want to send the required documentation to unblock the reservation.

For this reason, the refund from our side has been processed on the same day the transaction was made, but it is up to the bank when the amount can be visible again to the credit card used to purchase the service.
This delay is normally between 3-7 business days but it could be longer, sometimes as long as a full billing cycle, but not 1 month.

Pleasantly Surprised

I booked a room on HotelsClick and was concerned as I had not heard of them previously.
Booking process was very user friendly. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I cancelled online and expected to be re-reimbursed after +- 15 working days. To my surprise the credit was received 3 days after cancellation.

Scammers and Thieves that's what HOTELCLICK should be named

I was trying to book a hotel to Siesta Keys for my anniversary weekend and TripAdvisor was showing a good deal, at least I thought it was until it turned out to be my worst nightmare. I was redirected to this site called hotelclick.com and as soon as I realized I was being redirected somewhere else that I know nothing about I hit cancel but guess what they already took all my information and not only did they book the hotel they chose their own date (wrong date). I clicked cancel again not even 30 seconds after I realize what a mess I was getting into and you know they sent me an email saying I will be charged a cancellation fee of $10. As of today I am still out $21.26, the price I agreed to was $158.25 they decide to charge me international fee I'm in the USA I was trying to make a purchase in the US at no point did I agree to making international purchase. So I was charged a total of $163.00 which I never agreed to and again I am short $21.26 after fighting with the bank about this problem. Stay away from scammers like this. If you have money to throw away fine but every dollar counts for me cause I work hard for my money. I think the good reviews here are done by their employee they pay them with the money the scam from people to write good review to make themselves look good. Be careful people and be smart.
