I recently hired Housekeeping WA for a deep clean of my home, and I couldn't be happier with the results. As a family-run business, they brought a level of personal care and attention to detail that you don't always find with larger companies.

The 1 star google reviews on this company are true

The 1 star reviews on this company are warranted. Their average only looks high due to the copious 5 star reviews garnered by their foreign cleaning staff and extended families (easy to tell by their names - they are not clients). If Catherine spent as much energy giving decent service to her clients, she wouldn't need to counteract so many poor reviews. I spent many thousands of dollars over many months with this business and was treated appallingly at the end, to the point I needed to seek a refund of $2000 worth of prepaid services. Red flags were apparent from early into our contract when only 1 of their cleaners efforts was passable and we had to seek support from other places to fulfil all our jobs. Then our prepaid hours were not being counted correctly, in Housekeeping WAs favour, which I mentioned to the cleaner who warned me to watch out for that as other clients had told her the same. Catherine had slow responses, was not available on Sundays even when we had a no show, made incorrect bookings causing her cleaner to come when we hadnt asked them to, and generally lacked communication skills so that even our confirmation messages were confusing. Eventually we replaced all their bookings with a freelance cleaner we found on fb. But we put up with all of this, giving them still some overflow work as we still had prepaid credits to use (otherwise we would have just topped. We were actually feeling sorry for her one okay cleaner, until she brought her mother in to "help her" for a regular solo job that always took 4 hours in the past, and the business charged us for 9 hours. My husband had arrived to find them standing around doing nothing and asked them to just finish as he didnt have time to waste and he was accused of shouting at them, which is extremely out of character for him, and he denies. Catherine then insisted we were to pay for the unauthorised unrequested 2nd cleaners hours, even after we sent security camera footage showing that there was not 9 hours worth of cleaning done - I could post these here , they are extremely damning. I may do, so its not her word against mine and any potential or current client can see the "work" they'd pay for with this company. Eventually Catherine did issue a refund to my satisfaction, but in a very rude manner and it took a month to receive, all the while I was fairly stressed it wasnt going to come. I am sure I will receive a vicious response that both attacks me and dodges all responsibility, just as others have (go and have a read). Housekeeping WA makes me wary of any "Family Owned Business"... perhaps we are safer with larger companies where professional accountability exists.
