I ordered a pre-stitched saree
I ordered a pre-stitched saree. It’s terrible. Made hooks to jacket piece on saree rather than saree itself so it doesn’t hold not hold but looks bulky. Only three pleats are stitched at top which to not hold to the bottom. Looks terrible and makes palu too long. I paid American dollars and it’s a serious waste of money. Looks nothing like the picture.

Update (7/30/26):
Anshul from House of Indya reached out and worked with me to get back the money I paid to customize. He was very helpful and I got my refund pretty quickly. He is the reason I am changing the rating, as I didn’t have much of an issue with customer service as some others have had. However, the order was still messed up and I still had to pay extra to fix the blouse, so I will keep the original review up.
7/25/26:
I ordered a lehenga and paid extra for customization. The item was delivered on time however I did not receive any of the customizations I had paid for. I specifically asked for lehenga tassels, padded blouse, a reusable bag. I also paid for the blouse to be custom stitched to my size. Instead it looked like someone just cut out the general idea of a what a blouse looks like and stitched it together without even looking at the measurements I sent them. On top of that there were all sorts of loose threads and extra fabric on the blouse and lehenga. I realize I won’t get the entire cost refunded, but now I am spending an extra $60 to get the blouse fitted to my size and get rid of the extra fabric. This price does not include the other custom things I asked for.
If I could give this zero stars I would. Given all the negative reviews on this site regarding their lack of customer service I doubt I’m going to get any refunds or even a response from them which is why I’m leaving this review here to prevent other people from making the same mistake as me.
