I bought a kitchen from this company, and there are many problems. When I called the company, they didn't resolve the issues for me, didn't take responsibility, and didn't address their mistakes either. And the company sells very expensive items.

Such a poor experience here, basically felt like I was begging them to take my money but eventually have walked away. From first contacting for a design appointment, it took multiple queries to finally get one booked in. The appointment itself was fine, however we had to chase for the quote and design, on which we found it was completely different to what we discussed and our designer had left. We then asked if we could be passed to another designer and chased three times to follow up and heard nothing back. Dismal experience and I would recommend steering clear.

Howdens Dulwich were a pleasure to work with. Rushna was extremely helpful, and accommodating. She helped us make the most efficient use of the space we have. It was particularly complex as we had to design the kitchen before a wall had been removed. We combined the kitchen with some of our own materials and oiled ply wood, and it all looks great. I highly recommend Rushna and the Howdens team.

Extremely impressed with Howdens products and service! Having not done a kitchen project before, Rushna gave us amazing advice but still made sure the kitchen reflected our needs and style. Someone was always happy to help with any questions and Eddi was very helpful also.
An item was damaged from the order but to no fault of the staff, who replaces it very quickly.
I have already started recommending Howdens to people so I will continue to do in the future.

I purchased a kitchen from the Howdens Dulwich in September 2023 for delivery early October 2023. Dealing with this branch has been my worse retail experience ever. They did not offer me a planning meeting from the outset, which if they did may have negated some of the issues experienced.
Howdens did not order the appliance models that I requested and then denied receiving details of the model numbers. They took it upon themselves to ordered items from the brand I requested without first checking with me that the models were suitable. The models received were a lower specification and were far from acceptable. Howdens refused to offer a refund. They would not agree for the items to be returned, eventhough the appliances remained unused, and it was Howdens Dulwich that were at fault. They chose models for installing in my kitchen without first consulting me.
My trade person provided evidence that the model numbers were sent to one of the two people working there who have the same first name Tom. They conveniently hide behind having two people with the same name Tom to frustrate identifying who dealt with my mishandled requests.
Howdens Dulwich also provided a draw box that is not compatible with the drawer unit provided but insisted that the issues were the fitters fault and directing us to the user manual. I had to call a surveyor from the Sydenham branch who confirmed the drawer unit and drawer box supplied were not compatible. The surveyor said he would raise it with the manager at the Dulwich store but that was the last that I heard about this visit.
I am convinced that Tom knew that they were incompatible, as I sent him photos. He made no attempt to visit to assist in resolving the issue even though I raised it with him multiple times.
The above is not even the full details of the horrors experienced dealing with Dulwich branch. The lack of customer service received was so appalling, it is almost unbelievable. Not to mention the multiple missing parts from the first delivery.
Despite my efforts, I was unsuccessful in my numerous contact with Howdens Dulwich trying to get them to agree to a refund for the appliances and unfunctional drawers.
As a last resort I challenged the sale made with Howdens Dulwich using the Sales of Goods Act and received a chargeback from my credit card.
Howdens Dulwich had the opportunity to challenge the chargeback but knew they were at fault. I had a clear cut case of missold goods.
I understand Howdens are now trying to reclaim their loss from my trades person who is the account holder via debt collector. I know this as I was copied into an email that Rebecca Robinson, Bad Debt Litigator had sent to my trade person advising that she contacted Dulwich depot about this matter and they advise the monies is owed. They refuse to take any accountability for their errors and extremely poor customer service. I would not recommend anyone to the Dulwich Branch.
