Had a really amazing experience with the Hariom Yoga Vidya school, Rishikesh. I’ve completed the 200 hrs teachers training course and without any doubt I can suggest it to anyone who's asks me about it. The teachers are deeply knowledgable and felt amazing to get trained under them.

Dear all, I’ve experienced my Yoga Teacher Training Course at the Hari Om Yoga Vidya School. No regrets at all ! I’ve gained more inner peace and wisdom which I’ll be forever THANKFUL for ! I enjoyed every moments I spent there. Time went so fast that I needed to go back to work and back to normal life, but I’ll come back to RISHIKESH to continue and complete my Yoga training journey for sure ! I admire Pramod Sahoo (The head teacher) and his wife Sona a lot, and so grateful for them and their love and caring souls. I appreciate all the teachers and their skillful teaching. They really know what they teach. I enjoyed every classes (Hatha Yoga, Kundalini, Pranayama & Meditation, Alignment & Adjustment, Philosophy, and Ashtanga Yoga). That’s such a life changing experience ! Shout out to the reception and their warm welcome. If you're considering Hari Om Yoga Vidya School in Rishikesh, STOP and read my experience at their 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training (Sept 2024). What is being advertised as the Best Yoga School turned out to be an unprofessional & deceitful nightmare.

1. Lies, Lies, and More Lies
Hari Om advertises stunning photos of a serene yoga studio, but those pictures belong to an old location. In Sept 2024, Hari Om was operating out of a filthy 1-star motel called ONS Hotel. The head teacher, Pramod Sahoo, blatantly lied to me and my cohort and claimed the ONS Hotel had always been their "main base" and the old premises was a "temporary location." I believe they are currently operating out of another "temporary location" hence you will really never know what location you will get!

2. Deplorable Conditions
The accommodation at ONS Hotel was nothing short of horrifying:
- Rooms crawling with bed bugs, cockroaches, mold, and termites (yes, all of them).
- Dirty premises surrounded by noisy construction.
- A dingy basement where we used to do jal neti which is meant to be a cleansing practice.

The environment was the opposite of “comfortable” and “clean,” as falsely advertised.

3. Fake Reviews and Shady Practices
Hari Om's glowing online reviews are suspicious. I have evidence of how they posted old (but positive) Google reviews and changed the dates on Instagram to make it seem like it was recent. I also know they did not conduct any retreats in October, hence the 5 star reviews of those "retreats" are highly questionable.

4. Health & Safety Hazards
- The premises was infested with mosquitos and a breeding ground for dengue and malaria.
- There were strangers allowed into ONS Hotel and construction workers sometimes breached the premises posing a clear safety risk for our all-female cohort.
- Pramod did nothing to address these dangers, showing complete disregard for our well-being.

Final Thoughts
Hari Om Yoga Vidya School is a masterclass in deception and mismanagement. They preach the principles of yoga but fail to embody them in practice. Pramod is a dishonest individual who prioritises profit over student safety and satisfaction.

The teachers are good but they also teach in other schools so I would highly recommend to you not to waste your time, money, or health if you are considering Hari Om Yoga Vidya School. Look elsewhere for a yoga school that truly honors the values of the practice.

I completed 200 Hours RYTT & my husband did a Retreat at Hariomvidya school. No words can describe how much I loved the school. My husband and son joined and share these sentiments. The teachers are committed. The staffs so kind and nice. Pramod and Sona loved our son a lot. So thankful to be at school. We will return for 300H soon.

Within one month we were able to have a solid foundation of yoga— theoretically aka philosophy, anatomy, kundalini (a bonus), and practically such as traditional ashtanga and hatha as well as pranayama. We learned proper technique and alignment, as well as had sessions teaching our class. I would highly recommend this to anyone who would like a holistic approach to learning yoga— both as a practical and spiritual way of life. Directors and staff were so accommodating and sweet, rooms were cozy, clean, and we had full meals and trips or excursions outside. I felt very welcomed in my one month in Rishikesh and felt like I had learned everything I needed to move onto my next step.

I had the best week here in Hariom Yoga Vidya School in Rishikesh. I learned a lot about the yogic life and philosophy, and also improved my skills at practicing Asanas with the best teacher. But beyond all of this, I met a really good people, professional teachers, and a new way of life. Thank you!

I'm from Sydney, Australia. I had a very positive spiritual experience while staying at Hariom Yoga Vidya School in Rishikesh. I did 200 hours Yoga Training in April 2023 and it was a life changing experience for me. The yoga teaching staff were excellent in their training and brought out the best in me. They made sure that all precautions were taken while doing yoga and there was not even one instance of anyone developing sprains or any injuries during the practice. The teachers were very encouraging at every step and are some of the best people I have ever met in my life.
I finished my training feeling very fit; mind refreshed and ready to take my first step forward in becoming a yoga trainer. The room was very pleasant and the food delicious. I met a lot of like minded people and made friends with my fellow students. The 200 hour yoga teacher training course is highly recommended for anyone who wants to first train themselves fully and start their career as a yoga teacher. All the best!

I recently attended 10 days yoga retreat at Hariom Yoga Vidya School Rishikesh, India. It was a perfect combination of yoga classes, excursions, satvic food and stay. Property has a beautiful garden that makes the experience even more peaceful.
On the top of that I got to meet such a great group of people who were yoga enthusiasts came from different parts of the world. Which broadens one’s perspective about life.

What I observed is that, the teachers here are very experienced and have deep knowledge about the ancient science of yoga.

YTTC here includes Asana sessions, alignment, anatomy, meditation, and philosophy. Courses are well structured whereas in retreat, schedules are a bit flexible.

Staff is quite polite and accommodating. Makes you feel at home.
I highly recommend this yoga school in Rishikesh, and will come back to complete my YTTC as well.

Teachers have extensive training and knowledge. The theoretical and practical aspects of subjects like alignment, philosophy, and anatomy particularly appealed to me.

Everything was excellent, including the lodging, cuisine, and surroundings. The staff is incredibly helpful and supportive.

I just finished the 100YTT course and I am extremely grateful for being able to go through this experience at the Hari Om Yoga Vidya School. The place feels like home and everyone is so generous. I had only positive experience with the school - the staff was so caring, the food was incredible, the rooms and the school spaces were beautiful and neat. I loved all the wonderful teachers and subjects and the journey was truly transformative! I'm excited to come back one day!

Such an amazing experience, mere words can’t even begin to describe the essence of Rishikesh and the Hariom Yoga Vidya School!

Everyone everywhere is so welcoming, loving and hospitable, to the point that they almost immediately make you feel right at home, away from home.
It was definitely tougher leaving here than going back home because I ended up leaving a lot of new family and friends behind. But with me I’m taking many special core memories that I’ll treasure for years to come!!

The rooms were cozy and had a nice view of the garden and mountains!

We’ve been on wonderful excursions to the Chandrabadni Temple Tehri Garhwal which was located high in the mountains above the clouds and had a breathtaking view of Himalayas! There was also an excursion to the beautiful Devprayag - where Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers meet and take the name Ganga!! Definitely a view to be awed.

The food is excellent!! Very healthy and very tasty. We’ve been blessed to have some of the best cooks in Rishikesh!

Now let’s get to the core of it, how are the classes?! Awesome! It’s a multi-style yoga course that gives you solid foundations in Hatha, Kundalini and Ashtanga Yoga styles. Along with this you learn Pranayama/Meditation, Philosophy, and Anatomy! It’s a full packaged course with a vast amount of wisdom with excellent and attentive teachers that are more than willing to help you on your path of self discovery!
If you’re thinking about joining the course, do it!! It’ll definitely be one of the best decisions you’ve every made in your life! It’s an experience of a life time and you’ll make friends that will become your family for life! I wish you nothing but the best and success Hari Om Ji! 🙏🏽

I have just completed the amazing 200hr YTT at Hari Om Yoga school. What a wonderfully intense experience! The course is very comprehensive and challenging you literally eat, sleep, meditate yoga for 6 days of the week. It covers everything from philosophy to pranayama, meditation, to ashtanga vinyasa and Hatha yoga. The teachers are good and Pramood and his wife ( the director of the school) are very kind and welcoming. The media crew Prince and Nitesh are friendly and do a wonderful job. Food was good, if a little monotonous and too many carbs for me, would be good to have a bit more protein. Rooms are clean, big and very adequate.The only real improvement I can suggest would be to start the teaching and sequence building a little earlier so that the students become accustomed to it sooner rather than the stress all piled into the last week. Other than that I highly recommend Hari Om yoga school, when you are embarking on this experience it opens you up and you need to be surrounded by good and caring people, and all the people that manage Hari Om are certainly that. All in all an amazing experience, dream fulfilled and would do it all again in a heartbeat. Thank you Pramood and all at Hari Om Vidya 🙏🏻 namaste and Hari Omji ❤️

The course was totally amazing from every point of view. The staff, the place, the food and the teachers were incredible. I enjoyed and learned a lot every day that I spend in the school. This experience will be forever in my heart. More than a school, is a family.

Hariom Vidya yoga school was really great! I am very happy with my choice to come to this school. There was a great diversity in classes and teachers. Everyone was very involved and passionate and willing to answer questions.
It really felt like I was part of a family and community. I made amazing friends and was part of a very supportive group. Pramood and his wife curated a lovely environment and everyone in the staff are very kind and willing to help.
The rooms were amazing, lots of room and private balcony. Nice and clean. The garden is absolutely beautiful with lots of flowers, and gets a lot of afternoon sun. It is not uncommon to see lots of monkeys, birds, and bees.
The schedule is full and busy, but there is a lot to learn in a short month and I think it was wonderfully organized. We had fun excursions and had the freedom to do what we wanted on days off. Not so much time to go out on class days, but there’s no real need as the food we are served is made with love and is delicious. There are little cafes near the school if anyone wants some sweets or tea, or simply to change the atmosphere a bit.
I know that this is not exactly a budget school, there are other less expensive ones. But I think this one was worth every penny because of the holistic experience. You get more for your money.
All in all, I am very satisfied with the training and I had a really wonderful month despite the intensity. It is important to listen to your body and the teachers will push your boundaries but if you set your limit, they will not surpass them. So make sure to always listen to yourself.
I would 100% recommend this school. They will always be there for you and make sure you feel at home.

I attended the 200hrs teachers training at the Hari Om Yoga Vidya School. The schedule of the training was very well though through, therefore both beginners and advanced practitioners could catch up. The rooms were very clean and neaty. Everybody was lovely. Doing the teachers training here was an amazing experience i will never forget! Thank You!!!

The hotel and the campus is great. The school offers a nice beginner’s course. Also the people that work in the school, in the hotel and the teachers are open hearted people committed to their work.

My experience with Hari Om Yoga Vedia school has been very positive. They have made us feel at home and support us in any need beyond the yoga course. The environment and atmosphere are superb. The teachers are very knowledgeable and the organization of the course very professional. I never thought that my practice could improve that much in just one month! If you are looking for a yoga school in Rishikesh, here you have one that you can trust.

My experiences about my Yoga Retreat in Rishikesh:
I did my one Week Yoga Retreat at Hariom Yoga Vidya School in Rishikesh in August 2022. I'm so happy to have choosen this Yoga School, because it was like a Family to me. I joined all the classes for the Yoga Teacher Training which was in addition to the Yoga practice really informative for me. I was also taking part at the fire ceremony in the beginning what was such a great experience for me. All the people working in this school are so friendly and caring, I really miss them already!

At the beginning I was a bit scared to travel to India alone. In retrospect, however, I have to say that I had absolutely no reason to. I felt very comfortable and they were constantly making sure that we were doing well. The food on site was always really good and prepared with love. I came from Brazil to Rishikesh and I had the most amazing experience at Hariom school. People are so welcoming and helpful. I felt part of the family. The environment is incredible and the food amazing. I learned so much about Yoga, Pranayama, Philosophy, and many other subjects. The city is wonderful and rich and culture and spirituality.
