We recently completed a sale and purchase with HRT and we can’t fault the service we received. They were extremely professional, friendly and honest throughout.
Our purchase process was very stressful, emotional and drawn out due to circumstances beyond anyone’s control, but Gavin and Deborah really supportive and helpful, and we are thankful that we eventually got to live to the house we love! We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend HRT.

I used HRT for a recent house purchase and the team were fantastic - from being really responsive when it came to putting in an offer to helping us with any queries or questions. Michele especially was really attentive and helped us get the sale through as easily and quickly as possible. 100% recommend HRT if you’re thinking of buying a property! Thank you all.

We moved to HRT after a terrible experience with our previous selling agent. We had viewed a property, that we wanted to purchase, with them and were impressed with their professionalism.

They did everything they could to secure a sale on our property. We received feedback quickly after viewings and communication was always a strong point. The sale of our property was not a straightforward one, with a lengthy chain, and delays in solicitors responding. Michele was instrumental in getting us to completion, communicating with solicitors and agents throughout the chain. We were persistent with our chasing for updates and she never became fed up with us, remaining professional throughout the process with a personal manner. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend HRT Cowbridge to anyone thinking of selling their property or buying a property through them.

Really friendly and efficient process when purchasing a property advertised in the Cowbridge office Deb, Michele and the team were very helpful and couldn’t do enough for me answering all queries and following things up when requested.

I purchased my current property through HRT Cowbridge.
The sales progressor Michelle, was fantastic at keeping us informed of what was happening even though as the purchaser we weren’t strictly their client.
Michelle filled in the knowledge gaps that we didn’t have through our own agents sales progressor.
Definitely took away some of the stress that we were feeling and we are very grateful for Michelle’s efforts.

We had a disappointing experience during the viewing and subsequent sale process. At the viewing, the HRT representative initially stayed in his car and avoided eye contact; when he eventually greeted us, his manner felt abrupt and unwelcoming. As we asked relevant questions and requested to see the whole property, multiple times, many answers we received were misleading or factually incorrect. I would expect a professional to admit when they are unsure and offer to follow up with accurate information, rather than give incorrect answers.

After we submitted a direct complaint, a different colleague who manages the property was much more respectful and responsive—replying to our queries within an hour or 24 hours at most—which we appreciated.

However, during the sale/purchase stage we received several panicked emails and calls from the seller that raised serious concerns. Whether through misunderstanding or not, the tone and scale of warnings that the sale might fall through felt like scare-mongering and were frightening. The seller told us that HRT office members had passed along this false information, and the seller also noted other viewings reported experiences consistent with ours.

I hope the company will address staff conduct and accuracy of information at viewings, and take steps to ensure clear, calm communication during transactions. Prompt, honest responses and a respectful attitude would greatly improve the customer experience.

Very good communication, professional and patient agents and they did a great job for us. Vicky came out and gave us a fair fee and they carried out a lot of viewings on our particular property and never cribbed nor grizzled once. They got me a good price for my old house and I walked away happy to relocate in a different area. I can only recommend them after having first hand experience. They always answer the phone quickly, unlike a lot of other agents who are far too big for their boots. HRT did us proud to be honest, they were down to earth and I'd choose them again in a heartbeat.

These guys are just brilliant, honest, responsive, and very reliable. Special respect has to go to Sian Jones, head of rentals - an absolute pleasure to work with. I would strongly recommend them.

HRT have been great Sain from the lettings department let my property very quickly to a super tenant, she is most professional and makes the process seamless. Can't thank her enough, the property is in safe hands..

We used this Estate Agent not because they were cheapest, or flashiest, or gave us an inflated estimate for our house. Matthew seemed to understand our needs, supported the presentation of our house for marketing, and gave counselling support when things weren’t so easy. When we were able to accept an offer, David was able to help our decision making by giving explanation of a legal concept that our solicitor had been unable or unwilling to give. The communication support in discussing issues between buyers and ourselves, and liaising regarding our inward sale, was exemplary and Kim was humane and understanding throughout. The whole team was great and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Bridgend branch.

I have nothing but positive words.

I primarily dealt with Deborah, who was a font of knowledge, pleasant to deal with, and a master of her craft. She was efficient, detail driven and personable. The rest of the back office team were equally so. For this reason, a year after I bought through HRT and some renovations, I returned to Deborah and team who then managed the sale of my existing property. I was very pleased with the sale price and the lightening speed at which it sold. I could finally move into my new home.

There was definitely a feeling of a personal touch with HRT. Even though I know they have many clients, I felt like I was the only one.

HRT are efficient at responding to emails and would chase any holdups. I never once felt that I had slipped to the bottom of a pile, with regular updates and engagement.

Solicitors and Agents often get a bad rap, but on both of my transactions I can say that things were trouble free and managed well. They get my vote!

I would like to highly commend Dave Waterman and the whole Team at HRT Bridgend for the fantastic service provided during our recent house move. Selling two houses and purchasing our new one all with HRT made life much easier than dealing with multiple agents.

From the first valuation visit by James who was extremely professional, friendly and engaging (he was the reason we chose HRT after initial meetings with 5 different estate agents) through to the wonderful photos and drone video that Dave took which lead to fantastic Instagram and Social Media presence.

Ann & Matt hosted us for viewings and Kim in the office was always available, friendly and efficient for any questions or concerns we had.

Overall, we can only sing the praises of HRT Bridgend (especially securing buyers for both of our houses within two weeks of listing) and we give the highest possible recommendation. Thank you very much from our happy forever home.

Staff always very helpful and polite, especially Jemma and rose, they have always been so helpful.

HRT have managed my property for the last 2 years.
They found a tenant quickly and took care of everything.
Excellent customer service and communication throughout

Went through the referencing for a flat through the Cowbridge office, being hounded every day to complete the forms as and when they wanted. I was told throughout the process that there were no issues and assured that the matter was in hand.

When the referencing was complete and I was less than 3 weeks away from moving, they then decided to let me know that they hadn't heard from the landlord in weeks and the flat was not fit for human habitation.

Left me hung out to dry on a property that should not have even been advertised in the first place. Awful experience, would recommend to avoid if can be helped or failing that, do not take what they tell you at face value.

Jemma from hrt handled our account, and other than a small delay in moving in due to ongoing painting , the experience was very good.
Viewing - seamless n on time, we viewed the property twice
Response to queries - prompt and helpful
Paper work and contract- efficient
Misc- we shifted few of our furniture before moving in, it was coordinated well by Jemma n hrt amidst their schedule.

Cowbridge office - the asking price was offered, seller agreed, a sale was in progress. A day later my ID via the online portal was accepted, another day later a solicitor was secured, on that same day an email was recieved from HRT saying the sellers had accepted a higher offer - that HRT had put forward, as they did not mark the property as 'Sold Subject to Contract' and continued putting offers forward to the seller

'GAZUMPING is not illegal in UK but it is ethically and morally frowned upon' I for one property owner both in UK and EU will never do business with HRT again
..... buyers beware!

Thank you for the reply, like I said gazumped, or in this instance maybe I was being tested to increase my already agreed offer - as the property is still showing for sale upon your website. Unfortunately I will not be making any other offers on this property or any other with your company. Best Regards and I hope it sells in future - promptly.

What an unprofessional company.
Their lettings department are a disgrace, very vague and no idea what’s going on regarding current information on the properties on their books.
Fortunately I was able to send someone to view the property we were interested in and a house was being built virtually next door which had taken over a third of the garden !
The staff haven’t a clue what is going on.
Do not deal with this company.
