I have been a Humana insurance customer…

I have been a Humana insurance customer for a full year, and my experience with coverage has been quite positive. While I occasionally needed to obtain pre-authorizations, I was generally satisfied with the insurance services provided. However, I did find the frequent solicitations for additional services to be excessive; there were instances where I received calls multiple times a day regarding care management. Despite this concern, I would rate the overall insurance experience as favorable.

Humana is a SCAM of an insurance company

One star just so l can write a review. Terrible insurance, the worst I've personally ever had in my lifetime, and I'm now 65 years old. It has taken four years, and I am still trying to get my teeth cleaned in Zephyrhills, Florida; I'm still waiting. I finally got an extraction done and had to pay out-of-pocket $143.19, which they told me was my responsibility. My flex card has $250 on it. It's lost in the mail, and it expires at the end of this month, just in a few days, like the OTC card. I put my order in, and it says delivered four days ago, but I can't find it. After being transferred three times, I finally told them to keep it, and I hung up. Terrible insurance. l've notified my broker again. Pay social security 174 dollars a month if you live in Zephyrhills Florida or you will surly die.😏

I found the agent to be terribly rude

I found the agent to be terribly rude, inpatient, and with an uncaring attitude. Don't worry, I may have missed the 2025 enrollment period this year to make changes, but I won't be back next year. And in the meantime I will be very busy spreading the word about my awful experience with Humana's customer service in sales.

DO NOT GO TO CONVIVA 1733 N university dr plantation fl

DO NOT GO TO CONVIVA CARE (wholly owned by Humana) at 1208 University Drive in Plantation Fl or their new address at 1733 University Drive. Now that they are merging, the 1208 address lost all their good people. THE HISPANIC FEMALE ARNP AT THIS LOCATION IS CHANGING YOUR PERSONAL M.D's INDIVIDUAL HEALTH CARE PLAN THAT YOU AND HE/AGREED TO. SHE IS DENYING LIFE SAVING MEDICATION YOU HAVE TAKEN FOR YEARS. When I asked why, she called a disrespectful, gross, ignorant male named Jesus. Se cree Jesus tambien. He told me "Chinga tu madre" . That means fu** your mother. My mom is deceased and I am Disabled. This was said in front of the very dark and uncaring Hispanic ARNP. He then was instructed to have me arrested on orders of the Hispanic ARNP. Lets not even talk about the REFERRALS AND AUTHORIZATIONS ISSUE. ITS HUMANA PEOPLE. See me on Tik Tok and Instagram. LET HUMANA AND CMS KNOW THAT WE ARE FED UP.

Changed email and c.c

Changed email and c.c. -- my fault not double checking but info was not changed and 90 days later coverage was dropped. Immediately went to correct and I hit a wall from the people I was dealing with. Call backs were not made and ultimately had to go to another insurer. VERY POOR customer service -- the worst. I have ZERO intention of dealing with them again.

Fifteen-year Happy Customer

I have been with Humana Medicare Advantage for 15 years and have had excellent customer service and timely payment of claims. I order my prescriptions from CenterWell, most of which are on Auto-refill, and I consistently receive my meds in plenty of time before I run out. And they contact my providers for a renewed prescription when it's needed. I'm a happy customer, and have to wonder if all these horribly negative reviews could possibly be talking about the Humana I've dealt with for the past 15 years!

I read these reviews and wonder why cheated

I read these reviews and wonder what went wrong not having Humana and what might happen I wonder was it this that I found in a Google search:
A "medical deductible" means the amount of money you have to pay out of pocket for medical costs each year before your health insurance starts to cover any expenses; basically, you need to spend a certain amount before your insurance kicks in and starts paying for your medical bills.
Example: If your annual medical deductible is $1,000, you would need to pay the full cost of any medical services until you reach $1,000 in total medical costs for the year, then your insurance would start covering a portion of your medical bills and resets every year.
This proves it:
Key points about deductibles:
Yearly reset: Your deductible resets at the beginning of each year.
Higher deductible, lower premium: Typically, a higher deductible means a lower monthly insurance premium.
Check your plan details: Always check your specific health insurance plan to see exactly how your deductible works.
Check your understanding
Understanding Your Deductible | Department of Insurance, SC
Simply put, a deductible is the amount of money that the insured person must pay before their insurance policy starts paying ....
SC Department of Insurance
What's a deductible? - UnitedHealthcare
A deductible is the amount of money you pay out of pocket for certain covered health care services before your health plan starts paying.

UnitedHealthcare
Cost-Sharing Charges - Beyond the Basics
A deductible is the amount that a health insurance plan enrollee must pay before the plan starts to pay for most covered items and...

So strange one plan shows $5,999 therefore what good is a insurance plan if I must pay $5,999 before Insurance does anything, I only get $334 a month to spend however the amount given to UHC every month is near $200 a month or any insurance plan for example in a year UHC is getting $2400 a year and me near $4000 in social security therefore every year any insurance plan is getting near $2400 a year therefore impossible to have and spend $5,999 silly insurance plan in 10 years they get $24,000 I would need to wait near 3 years and almost spend it all and almost nothing else therefore impossible to have a insurance plan it would benefit the insurance company not me silly scam

So I get a letter from my hospital…

So I get a letter from my hospital saying they will not be honoring Humana in 2025. I started checking my doctors and other hospitals nearby that I could become a patient in and guess what....they are not going to honor Humana either. Checking further I find that the Humana CEO stated that they would be eliminating over half a million insureds in 2025. I obviously will not be doing business with Humana ever again. I had this coverage for 10 years and now I have to find something new. Thanks Humana for nothing.

Avoid these liars

Any person who is disabled and has had many problems with simple tasks due to age and health related issues can understand that the elderly need help with every day chores, not increasing the level of difficulty and aggravation.
The simple truth about Humana, is that they, in my opinion, specialize in increasing the level of difficulty in every way they find feasible for especially the elderly and disabled so they can avoid paying what they publicly promise and promote doing. A perfect example is their healthy benefit card which claims many things which in my experience rarely amount to more than lies. If you don't have a PhD good luck trying to use it. I am personally changing insurance companies because I am tired of such simplicity being intentionally twisted into an aggravation so large that it becomes easier to forfeit the benefit than continue jumping through endless hoops trying to accomplish receiving what is repeatedly promised. To further disgust the insured they continually feign such fraudulent caring over the phone, whilst absolutely refusing to do anything at all to admit their failing or doing anything whatsoever to rectify or improve the situation which was and still is 100% their fault.
After years of experience you realize it's intentional.

I have been very satisfied with HUMANA until recently

I have been very satisfied over the past 2+ years being covered by Humana. Always helpful, prescriptions always arrive on time or early. Phone calls have always been quickly answered and questions I had are always answered quickly and politely. That is until recently. As we all know every year we are all inundated with requests from dozens of companies trying to switch us to their health plans! Because Humana has reduced the coverage and benifits I used to get I decided to look around at other offerings. If I stayed with Humana I would also have to switch my Dr as Humana is no longer accepted by the local hospital that my Dr works out of ! Here in Maine people have an extremely hard time finding a good Dr sometimes taking 6-8 months as they are booked up with no space for more patients. So staying with Humana would cost me around $$$$ in lost benefits and I would have to switch to a Dr within their plan who could be as much as an extra 60 miles away and that's if I could find one short term? I am happy with my Dr so i'm switching to another company. Something that the agent who called me today seemed unhappy with ! When I mentioned Humana was having issues like Northern Light Health dropping Humana Medicare Advantage Plan and stock price drop of some 47% she told me that it was hearsay and got defensive. This attitude immediately made my mind up to switch to another company, which means I can keep the same Dr. From my research it seems that almost all plans offered via various companies are being reduced this year. This is a bad situation in view of the fact costs are rising in almost every sector.

My 87 year old mother has had Humana…

My 87 year old mother has had Humana Medicare Advantage for over 20 years. I received an email from MUSC hospital and they will no longer accept Humana effective 1/1/25. I also got a call concerning her doctor's office and effective 9/4/24 they will no longer accept Humana which means from September through December she can't even see her doctor. I went online and pulled up claims going back almost a year with her doctor and Humana didn't pay her doctor a dime. MUSC hospital said they have been trying to negotiate with Humana for 2 years concerning paying claims and getting procedures approved and where unsuccessful. I'd give this company a 0 rating if I could. I want people to know how bad this company is. Stay away from This company

RUN AWAY FROM HUMANA HELATHCARE AND USAA

I have been with Humana for less than a year NOW I get letter saying there was a data breach, WOW!! Humana allowed someone to steal ALL of my information, my SSN, my date of birth, address, EVERYTHING!!!.
Humana sent me this letter with a number to call and the recording says open starting at 8am central, well another LIE! I called it over and over and the recording also says "they are closed and it is after 9am central!!!

When I saw that USAA logo was attached to it when the man was allowed to set up on a military post to sell their garbage something told me to run away but like a fool I listened to what he said and it was full of lies!!
I had been cheated by USAA before when I had their insurance. Humana kept telling me that USAA had nothing

RUN away from USAA, AND HUMANA!!!!

100% Disabled Marine- Terminated over an Email REPLY.

I worked for Humana for 3 months. Worst training ever. Worst systems. They have agets for selling - trying to help their clients who have enrolled who have 0 expoerience helping them. They encouraged and forced to do a NEEDS analysis on ever call which is graded- if they don't do this and try to push every call into a MAPD plan- no matter what... you're going to be terminated in no time because of your call scores. Right now they have agents calling outbound calles to PART D clients telling them they can send themk pre plans now for 2025 and they can sign them and send them back on the 15th of October--- this is 100% illegal--- now, there going to say it's not in the agents script- but look at the NEEDS analysis--- why are they even making outbound calls now anyways? it's illegal to talk to them on the same day about plans- I promise you they are. I just got fired today over a stupid email issue. So, I am a 20 year Marine-- owned 2 agencies and have never been called unprofessional till this email incident-- so now they are terminating before my HR dispute has even been investigated- I just turned in yesterday. So- they are covering it up and we'll launch a thousand darts at them until they contact me. 72 hours since the incident and I called the HR first to try to cover my 6--- no call. Nice green glove experience towards your 100% diabled Veteran who is new to your company and 50 years old. I'm not a kid. I did nothing wrong by siumpy replying to a no reply email-- thats it. look into - you'll be shocked. And yes, look into them dialing clients now and making sales on 2025 plans or setting them now for a SALE in an email for the 15th--- they are sending them out now as DMM's just have medicare look into this and see how many emails are sent out to clients so far-- I think it was 20k plus-- in 3 days-- if one person applies to those emails with the plan they sent them to enroll in on the 15th-- they are breaking the law--- they sent out 20k in 3 days. I know-- becasue I worked there. I sent out 0 because I know it's illegal.
