Lies, gaslighting and more lies

They keep increasing prices, lie and gaslight you. I opened a support ticket after the first increase two months ago to confirm whether my promised price would stay the same - which they did confirm.
Then they increased the price anyway, and when contacted about it they first referred some random, unrelated communication from years past and then completely stopped responding. The ticket has been open for months now with no feedback from them.
Absolutely avoid, humble was good but it's clear they're running out of money and need to rely on scummy methods to get revenue.

Literally fraud

I've been subscribed to Humble Bundle Choice service for a few years. It gives you a bunch of activatin keys for games every month, some expire if unclaimed after a certain date, but most do not.
I've now been trying to claim one of these unexpired keys from a past bundle for months, but it is "out of stock", while they sell the same game on the store. I am literally being kept from getting what I paid for, and they claim it can't be helped.
Another horrible experience with what used to be a decent service.

Not all games included in the bundle you paid for

I would not say it's a scam, but recently, in 2 bundles, one game was missing in each. I asked support for a key, but they either give evasive replies or just ghost your request. I would not recommend them as of now, since you don't know if you'll actually be getting a key for all games in the bundle you purchase

Operate like a scam, they sell you gamekeys that they don't have and don't even intend on renewing stock

Bought a bundle from them, and went to redeem the codes immediately after purchase but one of the big games in the bundle didn't have any keys available. Months have passed since then, and the key is still not available and probably never will. They literally sell you keys that don't even exist, it's a total scam.

Just look at any forum discussing Humble and you will find so many that have had this happen to them, and often the only solution Humble offers is a $2 refund after months of waiting and only if the user complains about it, no proactive action from Humble whatsoever.

They are selling bundles but dont…

They are selling bundles but dont reserve the key for you.
Got the June Choice and wanted to redeem one of the keys now just to see they are out.
Not even 2 weeks after i got the bundle they are out how can this be?
Support just tells you "we dont get any keys anmore, here are 2$ for our store" as if this would be acceptable in any way.
The worst thing is they still sell the game via their own shop so they have a way to get keys but dont want to provide me with the funds for their shop or a key so its a total scam.
They want ppl to not use their keys because they only have to pay for keys which are really used thats why they try to scam as much as posible.

Deceptive / Terrible support.

Been waiting more than 4 months for keys for items I purchased. Not only keys from choice but also direct purchases.

Twenty three email messages later and support have told me their is nothing they can do and that they will not be refunding any of my money.

They were quick to tell me they want an extra £3 a month for choice despite not being able to deliver it.

Service quality decline

1. The key distribution method is flawed.

Humble Bundle should guarantee that buyers will receive the game code they purchased when the order is completed (whether it is a pre-order or regular purchase).

It is incredible that I have not received a game code for more than two years. Because only after you uncover the game code can you get a set of game codes through Humble Bundle's system. If Humble Bundle does not have enough game codes in stock, you have to wait for them to reissue them.

Sometimes you have to wait a long time, and sometimes you can't get it at all, and they will refund you according to their calculations.

If I buy a game and there is no guarantee that I will get it, why should I buy it? I buy the possibility of getting a game code, not the absolute ownership.

2. Customer service needs to be improved

Of all the game stores I have bought games from, HB's after-sales service is really bad.

First of all, you have to wait a long time to get some response, sometimes it takes one to two weeks to solve a simple problem.

And each customer service has completely different knowledge and experience in dealing with related matters. Some customer service staff cannot understand the customer's problem, while some can immediately find the problem.

This means that the company has not conducted effective education and training. If a customer has a problem and the only solution you can provide is a refund, there is nothing worse than this.

Because this means that you cannot handle the customer's problem, so you can only refund the customer. In addition to wasting time, it also damages HB's corporate image.

I think your company has problems with management. You should recruit truly capable professionals to be supervisors to improve HB's image and service quality. Otherwise, it will only get worse.

Paid full price, others got it free

I paid full price for June’s Humble Choice, only to later learn that — due to a glitch — some users received the same bundle for free. Support acknowledged the error, escalated my ticket, and after more than 2 weeks, I received a final response from a customer service manager.

While they admitted the mistake occurred, they ultimately refused any form of compensation or goodwill gesture, stating that support “did not have the flexibility” to offer anything in this case. No clear reasoning was provided beyond internal limitations.

It’s frustrating to see paying customers overlooked while those who benefited from the error were allowed to keep their bundles and were even publicly thanked. I’ve been a long-time supporter of Humble, but the way this situation was handled was disappointing — not because of the error itself, but because of how those affected were treated.

Incomplete Bundle Delivery and Unfair Compensation

I’ve purchased several bundles through Humble Bundle, including one that prominently featured Darksiders III and other specific titles as part of the promotion. Unfortunately, I later found out that many of those games were not actually delivered – and there was no warning about this at the time of purchase.

As compensation, I was offered $18 in store credit. This flat rate is based on a fixed internal model of $1.50 per game, regardless of the actual market value or the significance of the missing titles. Meanwhile, the combined retail value of the undelivered games exceeds $200 on Steam.

I contacted support multiple times, explaining that I did not buy the bundle for just "any 8 games," but specifically for titles like Darksiders III, which were heavily promoted. Despite this, I was repeatedly told that the compensation is final and based on how the bundle price is split internally.

Worse still, there’s no clear information on whether the missing games will ever be delivered. Humble mentions possible restocking but provides no timeline or commitment.

From a customer perspective, this is very disappointing:

I paid for a clearly advertised bundle,

Did not receive all the promised content,

Received a small credit that doesn’t cover even one of the missing titles,

And was met with a rigid policy that doesn’t account for actual value or expectations.

Humble Bundle used to stand for fair deals and transparency. I hope they reconsider how they handle these situations and start prioritizing customer experience when things don’t go as planned.

This is outrageous

This is outrageous, I bought bundle for 20$ just for play Wartales and I didn't get key. "Keys are temporarily exhausted for this product"... I paid for product, so I want it! This is not my problem that you are selling bundles and you haven't got keys.

"Pride Games" and suggestions

"Pride Games" and suggestions. I received an email like this and I think it's cringey and weird considering your consumers, which are mainly straight men.

Speaking on pride though, maybe take some pride in your work instead of trying to spread some ideology.

I paid for a month's subscription at…

I paid for a month's subscription at the end of April. My subscription was valid until the 22nd of May, so I tried to download the May games, only to find that I had to pay again for another month subscription to download the May files, when I am already in contract with them for a month. So I should have been able to download April, and then May. If they want you to only download one lot, then really the subscription should start at the start of the month and not half way through. I clicked by accident in desperation to try and download the games, as I thought that it was a mistake, I have requested to be refunded, but about eight hours later and no reply. I will update this as time goes on.
