Avoid these scammers
Please avoid this scammer she will do nothing but send the same few profiles she has over and over again. I paid £200 for a year and it was the biggest waste of money. I sent her my photos so she can see that I am not slim I am a size 16 yet she kept sending me profiles asking for slim build. I kept telling her that she is sending me unsuitable profiles but it made no difference she would send the same few profiles. From the last 5 profiles she sent me 3 asked for slim build and hijab but I don't wear a hijab so I asked her to contact the other 2. I did not hear from her so my mum called her for an update and she was so rude to my mum. I could not believe the way she spoke to my mum she told her to stop calling all the time and that she does hot have time to answer her calls all the time. My mum only called her 3 times in that whole year! She then proceeded to tell my mum that the other 2 rejected me bacuse I was too fat and that if I am serious about finding a partner that I should lose weight! This whole experience has left me feeling even more insecure about myself than I was before I joined this scam. She then blocked me off WhatsApp. I honestly can not believe the appalling behaviour of these individuals and I would never recommend them to anyone. They should change their name to zobia scam bureau as that's all it is. A scam.
After reading the reviews I thought I…
After reading the reviews I thought I should share my honest experience. Firstly I bought the package and was trying to pay through PayPal only to find out it was not working. Hum marriage told me it’s a error on PayPal, however I called PayPal and they confirmed there was nothing wrong on their side. The reason why they do not allow you to pay via PayPal is because it stops from customers claiming their money back as you would be protected through PayPal to get your money back if their services were not as described so that’s the first red flag.
Secondly I was very informative in terms of what I was looking for, I explained what I want and what looks I am interested in. They re assured me they have thousands of profiles and it wouldn’t be an issue. Anyways after 6 weeks I received my first match, it did not meet my criteria at all and ofcourse I declined and explained I have told you and my criteria and this is not right. Little did I know instead of Hum marriage accepting it’s their error they made me wait another 6 weeks for my second match. I also remember I didn’t even get a match every 6 weeks and on 2/3 occasions Sara told me there was no one she found that matched my criteria, so I had to wait 8 weeks or more sometimes, they are appalling.
Anyways after 4 matches all of which I declined as they were not ‘hand picked’ for me as they advertise, Sara said to me my criteria is too specific. I was annoyed why did they not tell me this at the beginning before welcoming me on board and taking my money. They act like they are helping you but really they just give you a random match that doesn’t match your specific criteria.
She kept throwing me terms and conditions to read. After half way through my membership Sara messaged me and said they had paused match making due to coronavirus and they would not be continuing which is straight up BS I’m sorry. I asked why and Sara said we cannot encourage matches to meet up due to lockdown etc. I’m sorry but we are all grown adults a match is given to you to talk to, to see if you even connect on a level, who thinks about meeting straight away? Surely if people did go ahead and meet for some silly reason then why would Hum Marriage be at fault? I’m sure when lockdown was in place the people in question were getting fined who broke the government laws. So again this was a stupid reason to stop finding matches.
Also in Ramadan they also messaged to say they would be closed and not doing matches again. I thought fine it’s religious reasons and I accept, I thought it would be a month. But no due to Ramadan they stopped searching for 2 months lol, bizarre again.
Every match I was given was not what I asked for and when I complained they wasn’t interested and basically said we have given you a match, I’m sorry but muzmatch is better than this and that’s saying a lot. Sara would give me matches that I wouldn’t even match with on muzmatch. It was a waste of time, money and most importantly my energy. She acts like she cares and calls you sister and says she is praying for you and working overtime but it’s all BS.
She even encouraged me to buy the most expensive package so I’d get matches more regularly lol even though she already said that my criteria is too specific so how would that help exactly?
All in all I paid for years subscription and got no more than 5/6 matches sent to me, all of which I declined as it was not what I asked for. After months of back and forth I gave up, I didn’t bother getting a refund or complaining with them as it’s not in my character to be honest although I probably should of.
The reason as to why I wrote this review is because as 28 year old female it’s very difficult searching for a partner, websites like this are a gimmick and they just take your money. So please do your research and pick wisely. Muzmatch and salaams is terrible but I’d chose them over Hum Marriage any day at-least I can ‘hand pick’ the correct profiles on there myself and not wait 6 weeks for one match.
I signed up to the platinum package
I signed up to the Gold plus package - I had only received one match after four weeks. After messaging the matchmaker man my times - there was always the excuse of “soon” but that never happened.
I hope this helps others!
Extremely Bad Service!
I registered with Hum Marriage Nov 2020. Paid £99 annual subscription. I was sent scripted messages mainly refering to T&C's. I got no matches, delayed texts, no personal adviser. Sara does not exist. Then without warning or notice all communication stopped! Don't expect a personal one-to-one relation building service it does not exist. You can't call them or speak with them, its text only. They take your money then all communication stops! Profiles don't exist. I'm not ashamed to admit I've been scammed. Customers are being robbed of £99 - £399 per hit. They have no guilt consciousness, targeting muslim singles looking for marriage and preying on their needs. To use a polite C-word: Cons!! Hum Marriage should come with a warning sticker: DO NOT ENTER!!! Scammers design a pretty website to Rip us off. BEWARE STAY AWAY do Not pay these people. Listen to the negative reviews go with your gut instinct. The positive reviews are scams to suck you in. Believe me there's no matches here no service just a big fat Con. DON'T BUY INTO IT. They will pay the price to Allah iA.
Like others they stopped responding
Like others they stopped responding, appalling service. Managed to get a partial refund from my credit card company. Would urge others who have lost money to try and do the same.
Disgrace
Again, like others I paid for the service and reveived no matches. Absolutely disgraceful.
Do not even deserve one star
Do not even deserve one star! An absolute scam and total fraud- I paid for one year subscription and half way down the year now with no contact at all! Will be reporting them and taking them to court. A shameful way to earn money - completely HARAM! Do not use this service!!
If I could give 0 stars I would
If I could give 0 stars I would! This company doesn’t even deserve 1 star!! I paid £399 and haven’t had a single match nor have I been able to contact them! Lines keep saying they are busy, I have emailed, called and written to them via instagram! No one has responded. They are a fraud!!!
Take the time to read this review before signing up!!!
Like so many people who have left reviews here, I have been conned by this sham so-called 'business'. I paid for a full years service, and am more than halfway through that membership period yet I have only received three matches in total. Although I was due a match a few weeks ago, I never received it. Be aware, 3-6 weeks for a new match is more like 8 weeks every time.
I have messaged my 'matchmaker' several times but she appears to have fallen off the face of the Earth. No replies from her for months, and now my messages are no longer even getting delivered on Whatsapp.
I have tried calling the head office but the phone is blocked and always goes through to voicemail. No response to any emails, voicemails, texts nor tweets. I have been very polite, patient and courteous in all my dealings with them, but the same respect is not returned. Not even the basic courtesy to reply to their paying customers.
Judging by the way they've done this to many people, I'd guess they've gone bust and are in hiding after pocketing clients money. The time for politeness and patience is up- its time to fight back and expose these frauds.
Take my advice and steer well clear of these immoral scammers. Would give 0 stars if there was the option to. They will waste your time and your money. You can get a refund for your money, but you can never get back precious time.
Terrible site
Terrible site. Financially motivated nothing to do with family a religiously compatible partner
One of the worst dating sites
One of the worst dating sites, avoid it at all cost. They want you to become a member and pay for the membership but they deliver nothing in return. Their parent company is World Singles which is no better, I paid for a three months-membership and I cancelled after 3 hours of being member, of course they refund me nothing. Big mistake.
Stay away
Really unsuitable matches, saying my criteria was too strict, I changed my criteria, still unsuitable matches, total waste of time and money
If you want gold, you will get silver
No response from the main email address. Just be careful when signing up as Platinum membership is actually gold membership.
Their staff messaged me in March, around lockdown time, to say membership will be paused as the majority of users have decided to do this. I emailed them after a few months of no matches to find my membership had expired. Why are you messaging me if my membership was supposedly expiring. Don’t beleive I received the full amount of matches as dictated by the platinum service user description.
Would have loved to give a higher rating.
Terrible service
Terrible service. Wanted me to marry those that were divorced.
This has got to be one of the best…
This has got to be one of the best Marriage sites. Sara is fantastic and I must say this Company is highly professional and courteous and know exactly what they are talking about & doing. Thanks immensely.
Just go for it
For anyone who is thinking about signing up, it is a very good service, considering the money paid in my opinion. I am surprised with how professional the service is considering it is an asian business (no offence, but I have had the worst experiences previously) I got responses from my match maker within short times and queries always answered promptly along with lots of valuable advice.
I am a 32 year old londoner and it has been a real struggle for me meeting other practicing Muslim professionals in my line of work. I had not really had much luck with other platforms.
I signed up to the basic package initially and upgraded to the platinum package after a few months for quicker matches. Any sisters or brothers in two minds, sign up to the basic package even. It is not a lot of money over the year considering what may come of it. I wish I had come across a place that did this sooner.
It had gotten to a point where I really thought it wasn't going to happen for me but Alhamdulilah, I have found a life partner that is not only on the deen as I wanted but also the kindest and most thoughtful and respectful. Thank you to the team for putting up with me and apologies if I ever came across abrupt or pushy.
They are professional
They are professional and work with you to find someone suitable.
As a trainee surgeon I have zero time to socialise, as well as trying the various apps It had been a good way of meeting professionals serious for marriage.
I signed up to the middle package a few…
I signed up to the middle package a few weeks ago. Didn’t expect much because of how cheap the service is but so far so good. Have received 4 matches so far and my matchmaker is professional and quite accommodating which is a change.
i read just about every review before…
i read just about every review before registering. as i do with all things i buy online. There were a couple that were a little off-putting, but the company responded professionally and alleviated my concerns. Its nice to a company engage and stay up to date with all or any issues - shows good customer service. back to me... I registered, and found the service to be exactly what they said "a learning curve", it started off a little "off" to what i wanted, but i gave plenty of feedback as they requested, and matches began to become more and more accurate...exactly as they said. I have now found someone im happy and we are going ahead with marriage! family involvement from the beginning, as we are both in our 20s. Knowing your families are in on the entire ordeal is comforting and gives you that "halal" feeling, which made things great. If anyone wants and advice, as i found this to be the case with me and also my partner after discussing it with her, 2 things...1 you have to have a laugh and be less serious. You can have a laugh and remain "halal" by the way. Ive never had a partner in my life, and i tried so many app and sites like muzmatch and single muslims, and genuinely it shocking the type of people on there. They have a laugh but start talking dirty and stuff. They're not marriage sites, they're muslim version of Tinder lol and point number 2, which probably wasted the first couple of months for me, listen to your match maker when they offer advice, we're paying for their expertise here really. So if they say open up this that or the other, just listen, Because I had some crazy restrictions to start with, then i asked for some advice, I took it, and within a month and a half I was happy. Hum really know what theyre doing, and if i could give more stars i would. Becasue they put all these dating apps and the copy cats to shame. Keep it up Hum. I can vouch for you to anyone. Just ask
