Absolutely pointless

Absolutely pointless. I won £750 with Coral on their free horse racing game. All of sudden I withdraw it and they suspended the account saying they needed bank documents and other information. Ok fine, so I send it in and all is verified and account will be back in action in 24 hours time. 24 hours pass and another email comes through saying that I’ve got an open account that’s currently in self exclusion bare in mind I’ve already withdrawn from this account 2 months previous with no complications. So I have a telephone conversation with the safer gambling team who confirm that apperently there was a ladbrokes account self excluded from 5 years ago that just need opening back up after the period had passed so again I was compliant even though I was confused and explained I never had a ladbrokes account they insisted and said that after this my funds will be available and the account finally back up and running. So again the same process follows I wait 24 hours for them again for third time to come back and say that there was another Ladbrokes account still in self exclusion and wasn’t up until April 2025. I had no option and just had to sit and wait. Well here we are a year later with still no money and also no account anymore as a ‘business decision’ closed the account and the funds weren’t available because I played with a self exclusion active. This is where IBAS come in pretty much did absolutely nothing. I sent emails, telephone conversations, screenshots of conversations with corals customer service team and they come back to me saying that coral are in the right and that if a player plays with a self exclusion the funds can’t be given. As stated to them first time around I had never had a self excluded ladbrokes account and never had an issue withdrawing funds before.

If you’re thinking about going through IBAS honestly don’t waste your time. Not a single piece of my evidence was even looked at just corals statement was enough for them to wash away my case. They always say the bookies always win and that’s solid proof right there. IBAS are in the back pockets of them bookies for sure.

Anyone need a chocolate kettle?

There is no point using this service to dispute a bet outcome. They will always come back to the customer being subject to the bookmaker’s rules which are of course enormously stacked in favour of the bookmaker.

Basically - you agreed to the bookmaker’s terms and conditions when you signed up to their website. These terms and conditions will let the bookmaker do pretty much anything they want including cancelling your bet, changing the odds you placed the bet at, and changing payouts because they claim to have made an error. IBAS appear to, ‘have their back’ in this respect so don’t bother disputing bets.

What a shame that this so-called adjudication service really just seems to exist to reinforce the unfairly weighted terms & conditions of unscrupulous bookmakers. What they should be doing is compelling bookmakers to conduct themselves in the SPIRIT of the services they offer, rather than allowing them to always default to the LETTER of their terms & conditions.

Very very unprofessional.Waste of time using these, put a…

Waste of time using these, put a complaint in beginning of June after William hill ripped me off only to receive an email this morning saying sorry for the delay as I've been on holiday(person who was dealing with the case)and was very rude saying as you haven't sent in any evidence (I have 4 times)they will rely solely on the evidence William hill provides and to top it off it was a no reply email so I couldn't even say anything in return, this company is paid by the big betting firms and no one wins against them so don't waste your time.
UPDATE ON MY APPEAL
After quite a few weeks I got an email saying included in the email is the result of my appeal but it said in the email I had already lost so why bother adding an attachment, basically they totally ignored my evidence and completely took the word of William hill who told a pack of lies but because William hill pay IBAS wages they sided with them as usual, the whole system is corrupt so don't waste your time using IBAS because you won't win.

Huge thanks to IBAS for their support! After weeks of back and forth, that cheeky betting website finally released my withheld funds —definitely wouldn’t have happened without Jim’s help. He handled everything professionally. Much appreciated!

Fair review

How fair is adjudication service paid by one of the parties?
IBAS is financed by bookmakers to independently resolve disputes between bookmakers and gamblers. 🫣😂 only in UK 🤦🏻

Don’t waste your time

Waited 10+ weeks for a response to receive less than a three page response from them to not uphold the complaint. They disregarded most/all evidence sent in plus gave me no updates when they were taking longer than the wait times until I asked them to update me. Service was shocking and like the rest of the reviews they don’t side with the punter at all so don’t waste your time. Paddy clearly scammed me out of money but they don’t care about that since I’m not putting money in their pocket.

James Ironside from IBAS was so…

James Ironside from IBAS was so professional and supportive of my dispute with Bet Fred and I can’t thank him enough as he could see I had a strong case and yes I made a mistake righting my bet out.
But it could clearly be seen what I meant.
And it was a great outcome thanks to James and Bet Fred honoured my bet in full.
Thanks again James

Abysmal to say the least.

Abysmal to say the least.

I submitted my case to ibas with very strong evidence of miss-leading information and lack of transparency.
IBAS is industry funded, they are paid by the very operators you are claiming against. Without the operators money, their business operation wouldn't be possible. So impartiality is compromised, they will award in the favour of the customer in small amount i imagine to be seen as impartial. However, this sum was for £29,533.. and its clear as day that they would never award this amount to a customer. My evidence was clear cut, i had videos, screenshots clearly showing the operator breaking the laws of gambling which directly impacted me in not receiving my winnings... the case couldnt have been any more stronger. My advice is not to use this service and go straight to the UKGC, they dont deal with individual cases, but they will fine the operator and come down hard with them. i'll be looking to petition that IBAS are removed as an ADR in hope that the adjudication process is handled by a similar body to the UKGC. A fair, impartial body that works to protect customers when gambling, as a pose to companies funded by these companies who are cheating people of their money. I will be appealing the decision and taking legal action. I will also be contacting the UKGC. Operators have been fined millions of pounds for the very same violations that has occurred here. So i will look forward to the investigation into the operator and the decision making from ibas too.

Also, when you try and call up to speak with someone at ibas, you will reach someone who comes across fairly rude and abrupt, no customer service courtesy, and complete lack of knowledge of the process.

One rule for me and one for another person the same problem he got his winnings I don’t get mine !!

I was advised to open a case with ibas as I used my mothers card to deposit at one time when my payment card would not go throw
other times I have used my own card on this occasion when I used her card I won 1800.00 of which they would not pay due to using a third party card on that occasion even though they took the payments from her account fine

Ibas had already helped someone get there money due to this problem which is why I was recommended them but for some reason my claim has been turned down!!

I don’t see how they can decide a yes for someone else but a no for me makes no sense at all
It was the same thing that happened to both of us so why can I not have my money
Obviously one rule for one person and one rule for me !!
James ironside decided he could get his winnings fine even though he used a third party card like me

There happy 5* review is even on trustpilot below for getting there winnings and thanking ibas for getting his money to him

Reasoning is completely invalid

Got my case completely wrong

I won’t say IBAS sides with the Casino as I’ve seen reviews of them being fair and just, but I believe they’ve got my case horribly wrong.

Deposited £1k of my hard earned money to SpaceCasino and risked my funds and managed to make it to £2k. As you know, doubling your balance is not easy and took risk and was extremely happy with the outcome.

Already passed verification checks long before I played and went to withdraw feeling great.

2 days later, my account was closed

They never paid out after months of not hearing a solution and the reasoning was ‘I breached terms 3.5 Suspension and Closure by SpaceCasino’ which made 0 sense.

Gave all evidence to IBAS and sided with SpaceCasino for reasoning of ‘detected abnormalities in documents’ & ‘evidence of forged documents’

I’ve never forged a document in my life?
They know I’ve sent original copies of my identification, address & bank statements all in my full name and current address. I’m extremely confused as to what is forged. Show me the ‘forged documents’ and I will FaceTime you the original copy, completely identical to the documents SpaceCasino holds, while they’re right beside my face.

I use these same documents for bet365 and Betway with no problems, because it’s MY OWN personal identification, address and bank statements.

I work hard for my funds and it’s absolutely disgusting and vile to lose this knowing you’ve done absolutely no wrong.

IBAS never asked SpaceCasino to see these documents of mine or anything because they are all 500% accurate. Not fair at all & absolutely gutted £1k has been taken from me for an insane judgement.

This happened in November but my chest won’t let hard hours of work be stolen when I’ve followed rules and done no wrong. Will be looking into using my funds to take this to further solicitors as I still have all evidence.

IBAS I’m really appalled with this service, I wouldn’t mind losing my case against SpaceCasino if reasoning is just. Claiming you’ve seen ‘abnormalities in my documents’ is just insane. I would also need to contact my Work place, NHS, GovUK and cancel my abroad holidays since apparently my documents are all ‘abnormal’.

Extremely incorrect judgement to make.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing Support from Angela & the IBAS Team!

Had an absolute nightmare with William Hill, but Angela and the IBAS team were incredible—they sorted everything out quickly and professionally. Highly recommend their services!

William Hill’s dodgy practices make me question how they’re even allowed to operate. Without IBAS, I would have been completely screwed. Huge thanks to Angela and the team for fighting for fairness!

Third party my arse

Third party my arse. I was clearly ripped off by the bookmakers who refused to pay out and IBAS sided with them.
Do not trust. Trust your instincts. Where lots of money is concerned , genuinely so is corruption.

Unprofessional and unfair

I struggle to believe that IBAS operate with any kind of impartial involvement. In my complaint they used generic terms, the sort you might use at the pub with friends.

Their idea of a resolution was a £10 free bet, which was issued with 24 hours to accept. They only advised me of this around 2 weeks after the free bet resolution had expired. How they expect somebody to know and accept this without being advised until significantly later is beyond me.
