I just made the stupid mistake of trying to post a listing on this SCAM site. They charged me £14.99 to upgrade my listing to immediate posting for 1 week and it is still not live. There don't seem to be many active users on this site either so I can't even message any potential housemates because there are none in my area/price range. Total scam site and they should be ashamed. Avoid.

Most rooms are too good to be true for the price they offer and so many images look fake. I had a conversation with a 'landlord' who asked me to put a down payment of £200 before going for a viewing lol

I paid money to Idealflat but received absolutely no service in return. After payment, I reached out multiple times via email and never got any response. No product, no support, nothing at all. This website takes your money and disappears. Based on my experience, Idealflat is a scam site. Stay away from it and do not trust them.

This Web it's full of scammers.
At the moment there is Ashley Pollock ( iff course this is not her real name offering a flat in W1J SLT I contacted her and immediately notice that was scamm
I asked her prove of owning the place and she could not etc
And many other advers are scammers.
So I you are searching on this Web be very careful.

Most properties are too good to be true. Had a conversation with one “landlord” who was obviously a scam. I’ll avoid this website completely.

I got scammed here do not trust any "Landlords" here, always ask for the agency contact do NOT pay for a viewing ever.

This page seems to be full of scammers. They always want to change to email or WhatsApp, not able to give you a few dates and times for a viewing directly on the website. Also, it's not very easy to report those people. You basically have to email the company instead of being able to click on a report option in the message chat.

A very suspicious website, it makes you go through long 'Quizzes' with extremely ominous questions then insist you provide access to a social media account to continue, however when you check their social media links none are active. When you try to ask to chat it demands you grant access to your browser to continue. I decided not to use it in the end, after reading other reviews Im glad. On reading the few positive reviews they tend to be in batches around the same dates by accounts with only the one review for this company... again... suspicious to say the least.

I've used them in November to find a lodger and got nearly zero (1) leads with them. For about the same fees I got 30 times more leads with Spareroom, some of them pretty good and selected a really good one (so far).

I even got plenty more relevant responses with Gumtree for free.

When I paid for IdealFlatmate ad fees they said they would refund me if the ad was unsuccessful. The ad was a complete failure and despite asking them, they never refunded me.

There you go, their website is useless to find flat mates and their refund promise is a scam. You better try Spareroom for a fee or Gumtree (mostly) for free.

Do not understand this website , I am not receiving anything at all ? I did the pay weekly. What can I do ?

Was looking for someone to take over my flatmate's room as he was moving out. The room got listed extremely quickly and had found a replacement within a week!

I used Ideal Flatmate to find the last two of my house mates, both of whom to this day I remain great friends with - great concept and amazing customer service throughout - will continue to recommend this all colleagues !

The staff really care. Always respond to emails quickly and any issues I am having. Found the perfect tenants within 2 weeks.

Glad I went for paid advertising here, as I was able to contact prospective tenants & by doing so got one of my places let out in what's currently a tough market!
In addition, the team responded to a query I had & showed great interest, service & empathy. Thanks!

Was looking for someone to take over my tenancy in london asap. Within a week they presented possible tenants which matched my requirements and I just had to pick. Thank you!

this site is scam, they insisted me to take membership in order to find flat mate, asked me all the detail what kind of person we are or we want and also paid £25 for monthly membership, they insisted me to take regular membership. I just bought for a month to see how it works. but after payment did not receive a single email form this website about people or any update nothing, they just disappeared. glad cancelled the monthly direct debit. spareroom.com is far better than this one.

Rubbish. I have had everyone i would not want messaging me, none of them match my advert, my double shared room must be showing somewhere as a 1 bed flat. I have emailed Ideal Flatmate support team 3 times with no response. I paid £25 for a month and this is by far the worst experience i have had. Literally wasting so much of my time responding to people. I filled out everything so i would not get time wasters and so much of my time has been wasted.
