BEWARE GRADUATES...

This is a warning from someone who recently did the program.
IENA charges a lot for visa and sponsorship fees, they make a pretty penny in profits from you as a participant once you pay all your fees. In addition to this, they charge SO much for the phony health insurance you will receive, and are forced to pay and sign up for. This is essentially a scam health insurance plan. They know foreigners are not familiar with the US health insurance system and they exploit this for profit with a fake 'plan/coverage'.

Any and ALL of your necessary doctor visits will (conveniently for them) always be 'out of coverage', always.
They will never pay anything to cover anything, not even a co-pay, despite your insurance card clearly stating that it will.
I am talking about doctors clinics or urgent cares which are 'in network'... It makes NO sense.

It'll always be on you to foot the entire costs of the enormous bills you incur.
My genuine advice from experience - Avoid seeing a doctor for prescription refills or ANY doctor/urgent care clinic while you are on this program.
Each visit will cost you $400-$600 OUT OF POCKET. Even for them to just check your blood pressure and say "you'll feel better soon". You'll regret it.

They team up with AETNA and some fake/scammy middle man organisation called 'One Team Health' - a total rort.
Be aware that when you embark on this entire program and process, you will not be supported in any way whatsoever. Even for general enquiries.
IENA (for general matters and visa matters) and One Team Health (for health insurance matters) will usually ignore emails and calls from participants.

You're 100%, completely on your own as soon as you land in the country. Good luck if you go forward with this program like I did. In hindsight, I wish they had been a lot more honest about everything they offer (or rather, lack in offering).

Made it super easy to help me get to America

Made it super easy to help me get placed at a summer camp in America. They help me through the visa paperwork and all the interviews at the embassy.

They were very quick responding to any questions I had and gave great support while I was in America

Awesome program

Awesome program! A very affordable option for Kiwis to go to the States. I felt supported, and supported in a genuine manner by their team. I paid a lot less than I would of with Camp America, with better support and guidance.
