I am an Electrical Engineer with over 10 years of experience in power systems, substations, protection engineering, operations, and maintenance. I currently work for Zambia Electricity Supply Corporation (ZESCO) Limited, where I have held various positions including Electrical Technician, Operations and Maintenance Engineer, Protection Engineer, and Acting Senior Maintenance Engineer (HV & MV), Acting Principal Engineer Technical Services and Senior Engineer Substation.
My experience includes the design, testing, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of high voltage and medium voltage substations and distribution networks. I have been actively involved in protection relay testing and settings, fault investigations, system restoration, commissioning of switchgear and transformers, preventive and corrective maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
I have also led several substation upgrade and rehabilitation projects, supervised technical teams and contractors, prepared technical specifications, reviewed engineering drawings, and coordinated shutdowns and commissioning activities. In addition to my technical background, I hold a Master of Business Administration (MBA), which has strengthened my leadership, project management, and decision making capabilities.
Throughout my career, I have remained committed to improving system reliability, operational efficiency, and safety while contributing to the successful delivery of engineering projects and maintenance programs.
