Balthro replied to Calista during the final upheaval at the facility that every one of the guards who shared in the decrepit plan to eventually extinguish the lives of the Aureate Ticket holders were extremely ill of mind.

A large ram-like monster was a further deterrent to the fearless Balthro during the power upheaval at the facility. While Calista and her assistants, Bain and Mel, aided her in releasing the people at the facility, the Sun’s glorious Phoenix bird made a final attack at the building - extinguishing all life at the facility completely.
