INDRA ENERGY – predatory and misleading practices.
I am retired and living on a fixed income. My home is only 1,200 sq ft, and I keep my heat at 65 during the day and 60 at night. Despite this, my gas bill has skyrocketed to $550, nearly double what I paid with NJ Natural Gas.
INDRA raised my rates without proper notice. I was promised a bill credit, then later told I would not receive it because I was supposedly on a fixed rate. On a follow-up call, I was told I was not even on a fixed rate, yet they still refused to issue the one-time credit they said I was entitled to.
Customer service gave contradictory explanations, changed their story, and took no accountability. I was also told it can take up to two months to switch back to NJ Natural Gas — leaving me trapped and fearful of even higher bills in February.
This company preys on customers, especially seniors. I strongly warn anyone in New Jersey: stay with your utility provider and avoid INDRA Energy.
