Until day of completion all fine, had no choice but to move into a property with no electric or gas. Energy supplier advised should be running, services are never cut off. the previous owner capped services, I spoke to the previous owner, they advised solicitors & estate agents were made aware early on during conveyance. It's the local authority responsibility to uncap prior to completion. This did not happen. So I spent over 7 days battling for it all to be uncapped whilst living there. Heard nothing more from solictors or estate agents, chased many times. They took the money and ran, left me to move into something inhabitable.
No empathy no care no willingness to try to get an update knowing what I was living in. Something of standard practice on a property like this they ignored and palmed off making an already difficult situation harder.

It was useful to note in advance any annual leave days at the bottom of any email correspondence and assurance that work would be covered during a leave period.
