NEFARIOUS Insurewewillscrewyou Shield

I have had a similar experience as MANY of the other complaints. This nefarious company in my opinion, is not only running a SCAM, but works extremely HARD to STEAL!. I shipped a package on Friday, 02/27/2026 at a UPS location, label printed through Pirateship. UPS tracking shows the package in transit from Florida to California.

THEN...

UPS claims they transferred the package to USPS.

The post office is adamant they never received the package. Insurewewillscrewyou Shield CLAIMS it was delivered.

No Proof.

Don’t Waste Your Money on this SCAM

I shipped a package to a customer of mine via UPS and Insureshield “Insured” it. My customer contacted me and said that they never got the package. When I went on the UPS site to verify that the item was delivered, the picture they took was just a blue square. There was no picture of the package I sent or where it was placed at the home. I contacted InsureShield to file a claim. The responded that the claim was denied. When I asked why they said that it was because they had GPS info that shows that it was delivered. I explained to them that there GPS info just means the driver was in the right area, it does not show that the package was delivered or if it was that it was delivered to the right home. They responded back and said the were sure it was delivered so I asked for them to give me some proof. They could not come up with any and said they were closing the case. Clearly their insurance is a scam. Don’t waste your money, you are better off taking your chances and hope the item gets delivered because they won’t back their own insurance. As a service to my customer, I replaced the item free of charge which cost me money but I was not going to make my customer suffer for UPS’s inability to deliver and photograph the item or InsureShields inability to pay out the claim that they clearly have no proof of delivery on.

I shipped a $2000 printer from the UPS…

I shipped a $2000 printer from the UPS Store and paid for them to package it and bought insurance. The machine arrived damaged and unusable. The insurance process has been a joke and so frustrating. The do everything they can not to pay out. I do not recommend them.

After a month of going back and forth…

After a month of going back and forth for almost 2 months stating they didn’t insure my package as a 3rd party insurer they finally admitted to being the insurer and then told me that due to a loophole they wouldn’t be approving my claim. This has to be the biggest scam even more than car insurance.

They delay the claim as long as…

They delay the claim as long as possible then come back with claim denied when they have all the documentation they have asked for. This is a terrible company who cannot be trusted. Why pay for insurance only to jump through hoops and still be denied when a package is lost by UPS. I will not longer be using UPS or Insureshield insurance.

Super slow and unresponsive claims…

Super slow and unresponsive claims process. Filed a claim and uploaded all required documents. Still after more than a month later, no updates. They don't give any direct contact to reach out to your adjuster except the claims portal. They state your adjuster should reach back within 48 hours...but it's been about 3 weeks and no word. Called and they said they'd have my adjuster reach out, but still no word a week after they said that. SUPER hard to get answers and communicate. I just want my claim approved after they've lost my package and I had insurance.

Terrible experience

Terrible experience, I pay for insurance on every package. One time my things get lost/removed from my package they require a ton of things, photos of the package before shipment, photos from the receiver, proof of payment, etc that isn’t said before hand.

Stay away

I ship about a dozen packages per day and I file about 1 claim every 14 days, give or take. Insure shield makes it difficult to process a claim, despite paying the premium and doing everything correctly. I make sure to take pictures of outbound items and if they arrive damaged, everything is documented. They will ask for things such as serial numbers and different angles, which is fine, but they will take 14 days to review and then respond with, "not an approved loss" and deny the claim. We will be filing a formal complaint in the next 7 days with all of our evidence.

Formal Complaint Regarding Mishandling of Claim – UPS Capital Insurance Agency, CargoEdge - AIG, and InsureShield

I am submitting this formal complaint against UPS Capital Insurance Agency, and its affiliated partners, CargoEdge - AIG and InsureShield, due to the unacceptable handling of my insurance claim and the conduct of assigned adjuster Claims Representative, Paula Lomax.

Summary of Events:
• On May 13, 2025, Ms. Lomax requested a photo of the package with the tracking label. I submitted the requested images the same day.
• On May 19, she responded that the tracking label was unclear. I again complied with a new, clearer image that day.
• A full week passed without response. On May 26, I followed up professionally to ask about the status of the claim.
• On May 27, Ms. Lomax claimed the photo was taken before shipment, which contradicts the evidence submitted that clearly shows the label on the box as received by the customer.
• I raised concerns about her lack of phone communication and requested escalation to a supervisor due to the delay and seemingly circular nature of the correspondence.
• I followed up again on June 5, as no action or clarity had been provided.
• On June 6, Ms. Lomax reiterated her request for photos I had already submitted multiple times. I asked for clarification, not understanding what additional evidence she expected.

Issues and Concerns:
1. Deliberate Delay and Lack of Responsiveness
There were repeated week-long delays between responses, and phone calls to the contact number went unanswered. This lack of communication severely impacted the timeliness of the claim process.
2. Redundant Requests and Stonewalling Tactics
The same documentation was requested multiple times, even after being submitted, raising concerns about fair treatment and transparency.
3. Refusal to Escalate or Acknowledge Compliance
Despite multiple requests, no escalation or meaningful action has been taken to review the claim impartially.
4. Bad Faith Handling
These actions raise serious concerns about bad-faith practices in processing claims, which may warrant further legal and regulatory investigation.

Requested Actions:

I respectfully request:
• A formal review of this case by an impartial agency or representative.
• Immediate resolution and claim reimbursement, as the required documentation has already been submitted.
• Oversight of UPS Capital Insurance Agency and its affiliates for adherence to consumer protection and fair claims processing standards.

This has been an unreasonably burdensome process and reflects a troubling pattern of customer mistreatment. I am bringing this complaint to the attention of all appropriate oversight agencies and consumer protection platforms to ensure accountability and avoid similar treatment for future consumers.

Sincerely,
John Maldonado
