Historien om Interflora er historien om et firma, som har formået at følge med tiden og forny sig ved løbende at tilpasse sig kundernes ønsker og behov. Der har i denne proces været en fin balance mellem tradition og fornyelse, og Interflora har gennem tiden stadig formået at værne om floristernes håndværkstradition i deres blomsterbinderier. Selv om blomsterne er Interfloras varemærke, og stadig udgør kernen i forretningen, så udvikler gavesortimentet sig støt og roligt. Men, Danskerne vil gerne give andet end blomster, og derfor tilbyder Interflora i dag også øl, vin, spiritus og chokolade samt smukke vaser til blomsterne.

Order delivered late, wrong bouquet, no text on the card

I ordered a bouquet through Interflora Denmark for international delivery on 14 February and selected expedited delivery to ensure it would arrive on time.

Instead:
- The flowers were delivered on 16 February.
- The bouquet delivered did not resemble what I ordered.
- The greeting card text was not printed.
- The recipient was not informed of the sender, and we only established four days later that the bouquet was from me.

Interflora’s explanation relied on international cut-off times, extensive terms and conditions, and the argument that local florists may substitute flowers based on availability, season, and their “interpretation of the chosen style.”

In practice, this means the selected delivery date was missed, the product did not match what was advertised, and the personal message - the essential part of the gift - was omitted.

While Customer Service responses were polite and timely, the company did not take meaningful responsibility for a clear service failure. The resolution offered did not reflect the seriousness of the issue.

This experience fell significantly below reasonable expectations for a professional international florist service. I will not be using Interflora Denmark again.

We are sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations. We understand how important both timing and the personal message are when sending flowers internationally.

As previously explained in our correspondence, international deliveries operate with a fixed cut-off time of 12:00 noon (Danish time) the day before the requested delivery date. Your order was placed on 13 February at 20:07, which was after the deadline for guaranteed delivery on 14 February.

International orders require manual coordination between Interflora’s international office and the local florist in the destination country. While the website allowed the selection of 14 February with expedited delivery, all purchases remain subject to our general terms and conditions accepted at checkout. The expedited fee ensures priority handling within operational capacity but does not override the international cut-off time, particularly during peak periods such as Valentine’s Day.

Regarding the bouquet, the product description states that each arrangement is individually created by a local florist using seasonal availability, and variations from the image must therefore be expected.

We regret that the overall experience did not meet your expectations, even though our customer service team handled the case in accordance with the applicable terms.

Great products, but poor customer service experience

I have always been very satisfied with Interflora’s service and their lovely packaging. However, my experience today with their customer support was incredibly disappointing.

The representative I spoke with seemed to have zero interest in helping me, which is a real shame given how positive my previous experiences have been.

Great flowers, but the support side definitely needs more focus on the customer.
