I paid a renewal fee of around $25 (I think), but this company has also billed me a further $85 (or thereabouts). They are supposed to have a live chat facility but, for the life of me, I cannot find it anywhere on their website! I no longer have faith in this company and, when I am finally able to speak to someone from their billing dept to demand a full refund of both subscription fees, I will be uninstalling this product!! 🤬
UPDATE...
Managed to get a link from an advisor that let me view my subscriptions, but lo and behold, they don't do refunds, so I'm stuck with this program for another year, and will no doubt be auto-renewed, as per several other users' experience.
UPDATE (2)...
IOLO responded to my review on the 1st of December - 28 days later, I have yet to receive a response to the direct message I sent them. I can therefore only conclude that this is a disreputable company, with absolutely no interest in customer satisfaction. Once my (unwanted) system renewal expires, this company's software will be permanently removed from my computer.

System Mechanic is one awesome software as I don't care what kind of problem I am having with my PC, using System Mechanic will fix it and make everything back to working normal again.

The software of System Mechanic is very good. Good product. HOWEVER...on a recent promotion you get a $19 a month extra fee for live tech support added onto the promotion. IOLO clearly stated you can remove this cost by calling them. It is like pulling teeth to get them to drop that fee. This is not the first issue I have had with customer service. I know nothing of their technical support. Just customer service is a high level sell operation. Buyer beware.

excellent services from all the techs and customer service.

When I purchased Iolo VPN, I did not realise that it was going to be automatically renewed, and the renewal has come at a time when I really cannot afford that money, having been a victim of a scam. Iolo was unrelenting - they cancelled the automatic renewal but not the current one that I have been charged for. So I will be advising ALL of my existing clients (over 500 in total) NEVER to buy from Iolo and when my subscription to System Mechanic expires, I will find a more reputable/helpful company to deal with.

I've been a Suppport.com customer for many years. But since it became Iolo, service has gone down hill. I bought the VPN program and the program works sometimes. It's been out for 3 days and I haven't been able to get anyone to fix it. I call at 3 am and I'm on hold for over 30 minutes. I speak to a bot on their website with the promise of a call back, which never happens.

Charged my bank account to renew the service after having closed the account over a year ago. My account didn't even show up enough to log in or search for a "forgotten password" When I attempted to sign up a new account to address the fraudulent charges, it said that email was already in use. Contacted the online rep who was rude, condescending, mocking and basically told me to cry to someone else. Customer service is a joke, the program doesn't work as advertised. Getting ahold of customer service took 4 hours of sitting on the phone after the negative response from their online chat. Program bogs down the system, and caused problems in the registry. Worked poorly with Windows 11. Do not recommend. Total nightmare

I have used system mechanic for 10+ years. The Byepass+ is horrible!!!!!! It only open fullscreen!!! The previous versiom had a compact version!!!! You cannot copy and paste like the old one!!! It is NOT user friendly!!! Does not function like the old one!!
I am totally disappointed with the new version. Would like to switch back to the old version OR make thisw one work!!!!!!!!!

Prefer the install CD the download is a pain if i need to redo my computer or add a new HDD it needs to be downloaded agai. such a hassle

though i really like Sys Mech I prefer the CD version best. it's easier to install and if i ever need to upgrade or make changes to my system all i have to do is put the cd in my drive.

Shady practices. This is the company that sells Iolo System Mechanic. I have previously turned off autorenewal in the past and I keep getting billed every year. There is no way to delete my credit card info from their site. In addition to that the software license is good for 10 devices is really only good for 10 activations. So if you uninstall and reinstall that counts as 1 use. I have just been auto renewed for $80 and cannot even use the product. To make it worse I had originally purchased my key in 2020 and have not received a new one upon renewal. To top it off customer support is also telling me they cannot remove the no longer used activations from the account.
