Lack of basic manners

Unfortunately, my first experience with this firm was a negative one. I regularly work with many solicitor firms to progress matters and have always maintained positive and cooperative relationships. However, on this occasion, Collette made it clear that she would only speak to agents “if she had to” and that agents were not relevant to the exchange and completion process.

Whilst I understand that agents can sometimes be perceived as overly persistent, this was simply my first call to confirm receipt of instructions. In the current challenging market, it is disappointing that not all parties wish to work collaboratively towards the same goal.

On a Sunday

On a Sunday! Asead Yakoob, the partner dealing with property conveyancing, answered calls and sent emails on a Sunday. Our transaction went over the Christmas and New Year period and Jacobs Law were available throughout and thoroughly professional at all times. I think that using Jacobs Law saved us over a month. I only had to visit their offices on one occasion so it didn't really matter that they were 200 miles away in Birmingham. Their offices are easy to find/ get to and the staff friendly. There is some limited parking at the offices.
