Cannot print what they advertise
Extremely disappointed with Jam Jar. I was very hopeful at the start - the website looks good, they advertise a large selection of business cards, and the sample pack came quickly. I saw the notice "Order in the next 43 minutes to get your order by August 16" and "Order now for guaranteed delivery" so went ahead and paid up front, as requested. When the agreed date came and went, and there was no sign of my cards or news from the courier, I phoned and was told they could not possibly print the cards as they had to wait for other firms to place an order using the same card I had chosen. I pointed out they advertise precisely the quantity I had ordered on the website, and there was no mention of other firms having to place the same order, nor had I been told this when I was discussing my order with a member of staff (I had had a long conversation before ordering) - but this made no difference. When I asked when another firm might place a similar order, they said they had no idea. I asked about the other card I had considered, and they said it would be the same case for that card too. In other words, they CANNOT guarantee delivery at all, nor can they guarantee they can even print at all. They take money up front for a product they cannot supply. I have asked for an explanation of why they misrepresent this on their website, pointing out it contravenes the Consumer Rights Act 2015. The salesman I spoke to said he was unaware of the problem, and I asked for him to pass the issue on to the MD. I have still received no reply/explanation from the MD. I have received a refund, but it is not good enough. I did not enter the contract for an open-ended arrangement that may never happen. Do not trust that they can deliver what you order. Do not pay up front. And be prepared to have no idea when your order will be printed. Shocking service.
