Total mess and low quality service

On my first visit, I requested for a big car as a rental car as my car could be in the workshop for a week. This was very important for me due to safety and comfort. So I called and double checked this with them and they promised a BMW 5 series as a loaner.
When I delivered my car, they told me that they only have Mini as a loaner!
They told me there is no other car available at all and there is nothing they can do. I refused and asked for another appointment, this is where they suddenly "found" a BMW 3 series for me.

This time, I wanted to purchase new tyres for my car, Michellin PS5. Other workshops told me they don't provide this tyres through BMW, and if I want I can get it from other providers for 10.000kr+. However, they told me that they can have PS5 next week for 9.030kr with star branding from BMW.

I was so glad that I double checked many times both with the reserve shop and the workshop to ensure it is PS5 on the offer.

So on the day, after waiting for 2 hours, I get the car and I see that they installed PS4 tyres. To make it worst, the tyres look dirty, old with sand on them. Looking really unprofessional. Mind you they are overcharging by 3000kr because they are BMW.

After lots of back and force I decided to ask them to put my old tyres on so I can take my business elsewhere. where this also took another 2 hours to get the message through as they wanted me to come another day for this. So after being there for 4 hours and totally exhausted at the end I decided jsut to keep this tyres at a discounted rate, which is still more expensive than if I did it elsewhere.

2 stars because they still nice and trying to find a solution. but given the problems and low quality of their services, I can't recommend it to anyone.

Coolant hoses for turbos on BMW M550I…

Coolant hoses for turbos on BMW M550I G30 2017 are changed for new updated ones that can dure/take the heat according to certified BMW technician and BMW doesn’t show any courtesy even though the original hoses according to BMWs own technician in the video published on youtupe explains that the original hoses are being changed for an updated version that can dure/take the heat and last - as the old original BMW ones can’t. This is not BMW quality so think again before buying one.

Answer to Jan Nygaard feedback the 12-10-2022:
Correct we had a conversation on phone but have never accepted this matter is solved to my or think BMWs satisfaction, so don’t understand your answer here – it is not, correct?
Depending on whom I have talked with on phone or by the desk or via e-mail I get different messages on whom is responsible to clarify this matter so still very much confused and in no way satisfied on how this matter has been handled or actually think not handled.

Took 9 months to deliver the wrong car, and wouldn't fix the problem.

Ordered a car. Waiting 9 months for it. I was given the wrong color (error acknowledged by product specialist). After waiting 9 months I was inclined to accept it in lieu of waiting another 9 months, however regretted it after a few days and tried to return it. The salesperson then argued that it was indeed the correct color (serious doublethinking), citing a reference to the color in the "optional equipment" section of the purchase agreement (this was explained to me as tinting for the headlights, not paint). The invoice clearly states the color higher up in the agreement. Rather than admit the error, the salesperson did everything he could to fight the claim. This was not what I was expecting from my first BMW experience, and will likely make it my last one.

BMW i4 Order - Great Service - Jan. Nygaard - Michael Wahl

I have received help from Michael Wahl while selecting and ordering my car.

I am very detail oriented, had too many questions and want to know all the details. During our multiple meetings, he both helped me all the time with all my questions at the same time he was always very kind supportive and sincere.

I would recommend to get in touch with Michael if you want great service and sincere friendship.

Responsibility and service are unknown concepts here...

The relationship between service and price at Jan Nygaard a/s is inversely proportional like no other place on the planet.

After having waited for a wobbling 128 minutes on the phone, I decided it was faster to drive the 100 km to the store, than keep waiting on the phone. The teenager at the front desk insinuated I had called a wrong number, while her college (less discretely than she would have probably liked), answered and hung up my call... And obviously they couldn’t help me with my problem, since the spare part department had just closed 5 minute ago... Too bad, and have a nice weekend...

It all began with a few car manufacturers…

It all began with a few car manufacturers on the checklist and a few models in total, potential candidates for leasing. Primarily I was looking for 5-door middle size hatchback. The medium-premium segment seemed a nice choice but surprisingly BMW was not in my list from the beginning, I thought (naive-ly) that I'd be off-budget for me. After checking new VW Golf prices, equipment and options, I found out that the BMW 1-series was a very good competitor and BMW entered definitely into the list of "possible leasings"
Keeping it short... nothing beat the service we received at Jan Nygaard AS. The first day was a test drive and discussion of leasing terms, options, etc around a BMW 1 series, and I left their facilities with a very nice impression. I gave two more weeks to myself to think about it and try different cars, but the dealers weren't so costumer-oriented, or maybe I did not catch them in their best day, as Michael Held Carlsen. I could assume that any other dealer at BMW Jan Nygaard would have been the same, but I can only talk about facts.
Michael followed and guided us through the process and answered all of our questions (believe me that my girlfriend had many I was glad she made)
Perhaps the negative point in all this is that we did not place the order at the end, unfortunately some other needs popped up and despite the will and how excited we were about the car, it was not the right time for us to lease a car. Perhaps in the future when the time is right again we'll lease a car and in such a case at least we already know which is our safe bet with Jan Nygaard AS.

Ridiculously expensive and sneaky

Ridiculously expensive and sneaky

I came with a relatively easy task - opening a locking wheel bolt, which had been tightened to hard and broken the key tool when I tried to open it. Even if you don't have the tools to open it, it should be possible to drill it out in max 20min for any mechanic.

Somehow I sensed that this would be an expensive visit already when entering the 'welcome area', greeted by two blonde girls in their 20s who's main task it seemed to look good and otherwise use their time on social media. I was asked to wait in the 'lounge' where I found another woman in front of an Italian coffee machine, offering me a coffee and newspapers. Also the light blue shirt guys, looking like the Goldman Sachs trading board in the back of the 'lounge' didn't help with my expensive gut feeling.

After an hour, another black-dressed blonde came to hand me the key to my car. She obviously had no idea what the invoiced amount would be, so one of the shirt-guys was consulted. He could not answer that very unexpected question either, so he had to use his headset to call the workshop. After 5min, he had found out that the wheel bolt they had to replace would cost some 150DKK incl. tax. Great, but what about the time they had used? Again, that was an unexpected question and another call to the workshop was needed and a worksheet had to be picked up. That worksheet showed 20min for the wheel bolt work, 15min because of late arrival and 15min to check for some oil leakage from the engine area.
20min for the bolt - ok, I guess. 15min for late arrival? I hadn't been late. 15min for oil leakage check? They had not even removed the plastic cover under the engine, so how on earth could they check the oil leak? Anyway, they claimed that it wasn't that bad and certainly not urgent. In another work shop, I later found out that the oil sump had a crack and had to be replaced. Catastrophic engine failure would have occurred if it had ruptured during operation.

So, 20min for the repair, 35min useless time spend or wrongly invoiced. Now, for this almost one hour incl the 150DKK for the bolt: 2.500 DKK. Seriously, I can hire a good lawyer for less than that hourly amount!!

Anyway, via email I told them I would like to see the work sheet again (I knew the actual repair had taken 20min) and an information about their hourly mechanic rates. I got the answer that it had taken one hour and no info regarding the rates.

I asked again but never got an answer. Instead, a debt collection lawyer now claimed 3000 DKK.

I have no idea how they can stay in business treating customers like that but I guess it's mainly company cars where the drivers don't care about the price but appreciate the blondes and the coffee.

Never again!!
