JDT utilities have been absolutely…

JDT utilities have been absolutely terrible.
We had a beautiful porcelain tiled patio at the front of our house.
Because of the new regulations our gas meter had to be fitted outside rather than inside our house.
But in order to do the works they had to remove numerous amount of tiles to get to the pipes.
They absolutely destroyed our patio.
2 months later they are still haggling with contractors to lay a new patio.
Meanwhile we are left with a load of rubble and mess.
They are making my life a misery and causing a lot of stress.

You have to hope these utility vehicles…

You have to hope these utility vehicles don't arrive in a neighbourhood near you to replace gas pipes as they will be there for a minimum 3 months. You will have to put up with a lot of street furniture, temporary traffic lights and porta-cabins and people wandering around the streets, utility vehicles parked outside your house, and when they are done they will leave open holes and disappear in the afternoons until the permit expires and they move on to another area and there is nothing you can do about it unless you're an engineer experienced with council street works. Good luck with having them in your neighbourhood.

Cutting Corners

This company is a subcontract operation for SGN, our Gas Network company in SE9. They have been contracted by SGN to replace our metal pipe supply with new plastic PE pipes.
The schedule of work for householders has been very unreliable with promised, notified dates and times for work being repeatedly changed/missed at the last moment causing many neighbours extra costs and delays with reconnection of their gas supply.
Additionally, I have discovered that they have failed to fulfill their contracted/paid work from SGN to install new Gas Bond wiring (Earth Connections along with the new copper pipework) where gas meters have required moving from inside our properties to an external box.
I have had to repeatedly contact SGN and the JDT support team, who are doing their best, to obtain clarification and agreement on both the gas bond issue and correct reinstatement of my driveway.
The original engineering team thought that the spoil of clay, geotextile, MOT2, and sand that they dug out could be shovelled back into the access hole and covered up.
They have had to remove ALL the old spoil from the hole so that a reinstatement team can make a proper repair correctly layering and compacting in the proper way.
As I type this a very angry fellow from the original engineering team is having to remove the spoil he put back in the hole, ready for his colleagues to reinstate my driveway tomorrow. Once he left we carried out the extra 5% required that ensures the grounds are ready.
All this aggravation for customers and employees could be avoided if all JDT's teams endeavoured to do a proper, thorough, efficient job in the first place?
