Decent Delivery Times, TERRIBLE Product Details

Quick Delivery times if they ACTUALLY have the product you actually want.

I've had two orders and both times of ordering they instantly tell me the item(s) is/are out of stock, so why don't they clearly state on each product if they have it in stock, so it prevents them from having to deal with issues with their customers.

It would save hassle of both myself and the business, and anyone else who is experiencing the same thing, so please fix this ridiculous time-wasting problem

The site is purely setup to scam students…

The site is purely setup to scam students. Students are allocated some of their student fees they paid their university each year as money to spend only at johnsmith.co.uk and affiliates.

So instead of students paying less in university fees , and therefore less interest on that money, they are given restricted money that can only be spent on this site. All students would agree it would be better to pay less fees and use the money on things they actually need from wherever they wish to purchase it.

This site is overpriced (~%20+ above retail), the postage is overpriced (£10+ for small items), the delivery is slow and the customer service non existent.

This practise of giving students a restricted form of their own money back to them, instead of reducing university fees and long term interest, to line the pockets of johnsmith.co.uk should be illegal.

Worst company ever!

Worst company ever!! Must get Government kickbacks. Over-priced mis-labelled and a complete scam. Most goods can be sourced at 20% of the cost elsewhere, and is described correctly. I think we need to look into these criminals!!!! If it wasn't pre-loaded with funds I'd never contemplate using them for anything.

This is the worst company I have ever…

This is the worst company I have ever ordered from, they don't seem to have any knowledge of the consumer rights act and they lie about the condition of goods to get out of refunding.

Ordered a laptop from this atrocious company and as soon as I turned it on I realised it was google OS. Turned it right back off, my dear old Nan however, had already thrown away the box that it came in. Never mind, I ordered a replacement box and sent it back for a refund as it wasn't what I wanted. Baring in mind, the laptop had literally been turned on, that was it.

Refused to refund the £700, said I had no right to a refund and kept quoting their own refund policy and didn't acknowledge my rights under the consumer rights act (they didn't have any knowledge of it) asked them to bin it and I'll take it to the ombudsman as they are acting unlawfully and they still ignored me and sent it back despite saying I didn't want it!

Awful company, DO NOT USE!

Terrible website

Terrible website. I ordered a iPad which I desperately needed for uni work with my bursary funds, it still hadnt been delivered after a month and I still don’t have it. You can’t take your bursary funds elsewhere so the company know full well your stuck with them. Like many other companies they have used the covid excuse but the same iPad is in stock freely at curry’s, Amazon, Argos and smaller sellers in town have them to. If I had the physical cash I could of had it on the day I received the bursary. It’s had a knock on effect with my learning as I’ve had no equipment to use during my face to face lectures. I have another £350 to spend with them next year and am thinking I’ll not bother as the service is so terrible

OK, OVER PRICED

Ordered through my university website link, and cannot fault it enough. I ordered 6 books, and two folders in total. I had three separate deliveries for them all, which was the only downfall. However all arrived within a week!

Some books had little creases in the corners, surprised because these are brand new, and they charge rideculous amounts for a book. Before you do buy a book on here.. check worldofbooks.co.uk for the same book which you can grab for half the price!

AVOID THESE USELESS TOSSERS LIKE THE CORONA VIRUS

This company advertised a book for sale that I was looking for and seemed to be unavailable everywhere else.

just to confirm that it was available I phoned the customer service line (023 8067 1069) and spoke to the sales rep (Gabriella) and had a lengthy conversation about the availability of the book as I'm sick to death of web-based companies advertising goods they don't have.

Sure enough I went ahead and placed the order online, paid for the goods and received the confirmation order.

Several hours later I received another email from them stating that the book was no longer available from the publisher and they would be issuing a refund!

Why? as in, why not establish if an item (book or anything else) is available for purchase BEFORE they advertise it??

That way, it saves me time and efforts calling them, placing the order and paying for the goods up front (in good faith) and then being told 'sorry, we can't supply what we're advertising. you can have a refund'.

Total tossers. Avoid this company like the corona virus.

Racist company

I bought a Apple iPod did not get delivered therefore I had been in contact with John smith. They had asked me to email across my Id passport etc to see my signature. Therefor so screenshot just the signature and they told me that they needed to see the whole Passport like I’m a criminal. However I explained to them that my passport is confidential and I did not want my personal details being sent across and not deposed of correctly.

So I sent another copy and within the same day I was told due to me not responding on their terms that they will not put the claim through.
They can see that the signatures do not match but yet as soon as they have seen a black person in the ID they were quick to shut me down and not even investigate the loss of item and my money.

Nothing but racist I paid 399 for an item that I do not have and yet they have done nothing to contact the pracel force driver who must have signed the document on his own behalf.

This company do not have clients insterest they are all about money and I will be seeking compensation on these racist nasty sad individuals it sickens me that
