We are not a typical furniture store. In fact, we do virtually everything differently. We receive and process clearance stock from traditional retailers. Retailers send us clearance stock for many reasons. We receive photography samples, end-of-line stock, cancelled orders. This stock is sorted, quality checked, photographed and uploaded to our website. As our name suggests, we were founded in 2019 by Joseph and James. After leaving school at 18, they launched the company from a dilapidated basement unit in a Stockport mill with just 5 sofas. The popularity of their discounted branded sofas and rapid delivery model facilitated strong growth. Joseph and James have always sought to do things differently from the incumbent outlets. This began by being the first furniture outlet to host a website which showed their live stock and was available to be ordered immediately by customers. Joseph and James don't wish to be just another furniture outlet, they want to be the biggest furniture outlet. They want to have a nationwide presence of large showrooms which offer a unique furniture shopping experience.

Maybe the best customer service I’ve ever had?
I went to furniture village, found the table we want, and by luck stumbled upon Joseph James, who had the exact table in stock. The photos looked different to what I had seen in person, so within the hour they sent me pictures and videos.
After a helpful WhatsApp chat, I ordered. The service after that is also top notch. Fast delivery, a full video for quality control BEFORE sending.
Cannot fault it, this will be my go to for furniture for a long time. I’ve recommended to tonnes of people already.

EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE
Beautiful large showroom - we went on a monday morning and had the showroom almost to ourselves. The staff left us to have a good look around before asking if we needed help. We chose our sofa - and found some dining chairs to add to our order. We later added a new table by telephone and all were delivered on time by polite and helpful staff. We really appreciated the messages keeping us informed about our order. Brilliant service all round!

From the moment we walked in Sarah made us feel welcome and let us browse for a short time before expertly showing us around the mattresses and explained all the details.
