We visited the watford branch on sunday…

We visited the watford branch on sunday April 26 2026 for a birthday lunch, and the experience was amazing! Their website only had option for a table for 9, but we called and they agreed to provide a table for 16 people. They let us bring in our own cake and the staff was nice when we requested to extend our reservation start time by 15mins as a few members of our party was running late.
As per the food, I had gone in there with a lot of misgivings following the not-so-nice reviews about the food I saw online, but I'm glad to say I was pleasantly surprised! The food options was abundant so there was something for everyone, we were all full to bursting by the time we left there. I highly recommend and would definitely re-visit!

Not worth the visit or price

Today I visited Wembley branch. I have previously visited other branches and had a lovely time with my family so today was very disappointing.
The majority of the cutlery/dishes were dirty with smears of food or pieces no matter where I got it from.
The pasta bar was closed.
The food selection and quality compared to Croydon JRC. Items that had place settings were empty bowls.
The duck was fridge cold, the lamb ribs were mostly fat and sickening.
The bar service was appalling. Table service was not available so I was instructed to order for cocktails. I ordered two cocktails and was told 5-6 minutes. 6 minutes later the first cocktail was done, i took it to my table and when i returned for the second it was still being made. There were 2 men behind the bar, yet the one making the drink id been waiting almost 10 minutes for paused to handle the transaction. Whilst he was making my purple rain he poured a clearish liquid from a weathered Buxton/water bottle. When I asked what it was and why it wasn’t in the original bottle, I was told it is syrup and they make it themselves. Back to the theme of cleanliness he did not wash his hands between handling money and my drink.

No food!!

Visited Wembley this evening, have been to other venues in this chain expected the same level of options and quality. No food was available in the buffet!!!! What little there was was dry from sitting under heat lamps.

While waiting for my partner and kids to get their food and before realising there was nothing to actually plate up I some refill glasses from the bar. My partner and kids returned empty handed from the buffet so i asked for a refund. The restaurant would not refund the unused drink glasses at £16 and would only refund the meal in cash despite paying on card.

We visited with our family

We visited with our family, including two toddlers, and had a mixed experience.

The service staff were kind and accommodating and even prepared a simple pasta with tomato sauce for our baby, which we appreciated.

Unfortunately, the manager at reception, Lipin, made us feel uncomfortable. We were not informed of a one-hour dining limit, and while I was feeding my toddler (as she just woke up) , he approached us saying we were taking up too much space and needed to be considerate, as we had been there for some time — even though the restaurant was completely empty.

As a family with young children, this felt embarrassing and unwelcoming. Because of this, we lost our appetite and did not had dessert. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this restaurant for families, especially those with children who need time to eat.

Disgusting attitude & cold food

I made a visit today with my partner & 3 young sons. Firstly we tryed numerous times to book online so on Thursday children go half price. It didn't allow us too so I thought I would speak with someone there, but unfortunately I was met with "I don't care attitude" it was so bad that I went to retaliate and could not as my children was standing there and they have enjoyed numerous previous visits we have had there over the years. I said gently luckily I have enough money on me or I would be made to look silly infront of my family, her shrug of the shoulders told me all I needed to know & after the disgusting attitude I got less than 60 secound before, I bit my tongue. We was then 5 steps into walking in when someone with a black t shirt with staff written on the back told us to stop like there was fire and my children looked panicked. No sooner did he then say follow me, so I said any chance you can sit us somewhere quiet as my youngest son has autism. This was Completely ignored & he seated us with 100+ people around us, although there was another 200 seats elsewhere. To make things worse I didn't finish one plate of the couple I tryed as the food was slightly warm at best, then fir an hour we had chairs pushing Into ours where they have crammed it all so tight to allow more tables, so after spending just shy of £130. I'm still hungry and none of us e joyed yourselfs through being knocked by other people's chairs around us!!!!! I tryed to find a member of staff to speak to someone about getting a refund to which I could not find anyone. Not happy at all.

Avoid these false advertising scammers

Avoid these false advertising scammers! We saw the JRC website which states a 1 hour 30 minute time restriction for their buffet. We contacted the Wembley branch and were assured that everything was halal. The time restriction seemed reasonable so we (a party of 9) drove all the way to Wembley.

When we arrived at JRC, we were told that we would only be permitted 60 minutes (instead of 1 hour and 30 minutes) to eat despite what it said on their website and despite the sign that was literally etched into the glass of their door.

Through their false advertising these scammers wasted our time, our fuel and our parking cost. Rather than be scammed by their false advertising we walked out and went to Afrikaner instead (I will post a review of Afrikaner later) where the food was good.

If JRC tries to scam you by imposing a 60 minute limit, do yourself a favour and walk out of JRC and into Afrikaner.

A complete letdown. Go some place else.

Unfortunately, I cannot give this zero stars.

This was honestly one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. The food was well below mediocre. It was bland, cold, and completely lacking in flavour. Many of the cuisines advertised, such as Lebanese, Greek, Brazilian, and French, weren’t even available. What was on offer tasted uninspired and poorly prepared.

We hoped the desserts might redeem the experience, but unfortunately, they were just as disappointing. The ice cream had no real flavour, the ice pops tasted like plain ice, and nothing tasted nice or enjoyable.

Even the fizzy drinks were watered down to the point that you could barely tell what they were meant to be.

Overall, a truly underwhelming experience. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for quality, variety, or even basic taste.

Such a horrendous experience

Such a horrendous experience! it was my fourth times to visit there, my dinner and day has been ruined by the security just for a table change. I couldn't finish my dinner. Even the manager is not very helpful while I was telling him about it. I can't believe there service has gone that worst down. I took one of my friends who never had global buffet experience before and now I feel ashamed of taking him there. The food was cold not properly presented. there was no waiter or assistance to look for anything. I had to struggle to find the manager to give my feedback. my food got cold , I am insulted in front of my friends just because of a table change. TABLE is more important to them than CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Overpriced, Cold Food, and Low-Quality Desserts

We visited JRC Global Buffet in Wembley for a family evening out and it was a complete disappointment. My 14-year-old was charged the full £25 adult price simply because she was taller than their height restriction – very unfair.
Most of the food was cold, and the variety was extremely limited. The dessert section was poor and very low quality – part of the “choice” was just digestive biscuits, custard creams, and bourbon biscuits. The ice cream section was more or less empty, and the chocolate fondue machine (heavily advertised) wasn’t even switched on.
On top of that, when we bought drinks at the bar (with no table service), we were charged a 20p “service charge” on top of the £4 menu price – despite serving ourselves.
We left hungry and extremely disappointed. Definitely not worth the money, and I would not recommend this branch at all.

Illford branch

Illford branch. Really nice food, big selection to choose from, I enjoyed it and I can be a little fussy in what I eat. The deal of buy one get one free on unlimited drinks is a great offer, I would defiantly come again!

I went to JRC global buffet today for the first time in Wembley. For what I paid was not worth it. The food was cold and for a buffet their was not much choice regarding starters! Ive been to better buffets where the food is hot. My daughter was looking forward to eating Sushi she was disappointed because everything was bland.

disability discrimination at its finest

I booked a table for 5 - 2 adults and 3 children, one of whom is disabled and has a restrictive diet, meaning they do not eat. When it came to paying as you enter, I was shocked to be asked to pay adult prices for my 10-year-old daughter simply because she was over 150cm, despite clearly being a child. Even worse, They wanted to charge me for my disabled nephew who wouldn't have eaten anything anyway.
Policies like this are unreasonable and feel discriminatory towards both families with tall children and those with disabilities. Height does not define age, and charging for a child who physically doesn't eat is unacceptable.
We left feeling frustrated and unfairly treated and ended up eating elsewhere. I would urge other families, especially those with children who have disabilities or dietary restrictions, to clarify the policy before booking
- and I hope management rethinks this approach.
Manager was also VERY unhelpful, says the company are doing away with all these "excuses" and reasons not to pay

The worst food I have ever had.

The worst food I’ve ever had.
My experience was at the Wembley branch.
Not only was the food tasteless, but the service was also very poor.

We were allowed to book a table at 8:00 PM, with a time limit of 1 hour and 30 minutes. However, when we arrived, most of the food trays were nearly empty and were not restocked. We were then informed that the food stations would close at 9:00 PM. We didn’t even get to finish our meal properly.

The only reason I gave 1 star is because I couldn’t give 0 or a negative rating. They don’t even deserve 1 star.

Mediocre food

For £28 I was hoping for a better experience. Food was mediocre at best, not really tasty at all, sushi wasn’t pleasant, I’ve had better from Aldi. The desserts were awful, the cream tasted synthetic and very unpleasant. However service was good, very eager to clear plates away and restaurant looked clean and tidy.

Limited time

Visited the Croydon branch today30th March. Was charged £28 per adult and children £14 (£70 total). Was met with a surprise notification at the door that we only have 1 hour and 15 minutes to eat. When I queried this, they said they were very busy today. On the website it states you have a minimum of 1 hour and 45 minutes with reservations. Without a reservation, 1 hour and 30 minutes, clearly breaching their own policy - a deduction of 15 minutes from the time paid for eating at this restaurant.

Food review – the quality of the food was very poor and definitely not worth £28. The VIP tickets stated it includes a “drink” yet we were told we were not entitled to one. The VIP buffet which consists of Roast beef or lamb shank was very underwhelming. The lamb shank was rubbery and tasteless. I felt like a grizzly bear trying to sink my teeth into this rubbery meat. Eventually, I gave up. The food consists of cheaply made Chinese or Asian food mass produced. The desserts (although well crafted ) were tasteless and didn’t live up to it’s presentation. I’ve been to restaurants that are relatively cheaper, and the quality of the food is far better.

Overall, by the time you have sat down to eat your food and digest your stomach, you are being rushed out of the restaurant door. Would I visit again definitely not.
