Horrible cigar condition and customer service
I purchased a box of cigars online and unfortunately received them in extremely poor condition—they were dry, hard as a rock, and completely unsmokable.
I even packed them with Boveda packs in sealed bags while traveling to Fiji, hoping they would recover, but that didn’t help. I tried a few and they were still terrible.
When I contacted customer service, I was only offered a 50% refund. I challenged that, given the condition of the product, and the representative ended the call abruptly.
Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. Based on the product quality and the way the issue was handled, I would not purchase from this company again and would caution others to be careful.

Horrible customer service. Data grabbing scam site needing your ID and biometrics and all the crap to get an order through. Of course they only tell you this AFTER you've paid.

Absolute worst customer service I have…
Absolute worst customer service I have ever had. I've ordered thousands of dollars of cigars from them and this time when I placed an order that was a back order priced at$42, I called about it and was told they would not guarantee the price when my order shipped. That I would have to pay whatever price it was marked when it came back in stock. That and their prices have doubled in the last year on the value jr alternative cigars, which have placed them higher than anyone else in the knockoff market. Won't be ordering from them again.

I was a loyal and consistent customer since 1995! Always had great prices, excellent customer service and quality cigars. ALL THAT CHANGED about three years ago... Why? My guess is new management.... Lew must be rolling over in his after life. Now I go faithfully to a few other online companies.

Website advertised 20 cigars and only sent 10. They said typo. Meanwhile the site still advertises as 20. My price was effectively double and customer service wouldn’t do a dam thing.

The Loyalty program is terrible, points expire, they send you coupons for Bday and Anniversay that you can only use on high priced premium cigars

Chasing Refund. Avoid.
Sent the completely wrong cigars, then had to jump through hoops to try and return them. They eventually ghosted me without ever providing me a return label. Chasing a refund via PayPal. Would never recommend.

I was a customer for 3 years.. main reason I joined was due to there reward program. Like most I order on my phone and dont see all the tabs regarding reward points.. over time you gained 2600 points only to lose 2000 of them few days later. No where does it say on the website that they expire in 90 days.. I was trying to get enough to make an order on my favorite cigar and buy a few boxes.. I called and they wouldn't give back the points and explained i had to open a tab and search for rewards .. ill never return as a customer.

Useless Company
The company screwed up shipping, and it had to be rerouted to them in transit, and then they refused to ship another order out to correct the mistake. They billed at the point of sale and when I cancelled the order they expect to receive their package back before issuing credit back for the transaction, which was then another lengthy period. Not worth your time.

it started when they changed the cigars they market as alternatives. The new ones are far worse than the previous. Of course they are the same price at first and raised price several times. I smoke a bundle or so per week. No longer will I buy from JR. I recently sent a review to them and they refuse to print it. They now put out discount codes and I find they don't work on alternatives. It used to be you could use the discount codes and get alternatives for under $3 per stick. Now they raised the price, lowered they quality, and the discounts don,t apply. No longer worth it. I suggest going somewhere else. JR clearly knows of the publics disdain for their "new" company and they simply don't care.
So what is going on at JR!
So what is going on at JR? They send coupons that you can only use on high end cigars, they have raised prices, shipping can be hit or miss. Now Loyalty points expire???? I have been. Customer for 20 years but time to go elsewhere.
The Worst, As Usual
As always, the worst experience possible. I don't know why I have not learned my lesson yet.This time I ordered a box of cigars. The box arrived empty. I called customer service and they really don't care. It should be called Customer non-service. I truly believe they are running some type of scam operation. I encourage every single one of you to boycott JR and utilize any and other cigar retailer in the universe.
Watch Out! Online Ordering Difficulties. Inflexible. Unresponsive.
Sure online ordering is usually with little or NO issues. However, once you want to change OR cancel and perhaps re-order, LOOK OUT! I'm speaking within 12-15 hrs ordering and placed time wise essentially overnight. Come on! Live chat doesn't accommodate this kind of transaction. You must call their customer service people. And then, you have to continue to wait until this person gets in touch with the warehouse. What an inconvenient pain. Why does this have to be so difficult? Jury is out. We'll see if they honor my request. March 6 UPDATE: Well, they didn't honor my change or order cancellation order request, as the customer service person had said that they would. Nor did they follow up and call me as promised. Order's NOT CANCELLED as per my request. It was shipped out, all within a reasonable time period that they could have. I'm done with JR Cigars.
