Excellent experience
I had my vehicle serviced recently, I found the staff pleasant and easy to deal with, they also kept me advised as to any issues and suggested appropriate solutions. Very confident in their level of service.

Technician drilled holes into my car!
Bought a brand new car from JT Hughes 18 months ago, and very recently had the need to replace my number plate. On removing the old one I found that instead of using the manufacturer's pre-installed threaded inserts to screw the number plate on, they instead just drilled 2 holes straight through the number plate into the rear panel of the car, destroying the carefully applied paint and anti-corrosion layers that hyundai apply to cars!
And after several weeks of trying to get a response from their after sales department, I am told that this is actually a common practice for them to just drill into the car to screw them on!
They have said they will pay for a bodyshop to repair the damage, but of course my car will never be quite the same.
***Update - Had the car fixed at my local Hyundai bodyshop and JT Hughes paid for the repair in full, and have since promised me that the practice of drilling holes into the car for number plates where there are pre-existing threads will not happen aagin, so hopefully this is the case

Great service from Kia Newtown sales staff.
The sales staff at KIA Newtown were very helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. The sales staff member gave good advice regarding our purchase. All the paperwork including vehicle tax was completed on our behalf, and everything explained in a clear and concise manner. We felt that they were trustworthy and are pleased in the knowledge that they are more than happy to contact them if any problems arise with the vehicle.

Deposit on holding a vehicle
A complaint against one of your employees at your Hyundai Shrewsbury branch in the name of Paul, for falsely informing us of any deposit being made against a car purchase reservation was fully refundable even if I changed my mind?
On 27/10/23 Me & my partner visited your Shrewsbury branch
After we showed interest in a car Paul asked if we would like to place a holding deposit against the car ?after stating we need to go away and make sure we can get the loan we want to buy the car as it was a much lower interest rate than what was offered by Hunyadi ? I said I was unsure about leaving a deposit until we know? He quickly reassured me & my partner that the deposit was fully refundable even if we changed our minds. This was also clearly repeated by Paul when we were invited inside to take further details including a part ex valuation.
When I returned to the dealership and spoke again with Paul we both decided to apply for finance with the Hyundai dealership themselves? Some confusion at this point, Paul came back saying finance was declined with Honda? And said I can try again with Hyundai finance? I was very confused as to why Honda was anything to do with a Hyundai dealership but again agreed to this!
It wasn’t till later that evening I was informed by txt message from mobile in the name of Paul saying the finance was accepted the following day on 28/10/23 We had an agreement we would go ahead with the sale on 04/11/23
On 01/11/23
I informed Paul by txt message reply that I no longer want to go ahead with the sale due to financial concerns with my wages being paid in my new job and it was my first months pay, so I worry it is likely to happen again and not have enough money to cover the payments.
Pauls reply wasn’t great, Paul quickly highlighted.. the problem he has now, is he’s had to pay for road tax, on another car for himself to use because of this agreement, “this is a genuine issue for us” Can you put the finance in your partners name instead?
At this point I was left feeling a guilty & humiliated by Pauls response, causing me continued stress.
Why was it my fault? he’s paid money to drive another company car?
Can he legally pressure me in these ways? Asking to put the finance in my partners name? Or take finance over a longer period?
Surely their is also a duty of care when offering a person a large amount of finance when I feel it may be unaffordable for me under the circumstances?
So I have asked Paul when my deposit will be refunded? Paul is now ignoring my request of deposit that he clearly stated was fully refundable if I changed my mind? No agreement or terms and conditions were read out by Paul about this deposit at the time of agreeing to make this payment, along with added pressure from Paul saying things like what if someone walks in today and wants to buy this car? You have to consider these things!

Full service & Recall
Friendly and efficient. Booked in for a full service & to have a recall updated on my vehicle, managed to be slotted in a week after I'd called. They had the car for just over 2 hours whilst I went and had breakfast at a local restaurant. They kept their promise of getting the work done quickly.
Work was carried out to a great standard and I was kept informed on the progress, via the TV in the showroom, throughout the process.
Staff were all friendly and happy to help.
Also had my car washed which saved me a job!
The only criticism I have; I had booked in with Honda to have work done - the showroom is now Hyundai. I quickly worked out where to go but I'd imagine some people may find it a bit confusing.
All in all, great service

I was interested in upgrading my car .I dealt with Amy the cars sales rep .we discussed what I needed and she delivered the right vehicle (hyundia tuscon n line s ) what a car .all paperwork was easy .on collection amy sat in the car showed me all the controls so felt quite confident reading all displays when I drove away .the after sales service has been great via Amy ringing making sure everything all OK. And if unsure of anything just pop back and she would show me .oh by the way cars great .well done to everyone concerned .
