My friend ordered a pond from these…

My friend ordered a pond from these people , after a day's the glass cracked down the middle. The glass they used wasn't the correct glass, it should be laminated glass and should be at least 25mm thick , laminated glass is to be used for temperature change and it's toughened so it won't crack with the pressure. The materials used on his pond were very cheap , the silicone job was horrendous and the paint job , please AVOID these people as they have taken 1200 pound off him and won't refund his money , they are scammers , they blocked his number and all he wants is his money back as the product they provided is not fit for purpose.

They came out with a right load of rubbish about his base , when this is level with the spirit level, the garage not being insulated, just complete garbage because they know they are in the wrong and think they can get away with this. They are very rude and nasty people. Please AVOID

This pond is NOT sited correctly, it is sat on 2 stacks of pallets, 3 high, where they meet in the middle they are not even, which means the base is not evenly supported, the glass has cracked directly above this point, on the left of the pallets they are bowing, as there is no support in the pallets on the left side. Customer sent photo's which clearly shows this.
Also, the pond is in a cold garage, he has tropical fish in it, so a heater is in the pond, meaning there is a difference in temperature in the pond and the outside air, this has not helped either.
This customer, same as previous, has quite simply not followed the instructions given on delivery.
The glass is correct, toughened glass shatters and the glass was not 25mm thick.

For future customers reading this, we do know what we are doing and have a lot more genuine happy customers who's ponds are sited correctly and are still going strong after a number of years.
Please don't believe everything you read on the internet.

Ordered a 6ft aquarium in January Wigan

Ordered a 6ft aquarium in January waited the 3 weeks as advised when it arrived was given the instructions of how long to wait before installation so that everything could set advised to make sure everything was level and well padded underneath.
Actually waited 10 days due to decorating everything set up and absolutely wonderful it looks great thanks jungle pets for all the advise.
Please if you order from jungle pets listen to the advise they give as its imperative.

The woman Lisa is extremely rude and says that I've harassed them , it's funny isn't it when someone steals your money for a defective product that you are harassing them. These people are disgusting and when I have finished with them the whole of south Yorkshire will know about them.

This customer has been abusive and yes harassing, I have not been extremely rude, I have just explained that this is consumer error not manufacture.
For future customers reading this, we do know what we are doing and have a lot more genuine happy customers who's ponds are sited correctly and are still going strong after a number of years.

Spend over £2000

I Spend over £2000 for the pond just delivering. Not enough information about installations.When the delivery just gave the document, how to install the pond.I did all installation procedure according there website.Now cracked the glass and leaking from the back corner. Not quality at all; not a good finish and smooth surface when touching the surface, cutting hand. I made the bad mistake of ordering from them. After I found really nice places helping for everything. They delivery and install the pond and keep conact with all helpful informations.These people are just only selling, not helping with anything. When I contact they said wrong installation.Please Please don't buy anything with this jungle pets..absolutely rubbish company .I have a very bad experience.😩

When the driver delivered this, he did advise the customer to site it on a solid base with kingspan underneath, which is also on the delivery sheet given to the customer at time of delivery. The customer sat this pond on flimsy timbers of wood, with no kingspan underneath, this was one of our bigger ponds which when full of water will weigh approx 3 tonnes, the base just was not suitable. Glass will not just crack if ponds are sited on a good solid base with kingspan underneath. This was ordered off the website, which also states the following:
These ponds require setting up on a flat solid surface such as concrete pad etc which has sufficient foundations under not to allow the pond to twist, a layer of kingspan insulation 50mm minimum should then go between the concrete and pond. This will allow the pond to bed down.
We have sold hundreds of these ponds, with very few problems. If sited correctly these ponds will last for years.

After purchasing a tank from them it is…

After purchasing a tank from them it is leaking and clearly shows the silicone is not applied to the corner and leak comes from that corner. After sending pictures and explained the issue JunglePets shows excuses that the base is not strong enough to hold the tank which that doesn’t do anything with leaking. In the picture clearly shows the silicone is not applied like the rest of the tank and the leak comes from that corner but JunglePets refuses to sort it out for me even having 1 year warranty! I will take serious actions on this and will report them and ask my solicitor to make a claim on them.

This customer has sited a 6ftx2ftx2ft aquarium on an uneven base without polystyrene underneath, he has placed pieces of foam pad, which do not cover the base of the aquarium. The stand is not strong enough and in parts is uneven. On top of the aquarium a cash til has been placed, all of these factors will cause problems with the aquarium.

Avoid

Avoid!
Didn't mention the tank I ordered didn't have a lid (In some pictures they did then some didn't). Then refused to sell me the glass lid as "They break when not shipped with a tank?" and would not supply despite me offering "I would be happy to pay postage with a courier?".

Then told I had to order a plastic lid which I did, then waited from July the 10th until I contacted then to get a reply on Aug 15th only to be told I had to pay a separate delivery charge on paypal when their website had let me place an order quoting zero delivery cost.

All questions were met with borderline rude replies, and never apologised for all the hidden costs and "extra's".

As mentioned by many other people, the issues with the company is the customer service! I fully expect to get the same "your fault", or "couldn't care less" response others have got here from Lisa.

The question is: Do you want to be on the end of one of these responses or shop somewhere else?

On our website the aquariums do not show lids on them, unless it is a kit. In the description of the tank ordered it does not mention a lid and in the description of the glass sliding lids it does say, in bold lettering, we cannot send in the post, they are too fragile and offering to pay for a courier will not alter the fact that they always get broken, honestly we have tried several ways to post them.
As for the plastic hood, I did initially send an email regarding postage and there is a drop down box to choose the p&p when you get to checkout, there are no hidden costs and extra's, they are all there in black in white.
I'm sorry if you thought my replies were rude, I certainly did not intend them to be and I do not insinuate the fault lies with the customer and I certainly do care, but the issues here are all in the various descriptions on the website.
Please do shop with us, we have many happy customers who return time and again

AVOID THIS COMPANY - COMPLETE NIGHTMARE WITH VERY RUDE WOMAN - LISA
Don't even know where to start... I ordered a Fibreglass Pond through Ebay, paid extra to have the inside blue, I was contacted a couple of days later to say they didn't have that one available and did I mind having the black interior. It wasn't a big issue so I agreed, although they didn't offer me any refund for the extra I paid... no biggie so I left it.
The pond arrived, but what they don't tell you on there advertisements is you have to wait an extra 10 days to fill for the sealant to cure... on the tenth day I filled it and within a few hours the viewing window cracked and all the water started to spurt out everywhere. I had to quickly put all my expensive fish in the other pond.
I contacted Lisa from jungle pets but she was away so I had to wait till she got back. She agreed to send me a replacement. This time I received the pond I originally ordered, with the blue interior.

I again waited the 10 days but this time time as I started to fill it I could hear it cracking and making noises, so I stopped filling and inspected the pond and there was a small hairline crack on the back where the support bar is, so I left it for a while. I went back a couple of hours later and the crack had doubled in size. By this point I had had enough. I tried to contact Lisa but she wouldn't answer my calls. So I put a complaint in with eBay and opened a case.

Lisa tried to offer another replacement, told me she knew what the problem was and was an easy fix. I told her no I just wanted a refund. This is where she started to turn nasty and blocked my number!

At no point was I rude or nasty, infact I was quite polite about it. However she made life as difficult as possible for me, kept telling ebay it would be collected, so they would stop the refund. Then not collect it then I had to start the process with eBay again. This went on a few weeks.

She also told eBay that it was me that done the damage by dropping it! When the pond eventually was collected she again tried to tell them it was not returned in the same condition it was sent. One last effort to not return my money! She was an absolute nightmare! EBay saw through this and refunded me the money. I would hate to think what would of happened if I bought directly from them! I would never of got my money back.

The pond was also very amateurish, not made well and just looked messy! Not worth the money or the stress! Find a professional company who know what their doing!

I was not rude and certainly not nasty. I blocked the number as I realised that all messages should go through ebay not my personal mobile. The pond with broken glass was replaced without hesitation and was sorted as soon as I returned from holiday. The second pond was certainly not delivered in that state, I have photos to prove this. We believe it was damaged after, by a significant knock or someone standing on the bracing bar on that end. We have never had this problem before, fibreglass is very strong and will not just crack for no reason. We have been making these ponds for years and have many happy customers.
Just a side note, the writer of this review is not the customer who's name appears on the order!

Great Experience

I order from here Monday paid for next day delivery and received them next day 😀 packaged well and no damage to my bales have not opened them yet but I'm sure they are fine. I admit after ordering them I look at the review on here and panicked.
But I can not complain quick speedy service , will definitely be ordering again when I run out !!!!

Scamers and liars

I ordered hood 18x12 for my aquarium and they send me smaller one 17x11, saing that it is put in the description, which is not true. They refuse to give my money back. They are scamers, do not buy from them. I have pictures qhich was send to them but they still claiming that everything is ok.

Didn't rob anyone's money. Customer placed order and then wanted to cancel, sent messages while we were away at a family funeral and got aggressive when we didn't respond. Money was refunded the next day and customer apologised.

Dodgy dealer

Dodgy dealer. Only allows for payment through PayPal friends and family. Blocked me for politely offering to pay PayPal's fees Blatant scammer no question of it.

Edit: Don't listen to their replied excuses. I was very straightforward and obviously didn't expect not to pay up front. I did not want to pay through 'PayPal friends and family' because you eliminate all chance for recourse should the seller not deliver the product. There is no reason to refuse normal methods unless you are attempting fraud in some capacity. In fact, it's fraud in itself lol.

Imagine asking to buy something and a shop blocking you because you ask one question about the product, and want to pay through literally any legitimate channel, kinda shady and definitely rude...
1% chance the seller doesn't know how PayPal works and 99% chance they are scamming people.

EVEN IF I were a wrongfully disgruntled customer and they are the 1%, you would put in the effort to say sorry not interested instead of blocking a perfectly polite and reasonable person looking to spend money with you.

IDK why even attempt to lie to cover tracks in a review. Legit businesses do business legitimately.

We accept payment via card and paypal on our website and by card or cash in the shop, you wanted a piece of glass to be cut and ground but were unwilling to pay it for upfront, we only process special orders when paid for as we have been let down in the past. After what seemed like a hundred messages getting no where, yes you were blocked. We certainly are not dodgy or scammers, we've been in the business for 30 plus years!

Untrustworthy! Avoid this company!

I waited 6 weeks after I made an order for a 7ft aquarium to be told it’s not coming without so much as an apology by a very rude woman called Lisa. No contact from their side, have to chase them for any info. The more I look the more negatives I see with jungle pets, definitely one to be avoided!!!!

I assume you are referring to a delivery for Newquay Cornwall, which is an area we do not deliver to and this is stated on our website, initially we did intend to deliver, but we had a guy off who was very ill and we are struggling for a driver, but you would not have had a problem with our product. We have been selling aquariums and ponds for over 30 years and have hundreds of happy customers, some of whom have left nice reviews, but unfortunately people do like to sound off and slate companies on the internet. I was only 'rude' as you were extremely aggressive and would not let me get a word in.

Not for me

I made a custom order and waited weeks, it got delivered and they'd mixed up the depth and width. Messaged and they said they'll exchange for the right one- which they did. Problem is the new one is very amateur quality. Silicone is in lumps and smears, there's a scratch at the bottom, sides don't line up and aren't flat. I feel it was possibly rushed to sort the issue. Wish I had seen their trustpilot reviews before ordering, I personally feel the quality of the builds need to improve. Due to the quality of the build on mine I don't have 100% trust in its ability to hold water for a long period so I'm back to saving up for another from a reputable seller. The delivery driver was lovely but when he collected our first tank to exchange it, he said he had another one with an issue in the truck too 🙈
Only plus side was the seller (Lisa) was polite when I contacted about the incorrect sizing on the first tank and was apologetic about it.

Exceptional customer service! Incredibly helpful and excellent products. I purchased an iguana and couldn’t be happier with my new Viv too! I can’t understand the negative reviews as what I’ve experienced is the absolute opposite.

Awful

I ordered a tank for my gerbils over two weeks ago. The status had been in "processing" since then. I couldn't get a reply via multiple emails and eventually managed to get a reply through Facebook.

I called the store to ask what was happening with my order only to be told they don't deliver to my area, and they then put the blame on me because "apparently" it states this in the description. It actually states they DO deliver to my area monthly because I checked and double checked... Anyway I was told she'd confirmed my order to the status of processing and added a "note" to say they can't deliver to me. I never ever received anything of the sort.

My issues is.. why process the order if they knew they couldn't deliver to me? Why leave it 2 weeks without bothering to contact me or even reply to my emails.
Apparently they expected me to pick it up after I had already paid the £40 delivery fee.

I understand there's staffing problems. Not my issue. Just don't accept the order and take my money. I've wasted 2 weeks waiting for this order while I could have gone elsewhere and had it by now.

The attitude of the lady on the phone was unbelievable. Making it out to be my fault when the order should never have been accepted in the first place.

I did get a refund.

I can only say if you can.. shop elsewhere.

DO NOT BUY AN AQUARIUM FROM HERE

I ordered a 4ft aquarium on the 23rd of December, finally received it on 1st of February, once I put a black background on the tank I noticed 2 pretty deep scratches on the inside of the front panel of glass that were perfectly parallel and were the same distance apart as the thickness of the glass used so clearly happened during assembly in my view, I was quickly assured I would have a replacement tank ASAP, I received my replacement tank on the 15th of February and what was delivered was a shocking and appalling display of craftsmanship. The front panel of glass was overhanging the joint between the bottom panel of glass on one corner by almost half the thickness of the 10mm glass, so quality control seems non existent I have no doubt that this tank would have eventually leaked had I kept it and used it. I would expect that a replacement tank for one that was already sub standard would have been checked and made sure to be absolutely perfect but obviously not. Do your homework on these guys before you think of buying an aquarium from them (as I wish I had done) there's enough evidence out there from unhappy customers

Do not use for Fibreglass easy ponds.

We placed an order in June and had this delivered in August. When it finally arrived after I have not had your email or the lady is out of office I will get her to call you excuses 8 weeks later we get the call . My reply was I thought I would not ever hear from you we where just about to call and cancel the order . I wish we had .
When it arrived there are lumps bumps uneven surfaces. And no smooth finish . The epoxy paint was still wet and tacky. And the lines where atrocious. There is paint drips on the black to the blue . And the thick lumpy paint in areas looks disgusting. This is not the finish I would expect after handing over nearly 2k with delivery .

Would not use again for anything that you want custom made. The finish on the custom made pond we asked these people to make is no better than something that a toddler group has made in pre school activity.

I am disgusted that they have not replied to the email sent to them on the day of delivery when I spoke with the delivery agent and said to him how disgusting the finish was he just said take it up with them and left . I am warning everyone . If you want a nice finish pond then do not use these guys . This was for our garden and is the centre piece of it we now have to find a way of getting a smooth and edged painted pond. The finish is disgusting. For the money we have paid I would have expected that they would want perfection them selves . After waiting 7 weeks for this our fish needed a new home . This isn't what I expected. I can't post the pictures that I sent them that they say they have not received and have now ignored all correspondence.

Do not buy from here.

Ordered a pond with a viewing window. God i wish id read the reviews before my purchase . Pond came and it was much larger than described. Meaning that the gate post had to be removed to get it into the garden at my own expense. I was annoyed but ok with this. Then on closer inspection the workmanship and quality of the pond was terrible. Lumps and bumps all over, dried drips and missed silicon. I tried to contact the seller but they just ignored my emails. Then i tried to fill it up with water and it leaked from somewhere near the bottom. No holes could be seen but started leaking with less than one inch of water in. After eventually talking to the seller and getting nowhere i went through paypal to get a refund. I arranged for the seller to pick up the pond so i could get my refund through PayPal. They picked up the pond as arranged, but wouldn't acknowledge it to PayPal, so PayPal decided in the sellers favour thinking that it hadn't been returned. After many messages with PayPal they reopened the case. Then the seller falsely claimed that I was to blame for puncturing the pond and claimed it would cost £200 to repair, which they took out of the money they owed me. I eventually got my money back minus the £200 some 3 months after my purchase. So the whole experience has cost me £200. Please dont make the same mistake. The quality and workmanship is utterly rubbish and the customer service particularly from the women on the end of the phone is non existent at best and downright rude at worst.
