Improve Customer Support
Improve your app for Customer Service. Put a clause that holds restaurants accountable. ‘Deliver on time or discount the meal.’
Especially when there is no contact with the customer to communicate issues.
When customer orders are not delivered within the time frame allocated, Just Eat does absolutely nothing to assist! Zero customer support! There is no way to contact Just Eat even though you select the button to highlight a problem. Contact is only with the restaurant. The restaurant should not be allowed to manipulate the app to say that an order was requested for delivery at the time the delivery is due. When I called the restaurant said 5-10 minutes but then admitted that they had not even cooked the meal when I asked, so I requested a cancellation. The woman offered me free prawn crackers and I am allergic to prawns. They did not agree to cancel and sent the meal 40 minutes later. Although hot, the udon was dry and hardly any duck in the dish. They did not even discount the cost for the inconvenience while I had to have an alternative meal because I was by then hypoglycaemic. They could have literally refunded the cost of the rice for the severe delay. No show of good faith.
Meal ordered by 19:28. Manipulated message from Just Eat app at 20:25. Then message to enjoy my meal. Call to the restaurant. Meal delivered at 21:08! Unacceptable!
Previously Olives peri peri in Carshalton did not deliver the pizza from the order. Called the restaurant. The response “for the some reason the courier left the pizza”. Seriously! It’s the restaurant’s job to ensure that the courier takes the entire order. I was never refunded for the pizza that was never delivered and I never ordered from Olives peri peri again. Unfortunately, I cannot repeat this episode with Choo! It’s a shame because both restaurants can put out high quality food.
Just Eat needs to step up! Not leave it to the app and the restaurant!

The pizza arrived one hour later fo the second time
I used Just Eat to order a pizza twice, and both times the pizza arrived an hour later than expected. The firat time they said it wasn't the pizzeria's fault but rather a poor service on their part that hey would have taken care of improving, so I deleted the app and will never use it again.

No longer refund service charges. When half your order is missing they still charge you in full. The service charge is supposed to be percentage of your order. If half my order is missed and I've only received HALF the service, then it's disgusting how they still charge you in full!

Ridiculous waste of time - being hungry
3rd I try - all orders have been mishandled.
1 delivered after 2 hours.
1 delivered them wrong food.
And today I have waited 40 min for an acknowledgment of the order and the restaurant don’t see anything - but the money is logged in MobilePay.
No customer service - last time for us!

Scammed by the driver! Food stolen!
If I could review at a lower rating I would.
I ordered my my food to be delivered to my work location, no worries as we do this regularly. I get a call saying my food is here but the driver needed to confirm the code before coming in due to the heavy rain. That was my mistake, I assumed the delivery driver was just lazy! NO! As it would turn out the driver proceeded to not deliver my food, and by the time I made it to the front of my building it was clear that nobody had even come into the car park. No delivery was attempted. I contacted Just eat, finding there is no phone number I managed to get onto their emails to chase the matter down. Not a single care was given. As far as the company stands my code was put in on the drivers side of the app and therefore the delivery wasn't their issue. I have proceeded to delete the app as evidently there is no customer service beyond point of sale and taking your money. It was only £15, but there was no attempt to discuss the matter, no a care was given and because of that I wont entertain using the scamming, thieving, dishonest cretins again.

Disappointing service and no support
Ordered food with them. The fish was spoiled and tasted weired. When informed them, firstly it was taking forever with each answer the CS gave and just used pre-typed comments. And at the end said to just leave a review on the place I ordered from and that they can't do anything else! I haven't experienced such a terrible CS before!

Think just eat is getting worse, I've had numerous bad experience with takeaways from different places, sent them an email to just eat with photos, and they say no refund, i spent over £30 on a Chinese takeaway,the reviews looked good and i thought it will be mica quality Chinese, was very disappointed, even tho i added in the notes certain things, they didn't meet them, emailed just eat and as usual no refund given, I've been with just eat for years but now it's going down hill, I've provided enough evidence but doesn't seem good enough to them, think i might try a different takeaway company, uber eats, deliveroo

Ordered shopping from Supermarket, when Order came I was handed one bag, should have been 3, asked about the rest, told to take that 1 & get refund on what was missing, I was so annoyed, I did this straight away, my bag I had contained about £15worth, so £40 worth missing, I've had no refund no replies to emails, I even complained at Supermarket still heard nothing from them, so I'm down by£40 which I can not afford to be.

I ordered a McDonald's delivery in the wek through the just eat app, when it finally arrived the food was stone cold the milkshakes were runny and the oasis was warm and no ice. I contacted just eat several times and to receive their response was they are going to put £3.92 as a good will though my order was over £40. This is not a good advert for McDonald's. This order took over an hour to get and on top of that it was rubbish and had to be thrown into the bin and we didn't have dinner that night. Please be aware and careful and if you ever use just eat. So many reports on the delivery service is unbelievable, I've just read some of the reviews and there's so many.
